This darling unit is a trailer- BUT WAIT not just any trailer! Located on an acre, it has character that will brighten your spirit. It was my home for 3 years while building my new coastal craftsman home on the property. Being in the creative design industry, I made sure it was comfortable and visually appealing. Since trailer was manufactured in 1959, I gave it a retro feel. This unit makes me feel happy – so I’m sure it will do the same for you.
We’ll keep you supplied with organic fruits and veggies depending on abundance at times. Lemons are always in abundance! This property is a family compound, my son, wife and two children live in the main house, my house is the carriage house above the garage.
We are a surfing family so boogie boards and surf boards are available as are beach towels and chairs, we may even come up with some wetsuits if needed. Property is very safe and secure with off street parking . Grounds are currently being landscaped by resident garden designer (yes me)!
We are pet friendly as you’ll see by our two cats and 2 Cavalier King Charles. Smaller room can be set up as a bedroom with twin bed or as office with desk, chair, etc… ( your choice).

Why the Owner Chose Encinitas
I was blessed to have bought this property in 1983. The original house that I loved so much was a darling farm house that was built in 1936. This property was originally a dairy goat farm and it is still zoned for Agricilture. At one time Encinitas was THE FLOWER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD.
Property became too valuable and greenhouses moved inland. So our area up here is quit special in so many ways. THE TRAILER, purchased in 1989 served as additional office space for 16 yr.
Then I moved walls, updated plumbing and electrical to accomodate me for the next 3 yrs. Everything went in brand new from toilet to refrigerator and everything in between. I love living around nice things and I know that you will love it.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage Trailer
This unit would not be suited for large men. Remember it's a trailer! 10' wide x 50' long with an 8'x8'add-on. I want guests to enjoy this very special property. Quiet and relaxing lounging around in the yard or on your deck, listening to all the wonderful birds that call our trees home. The entire landscape was destroyed with all the building that went on for 3 yrs. So it is a work in progress. Every amenity that I could think of (within reason) has been included so that you can enjoy this SPECIAL PLACE with us.
1 1/2 mile from beaches,1/2 mi. to freeway,Downtown San Diego 25 mi.,LaJolla 12 mi. Legoland 5 mi. Disneyland 1hr&10min.

I'm Mary Lou, I recently sold my Interior Landscape business so I could retire and totally enjoy the fruits of my labor after 34 yrs. of doing "my ideal job". My absolute greatest joys are working in my yard and garden designing and spending time with my grandchildren. I'm blessed to have 2 of them living on the property with their mom and dad. I get to hear "I love you Nana" at the very least a dozen times a week. Lucky me! Keith (my son)is a passionate softball player, surfer and steers a mean jogging stroller with baby Kayden (Oct.'08). Caroline (daughter-in-law) loves
jogging and is loyal to her work-out at the gym, still loves the beach, but doesn't get to surf much anymore. Jade (12 yrs.) the absolute total So. Cal. surfer dude who
surfs every day no matter the weather. Skate boarding is on the back burner now, but still plays Little League. And may I add 'habitual' Honor Roll Student.
