The home features a large master suite with king size bed and a desk perfect for a laptop computer, a second bedroom with a queen size bed, and a third bedroom with twin beds and futons for additional guests. The living area features a large, comfortable sectional perfect for lounging and watching movies. Additionally, the property has a basement lounge area with FOOSBALL, TV and PS2 system for video games and DVDs. This area is perfect for older children. Outdoors, the large deck features a covered dining table and chairs and a BBQ for outdoor dining. The large kid-friendly backyard is perfect for fun and games for the entire family. In addition, the house has central air conditioning and heating.
During your stay in this charming updated home, leave your car parked and walk 2 short blocks to the Deschutes River and the pedestrian footbridge over the river to Drake Park and all that downtown Bend has to offer including the Munch and Music concerts in the park, the Farmers' Market and Bend's many holiday celebrations and festivals. Walk 1.5 Blocks to Newport Market and Newport Shopping District including two of Bend's best coffee spots: Nancy P's Baking Company and Backporch Coffee Roasters. Walk 2 blocks to the Galveston Street Shopping District and enjoy local favorites like Longboard Louie's (Mexican) and Mother's Juice Bar.
A quick 5 minute walk takes you to Bend's Ride the River shuttle which will drop you at the top of the Deschutes for a spectacular float down the river. Bike to the Old Mill District in less than 10 minutes to enjoy shopping, dining and concerts at the Les Schwab Amphitheater. A 5 minute car trip (or 10 minute bus ride) takes you to Juniper Swim & Fitness, Bend's superb public pool and fitness facility with olympic size pools, water slide, yoga and cardio classes and state of the art gym.
In the winter, hop on the Mount Bachelor Resort Super Shuttle to spend a day on the slopes. The shuttle stop and parking is located less than 1 mile from the cottage.

Comfortable updated home. Fell in love with Bend on family visit in 2008. 2 block walk to the Deschutes River, Drake Park, Downtown Bend, Newport Shopping District, and the River Shuttle. 10 minute bike ride to the Old Mill district and less than 1 mile to the Mt Bachelor Shuttle.

We stayed for 11 days over Christmas this year. It is a great little house. The bathrooms and kitchen have been remodeled. The outstanding feature is that the heating vent is right under the sink--warm feet is a great thing! The kitchen has everything under the sun. We were able to make side dishes for a large Christmas dinner easily with the tools and serving dishes. There are a lot of big plastic bowls which would work well for summer I think. Our family of four liked that each child had a bedroom and they shared a bath. The washer was really convenient and worked very well (note that they supply laundry detergent for you). Our family played a lot of foosball and thought it was a highlight of the house (note you have to go outside to take the stairs down to the basement). It is very convenient to everything you'd want to do in Bend. There's a grocery store 3 blocks away, Cuppa Yo 2 blocks, and a fantastic bakery 2 blocks away (Nancy P's, try the scones). The mountains are close as is Drake Park. Its a great house, you simply can't go wrong renting it!

My husband and I rented this house for the month of August. Great location....an easy walk to town and Drake Park. Well stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed for a comfortable month stay, and accomodated our guests easily. The deck and back yard were nice for entertaining. Very comfortable beds to sleep in, with plenty of extra towels and sheets and blankets. We loved the welcoming front yard with lavendar plants. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was clean and well kept up. Besides, the easy walk into town, we were close to Newport Market (great grocery store!)....and Chow restaurant (yum!), Kebaba, and 10 Barrel Brewing company (great beer and pizza!) So much to do...so many more restaurants to try.......we want to come back next year!

My husband and I recently stayed at this home in Bend and had a most enjoyable stay. The house is extremely comfortable, and we found everything we needed to make our stay a pleasant one. The location of the house is ideal--just two blocks from the bridge to Drake Park, and very easy access to the Newport Market (which we loved). I would definitely recommend this house to others who may be considering a visit to Bend.

The location is very central for Bend. Close to my favorite market...Newport Avenue Market. Home is cozy and comfortable. My three teenage boys loved it as they all got a bed and played games downstairs even in the cold.

This home is located in a great spot, close to local restaurants, grocery stores, and other entertainment. A short walk will take you across the Deschutes into downtown Bend. Nice amenties and floor plan, with ample outdoor deck space and a nice sized back yard. A great find for the price!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house in Bend. It was close to the park and close to downtown shops and restaurants but in a very quiet neighborhood. We also appreciated that it was easy to get to Century Drive and on our way up to Mt Bachelor. The house has been extensively updated and the renovations were very tastefully done. The house was nice without being fussy. The furniture was comfortable and great for us to hang out after skiing. Good job. We would definately rent this house again.

We felt right at home in this rental. We settled in quickly - large dining table made a great for a workspace for the two of us, kitchen with everything you could possibly need, very easy to use laundry set, and quiet, peaceful and comfortable bedroom. We really enjoyed the clean yet homey design of the home, the owners clearly put some thought and effort into the interior design and have good sense of style (not always the case with VRBOs :) ) The master bedroom is set off to the back of the home, so it was easy for one person to sleep there while the other was up and about in the living room and kitchen. The porch was very inviting, and the sliding door to the porch lets in alot of light to the living room. The location is in a nice residential neighborhood, a couple short blocks away from a few cute restaurants, a great coffee shop and a grocery store. Downtown is a longer walk or easy drive (had no problem parking), but there are alot of local restaurants, shops etc on this side of the river too. Had no problems getting in touch with Christopher to setup our rental, and didn't encounter any problems during our stay. Would definitely stay again or recommend to a friend.

My family of 6 stayed here for 4th of July weekend. Great location-Great time -We walked to park/downtown/grocery store. Our 4 kids range from 11-19 and this place worked out perfect for both the kids and adults. Master bedroom was comfortable - used desk for work. Boys liked having their own bed, girls didn't mind sharing a queen. Kids/Dad liked the wifi, game room/TV/video games in the basement and nice TV in house. Kitchen had everything we needed and we did cook. Family room / dining area fit us all very comfortably and the back porch/backyard was perfect for just hanging out between outings in Bend. Beds comfortable - house is very clean and had everything we needed. Other than bathrooms being a bit on the small side this place is perfect and exactly what we were looking for. I would make a point to stay here again when we come back to Bend. Good fit for two couples + two singles OR a family of up to 6 OR Family of 4 plus 2 (grandparents - friends). For the price - even is you only have 2-4 in your party and you want a house (vs condo/hotel) this place is a great find if you want to be near Drake Park/Downtown/Central Bend.

If you are looking for a Bend experience 'in the residential neighborhood' type of place to stay, super close to town and at a very reasonable rate, look no further than the RiverWalk Cottage. Loved the coffee shop, bike rental store, great restaurant (Kebaba's), footbridge to town, all within a few short walkable blocks away. VERY complete kitchen with supplies, laundry room, outdoor deck, card games, books, foosball table---Really, you don't have to bring anything but clothes & toothbrush!

This is a great place to stay ! You get a lot of value here for the price. Great Location, Quiet neighborhood, Clean, Well supplied. Walk over river foot bridge to town or drive anywhere. Just as described on website. Would stay again on next trip to Bend.
