FROM THE FRONT DOOR, TURN LEFT AND THE BEACH IS RIGHT THERE, TURN RIGHT AND IT'S JUST A QUICK WALK ON THE BOARDS TO THE POOL.
Bright and airy oceanfront townhouse is perfect for your family vacation getaway. Ocean Glen is a small, quiet, 38 unit complex located on the barrier island of Bogue Banks. It is nestled in the maritime forest right next to the 200 acre Teddy Roosevelt Preserve. No high rises here. Beach is wide and uncrowded. Friendly, family atmosphere. You can meet and mingle with the other Ocean Glen vacationers or maintain your privacy - the choice is yours.
Our beach home is very clean and attractively furnished. Many of our renters have commented on how really nice our place is. The Master Bedroom has a full private bath, queen-size bed and balcony WITH WONDERFUL VIEW OF OCEAN, BEACH AND TEDDY ROOSEVELT PRESERVE. AT NIGHT YOU CAN SEE THE CAPE LOOKOUT LIGHTHOUSE FLASHING IN THE DISTANCE. There are two other bedrooms - one with two twin beds, the other with a full. These rooms share another full bath. Downstairs there is a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, sunroom, large living room, plus a half bath. As the beach is south-facing, you can relax on the deck and watch spectacular sunrises or sunsets or spy a dolphin or two.
Although Ocean Glen is secluded and quiet, it is not off the beaten path. Within one mile there are restaurants, amusements (miniature golf, bumper boats and go carts), shops, kayaking, parasailing, jet-skiing, gas station, library, and post office. Also, the North Carolina Aquarium is only half mile away, located in the Roosevelt Preserve on the bay side of the island. They offer varied activities all year round for all ages (the On- Board Cruise is our favorite) plus walking nature trails.
We started coming to Ocean Glen as renters in 1991 with our young sons. We liked it so much, we kept coming back (sometimes twice a year) until we finally purchased our place in 1996. Ocean Glen is a wonderful place to vacation. If you like noisy condos and crowded beaches --- this AIN"T the place for you. My family and I have been coming here for several years now and we always experience total relaxation and comfort. The owners are wonderful to work with and the Townhome is immaculate. Thanks for opening your home-away-from home to others, like myself, to be blessed.

My family rented Ocean Glen the second week of July 2011. I must admit, at first I was nervous about using VRBO. However the owners made the experience stress and worry free! I was concerned about staying in a condo, we're used to renting homes in Emerald Isle. This condo was quiet, well kept, clean, and had everything that we could have needed and more. PKS is close to both Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach, but has it's own uncrowded private feel. Even mid-summer the beaches and pool were never crowded. Even though it is a condo unit you can still enjoy peace and quiet. All the other guests and owners were kind, polite, and family oriented. In the evenings the view of the moon, lighthouse, and sounds of the nature preserve just next door were terrific! We hope to return as a family in the near future. We rented this unit over the Memorial Day weekend for an extended weekend. We enjoyed the layout of the condo as well as it's location. It was the ideal place for our weekend getaway. We had a slight problem with the AC unit on the first day but as soon as I notified the owners they were in contact with maintenance and had them on-site within the hour. The maintenance man was able to quickly identify and resolve the issue. We didn't miss a beat during the vacation due to the quick response of the owners. They kept in contact with us to ensure the issue was resolved and that we were able to continue happily with our vacation. We will definitely rent this unit again and would recommend the unit to families and friends! You definitely must have a shrimp burger from Big Oak Drive-In - call ahead as they are ver popular and very busy! I would also recommend Flipperz back in Emerald Isle - they have and excellent tuna sandwich!! Whether you are a group of friends or a family you will truly enjoy this rental unit! It's clean, well maintained and very inviting!

We don't want to tell anyone how excellent this property and condo is. We want to keep it all for ourselves so we can rent it every time we want a great vacation. Everything is wonderfully maintained. Very comfortable. Feels like home.

We all just love Ocean Glen. Your vacation home is so comfortable, clean and we really enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to have a pool and a beautiful beach. We could hear the ocean and the birds from the reserve next door. It was wonderful!

We drove 16 hours straight to your lovely place I had “randomly” picked off the internet. We were delighted it is such a clean and tasteful relaxing place. The weather, beach, pool and house were all perfect. We did all the “touristy” things yet felt most relaxed on the beach right outside your door. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful condo with our family. Very much worth the long drive!! We hate to leave.

When the rental near my parents house fell through, we hit the net and found this townhouse. It exceeded our expectations!! So clean and nicely appointed. The kids loved the floor plan, and had a great time being able to go to the beach at any moment and they did at least twice a day. The reason for our trip was to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday. My sister and here family came in from Alaska and stayed with the parents in PKS. We were able to get together several times over the week. But the best part was our kids having such great access to the ocean and the beach. They swam and splashed with fish and dolphins upon occasion. Castles were built and holes were dug. Shells were amassed and bikes were ridden We feel very fortunate to have ended up here – we had a great time and are looking forward to coming back in the future. Thanks for letting us stay here.
