We had a great time at Sunset Pointe, and would recommend Sharene's condo to anyone traveling to Placencia. It had all the comfort's of home as well as being in a beautifull part of Belize. Placencia has a lot of charm, and is great place for sightseeing, fishing, snorkelling, diving etc. Paul and Carolyn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo, very nicely done with high end furniture and decorations. So much to do in Placencia, we just loved it. We will be going back for sure. Everything was as described in the property ad, very clean and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone considering Placencia and the owner was very helpful throughout. Restaurants were plentiful and very good, however in October several were closed because it is their slow season but that was understandable. The weather was still great and comfortable. Most everything is within walking distance so bring your comfy shoes or sandals. We will definitely be back again!

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful sailing trip and the stay in your beautiful condo in Placencia just topped it off! We thoroughly enjoyed the walks into the village and meeting and talking with the friendly people. After getting our "land legs" back from sailing we set up a tour with Francisco. I was a little reluctant to go on "a tour" but it ended up being one of the highlights of our vacation! We visited a banana plantation, had breakfast at Rosa's, explored Mayan ruins, then hiked up to a cave through some of the most beautiful rain forest I've ever seen. One of our most memorable experiences was jumping into refreshingly cool water and swimming into the heart of a cave! That rated right up there with kayaking into the Biolumenescent Bay in Puerto Rico. Thank you and your friends for making our stay so enjoyable! I felt like I was staying at a friends home. . .
Owner response:Hi there, So glad you went with Francisco. He knows all the little special places and my guest end up having so much fun when he has the time to take them. Rosa & Francisco have taken me up to the mountians at 5 Sisters Lodge and all over the place up there and I tell you memories of a life time. Belize is small but full of adventrue. Look forward to seeing you back soon. Smiles

Sharene, My wife and I just wanted to leave a brief note to thank you for making our Belize vacation so very special. This trip was the most special, relaxing and fun vacation we have had in quite a while and one that will never be forgotten. Sharene, thank you for sharing your fantastic condo with us. We loved everything about it and felt very comfortable and safe there. Sunset Pointe is a special place with great amenities, a beautiful layout and was very relaxing. The grounds and pool were clean, beautiful and enjoyable to view and use. Your condo was especially nice and had everything you could think of available for our use. I would recommend your condo to anyone that is looking for a great place to stay in Placencia! Thanks again for letting us stay in your little piece of paradise! Francisco, (caretaker at Sunset Pointe) thank you for answering every question we had, even those we asked twice or more. Your hospitality and service were greatly appreciated and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. Thanks also for getting in touch with Alfred (local fishing guide) for us. The trip to the island on his boat, cooking a fantastic tasting lunch for us, fishing for the big ones and then racing the pod of dolphins on the way back to land were a special memory for my wife and I. Please let him know that we really, really appreciated his service. We also enjoyed the ride you provided to the airport for our departure from your country. We hated to leave your beautiful country as we returned to our home in the states. Raul, (driver/guide) thank you for picking us up at Belize City. Your attention to our every wish and desire and then passing on a tiny piece of knowledge of your beautiful country made our travel to Placencia very special. We loved the place you picked for our lunch as we enjoyed a great meal and short break in the trip. The features of the countryside you shared with us - the trees, plants, inland blue hole, speed bumps and snakes (especially the fer de lance that struck at your car as we were driving by it on the side of the road at about 40 miles an hour) will never be forgotten. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience and personal views of Belize. These memories will be with us forever! Sharene, thanks again to you & your staff that you make available for guests at your beautiful condo! It really makes the stay very pleasurable, smooth & easy! We hope to return again to Belize sometime in the near future.

We travelled with another couple and all really enjoyed our 3 week stay. The scenic condo was lovely, clean, and very well furnished. Lots of nice personal touches to make it feel like a well cared for home. The tiled pool has shade under a palapa or sunny areas with comfortable padded lounge chairs. There is also a pier with a large palapa and 2 padded loungers jutting out on the ocean side. It was one of our favorite areas as it's totally relaxing and zen like. Also there is a deck off the condo where we ate our meals, as well smaller covered deck area on the roof to which has a stunning view and chairs for reading or relaxing. It's an easy walk into the village for food, inexpensive restaurants, shopping and a good swimming beach. People were all very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can think of is that there are small insects in Belize "no see ems" which do bite and leave you itchy. Bug spray or Avon's "skin so soft" would be helpful. The owner Sharene was most helpful and accommodating. She recommended a great guide Alfred Williams who took us snorkeling to other islands, fishing, as well as to Monkey River on a jungle outing. YES we would Highly recommend this property to others.
Owner response:Thanks tons for the great review. You guys are the best!

