This is a wonderful apartment. It is full of light and good air ventilation. It is very private and quiet day and night. It is most centrally located. It is elegant and relaxing and very comfortable. Really, it is hard to find a more peaceful place to stay in the downtown center of Girona.
Pay car parking is available right in front of the building. All the major shops are also immediately downstairs. Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti, ProMod, Mango plus many wonderful boutiques in every direction. The shopping in Girona is fantastic! Just 2 blocks towards the river Onyar, is the farmer's market and beginning of the medieval old town. More shops and fantastic restaurants, including many cafes with outdoor seating. The train and bus station is also just 2 blocks away, where you can take day trips to Barcelona, Figueres, the beach, many more medieval villages, and skiing or hiking in the Pyrenees. France is 1 hour north by car or train. The nearest (and truly lovely) beach is 25 minutes by car.

Year Purchased: 2005
I am an artist who also loves to renovate and decorate apartments. This project was completed in 2007 and I am very happy with it. The light and high ceilings lend themselves beautifully to the contemporary/modernist decorating style and the finished look and feeling of the apartment is clean, calm and elegant. Original paintings and prints adorn the walls and there is a wonderful quiet peacefulness in this apartment, it is very special.
Why the Owner Chose Girona
Girona is simply a beautiful medieval city. I have lived here for 10 years now and never tire of walking the many pedestrian cobblestone streets flanked by massive stone-walled buildings. It is just the right size for walking everywhere, while still taking advantage of all the big city amenities such as multi-screen cinemas, theaters, museums, galleries, restaurants, shops and parks.
