This beach house is great for groups and families alike who want to walk to the beach and enjoy the Hermosa Beach area! The beach is steps away and you can enjoy the view from the deck! The home is in a pleasant neighborhood with both homes and small businesses. The pier, bars, and restaurants are all walking distance and the grocery is a short drive. You can rent bikes and such at the pier. Mickey's Deli receives a lot of patronage from renters, because it's right next door and offers good deli meals and all your convenience store-type items. The floor plan configuration is great for groups. We were 12 adults and admittedly it sometimes felt "cozy," but everyone had a private bedroom, so no one had to sleep on the living room couch. The 3 full baths were busy before dinner but were otherwise sufficient. The living room and kitchen can get crowded during meals, but just open the double sliding glass doors to the wonderful deck with patio furniture! Overall, the home felt slightly smaller than pictured, but I have to stress that we had 12 adults, all with their own agendas! I truly believe if you have 10 adults or some children, this house will be perfectly sized. Also, you can park 4 cars, and the door is a keypad lock–nice for groups! The home is nicely furnished, thoughtfully appointed, and well stocked. There are plenty of linens, dishware/glasses, and kitchen gear. We definitely took advantage of the full kitchen and washer/dryer. The bedrooms and baths are nice and well maintained. We never ran out of hot water after everyone showered; a pleasant surprise! The AC/heating is a little wonky though. We couldn't get the up and downstairs systems to work together. The upstairs was too warm and the downstairs too cool, so we opened the patio doors for the cool breeze to even it out. We were happy to have wifi and HD cable. There are TVs/DVD in every room. The home is very clean and organized. The cleaning crew must do a great job, because there is no evidence of pet hairs, odors, or stains in this pet-friendly home. We brought a dog who seemed very comfortable. The second floor deck has netting so pets don't fall. It was really easy to contact the Dreamcatcher Marketing propery managers and they are so pleasant. Claudia and Rachél are very sweet, reply quickly, and informative. It was also super convenient to reach our contact person during our stay. I just texted Linda with questions and she replied instantly! Please check out this house!

We were over for a wedding in September and this place was perfect, cracking view of the beach! House is well kitted out with everything you need. Also Tammy's Corner Cafe just across the road does an awesome breakfast and a convenience store next door helps a lot.

Good location, located a few steps from the strand and beach. Plenty of room with nice contemporary upgrades recently. All areas are well-appointed. Hi-def flat screens in all rooms, ceiling fans, lots of blankets and pillows. Jacuzzi tubs in all restrooms AND dual showerheads. Beach towels and regular towels and linens were provided. If you bring bicycles, a car will not fit in the garage (unless you're super good at Tetris), but tandem parking is available at the property. Boogie Boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, a few beach toys available for use. Upstairs patio is where the fun is at: plenty of room with a decent view of the beach, a small stereo system is present, but there are outlets on the patio to plug-in your favorite noisemaking devices, in my case an MP3 player and my bass guitar equipment. . During the late afternoon, the sun can blind you in the upstairs living room, but the patio umbrella takes care of that nicely. LARGE BBQ located on upstairs patio with plenty of seating and a table/umbrella. Pet-friendly, the hostess placed a mesh fence on upstairs patio railing to prevent little dogs from crashing to the earth. I would lend the advice to use the provided hose to spray down the patio when you first arrive, as dust and dirt (constant breeze) might get your feet dirty. The area surrounding the property is rife with options for fun and entertainment. Directly next door is a deli with great sandwiches and sundries. The strand is a dog walker bike rider skateboarder rollerblader jogger runner walker people watcher paradise. The pier contains many bars and eateries, as well and bike/gear rental options. We visited: the beach, the beach, the strand, the sea lab, the pier, redondo pier, manhattan beach pier, and we took a LOOOOONNG ride to Venice beach (26 mile round-trip by bicycle) and hung out there for a bit. My wife and 11&9 year old girls handled it like champs. You can get almost anywhere with a bicycle, in fact I parked the vehicle when we arrived and didn't start it again until we left. The rental experience was pain-free and the hostess all the way to the owner of the property were very helpful and kind. Thanks for a great experience!

The rooms are thoughtfully appointed (reading lamps, for example, by each bed, good quality sheets and towels -- and plenty of towels) - - nice bathrooms, and enough living room/dining room furniture to fit my family of twelve (plenty of stools and benches, too). We've rented this house for two years (one week each), and we all want to come back again this coming summer. Close to the beach, next door to Mickeys where there is great pizza and good submarine sandwiches -- all in all, the most comfortable beach house we;ve ever rented in our ten summers of our family reunions The listing accurately described the house, the amenities. A small group of friends (mid 30-somethings) gathered from all over to spend a quiet weekend getting sun, exercise, and a few well-deserved beers. The house is perfect for a decent size group, with beds in every nook and cranny, nice kitchen, washer and dryer, and plenty of bathrooms. The house is also nicely decorated, with a huge deck overlooking the beach. We were all comfortable, and had room to relax. The house is well-stocked, and the owner a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended. One minor gripe is the electronic door can be a bit of challenge, but we ended up carrying around the garage clicker to reduce hassle.

We stayed at this house the summer of 2010. The five bedrooms were perfect for two families and my parents - there was 11 of us in total. The adults got their own rooms and the kids shared a large room that could sleep all four of them comfortably. Steps from the beach with a great view of the Sunset which we watched every night. The layout of the house is perfect - kitchen, living/dining room is upstairs with a great deck facing the ocean - with all the bedrooms downstairs. The 3 bathrooms and TV's in every room including the bedrooms made it easy for everyone. The people renting the house were great, especially since we were coming from the east coast - they definitely made us feel comfortable we made the right choice - and we definitely did!