We were fortunate to find Sunset Pointe in Placencia. We by far had the most beautiful condo there. The place was decorated in the most pleasing way. the front patio was so relaxing with a deluxe patio set, lounger and amazing views to the lagoon. Out the back deck was a gorgeous view of the ocean. I loved that it was on the 1st floor, it made it so assesable. Sharene is just the best. She is very detailed oriented. She had a huge binder with all kind of information and places to shop, eat and do. Alfred took us out on our outings. We went fishing with him and he got 5 lobsters while we got a grouper, baracuda, snapper and mackeral. He cooked our lunch with our catch. WOW Francisco, the caretaker of Sunset Pointe was very helpful and kind. What an amazing time we had in paradise. The pool and hot tub were increible. This is a DO NOT MIss place. Thanks Sharene for sharing your Place with us. Susan and Dennis in Idaho CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Owner response:Hi there, Thank you for the great review. I sure hope you come back to Belize again. I really enjoyed meeting all of you. Things are just prefect here as usual and it is sunny but not too hot. Hope to see you again soon!! Cheers

We found Sharene's unit exceptional in location and amenities for the two of us. The Sunset units are ideal for 2 or 4 people maximum, no matter if it is a lower or upper unit. Sharene's unit on the first floor had good views both front and back towards the water. We especially enjoyed watching the boats coming through the channel each day. We did not rent a car but did get a bicycle that was helpful in getting around the small village. The local residents were always very helpful and interesting to talk to each day, and the food in the restaurants was generally very good. We recommend Omar's. We did alot of cooking because the kitchen was outfitted better than our own. And being surrounded by Sharene's art collection made us feel that we were transported to another part of the world. Definitely the best unit at Sunset, and we looked at alot.
Owner response:Thank you so much you two. Loved your comments. Please keep in touch and if you are ever near Canada look us up. Keep in touch!

I am so very sorry for not writing this sooner. My wife and I went to Belize in Oct 2010. When we contacted Sharene about renting her condo, we could just feel her excitement. She answered our questions and helped us arrange transportation and even allowed us to use her name to get a discount when purchasing wine. What a WONDERFUL vacation we had. Her condo was by far, the best we have ever experienced. Franciso and his family (the grounds keeper) were absolutely fabulous. My wife and I wanted to take a trip to the zoo and Franciso took us there and was our guide. We were able to arrange for a guide to give us a tour of Monkey River. He picked us up right at our condo. Another day, he took us snorkeling at the reef - HOW BEAUTIFUL ! Fresh lobster was available within a 10 minute walk and ladies came to our doorstep to offer their handmade wares. It was so wonderful to lie in bed in the early mornings and watch the cattamarans going out the channel. We could get out of bed and go onto the back porch and see forever. Fishing off the private dock was great and watching the amazing sunsets was so very romantic. Where I work, there are lots of guys taking vacations all over the world and I just got finished telling one of my friends about Sharenes condo. Almost a year after being there, I felt exhilirated thinking about the wonderful time we had and I feel like telling my wife to pack her bags - we're headed there again. Sharene was simply amazing in giving assistance and answereing questions. Sharene, although I didn't get to meet you personally, I feel you are a wonderful woman and I want to thank you for making your condo available to us. Cheers ! Bobby & Jan
Owner response:Hey Bobbie & Jan, Wow, I love my guests! What a wonderful suprise to get such great feed back. I wondered how you were both doing and hope you are feeling great. I fixed that bed problem you mentioned to Francisco. I have a couple that are chiropractors friends of mine stay at the condo and they figuared it out. They fixed it while they stayed there. Ha Ha. You know me I want everything to be perfect for my guests. Got lots of cool artwork you havn't seen we added to the grounds and everything is looking great.. Keep in touch!

I have had the opportunity to visit many resorts, and none quite compare to our visit to Placentia. From our initial dealings with our fabulous hostess, to an exquisite property in a wonderful locale with the friendliest of locals, our vacation experience was superb. Thank you Sharene for a great experience in a great, well-equipped property.

I have stayed at this condo twice and can't wait to get back again. What comfort and with every convenience you could wish for in accomodation and if you want to cook the choices of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables can even come to your doorstep and the kitchen has everything a chef could want. I took short walks into the heart of the village and found many interesting small markets and unusual and unique shops. I tried as many restaurants as I could and there are many to choose from. Some are famous restaurants along the peninsula that even pick you up and bring you back from their resorts. I've gone boating around many of the small cayes and still can't get used to the beauty of the crystal clear tourquois warm water and looking at magnificent pale pastel huge filigred leaves of coral beneath. You can watch the mante rays and see large conche shell rolling with the waves. Many of these beautiful cayes I looked at from the widow's walk on the top of the condo and enjoyed the view of the water on three sides. I tried to "unbusy" myself and relax around the salt water swimming pool during the days and enjoy the hot pool in the evenings. That reminds me of the postcard sunsets without fail every evening. "What Kodak moments". I am a real lover of the tropics and basked in the sun many places and I have to say that Sunset Point offers me more choices for r'n'r or jungle exploring and ancient ruins expeditions than I could ever get in Mexico and I do appreciate that communication is less challenging as English is the language spoken in Belize. I found the airport in Placenica refreshing after going through all the homeland security airports and it is just a few minutes away from the condo and a driver is available from the resort to help with everything. If anyone wants to ask me about my times at Sunset Point I would be pleased to share more with them about how fantastic a place I found it to be and I just can't wait until I return.

Dear Mary - I am back at my desk this morning, head is still floating as if I were still diving, and I am so thrilled with the memories of seeing the whale sharks! Thanks you for making it all happen for me and my friends. You are the best!!!! Tell Sherene that we loved her condo. Martin was very helpful. And our favorite cab driver was Derek! He lives on the same street as the condo. The dive shop staff was wonderful. Everything was PERFECT! Is there someone or some website that I could post this ? Best of everything to you, and thank you again. Ginger Dr. Virginia Jenkot Assistant Principal Plaza "Year-Round" Elementary School
