This place is a gem. It is a wonderful hideaway. We had plenty of room for 7 adults and all our ski stuff. We would go back in a minute!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

It is convenient to Tanglewood (10 minutews), theaters and museums. The well equipped home includes an extensive supply of cooking and serving pieces as well as extras such as cleaning supplies and seasonings. The downstairs area with one bedroom and living room and the upstairs area with the master bedroom, kitchen and sitting area provide a comfortable living space for 2 couples and/or adults with children older than 5. This is not a place if you have difficulty walking stairs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a wonderful property - it's very spacious for a 2 BR and it really can accommodate a large group. The home is clean and new and exactly as described so we were very happy with the property. The owner provided us with very clear instructions on everything, and all light switches and cabinets are very well-labeled. When we did have questions, she was very responsive. We really enjoyed it and would recommend this property and rent again if coming back to the area. It is well-equipped with bath products and all kitchen supplies, coffee, etc. Our group of friends was very happy to have found this rental.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Lisa ... Thank you for your kind review. Will now make sure there are utensils to make a Lobster Diner ! Lois Ferguson

We enjoyed our stay in the house and found the location superb for Tanglewood, theater in Lenox and Stockbridge! The house was well stocked with spices and papergoods, and had all the soaps etc for personal and laundry use. All we needed to buy was food!!! We have rented other houses before and this is the first one equiped like this. It took a bit to adjust to all the ups and downs of steps but it was not a problem. thank you for your hospitality!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed here for a 3 person friend weekend. The house is well appointed and maintained and the deck overlooking the river is great. It's right next to a little general store but we were not disturbed by any traffic. the house is ideal for a couple with either an extra friend or 1 or 2 kids. I would definitely stay here again (only drawback for me is that dogs aren't allowed). The house is within 1 or 2 blocks of Rouge, an excellent bistro, and interesting craft-y stores. ANd it's a 15 minute drive to Tanglewood or Stockbridge center.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

What a treat to vacation in this unique property! It's extraordinarily equipped, provides lush sheets and towels, and is in a picturesque setting within 15 minutes of Tanglewood, Lenox, Pittsfield and Stockbridge. There's a great restaurant right in town (Rouge) and MANY good spots in the nearby communities. It's obvious that the very caring owner has thought about all the little extras that make this a special place to unwind and enjoy. We can only imagine what a skiers' paradise this would be in winter, with its wood-burning stove, flat screen TVs and lots of blankets to keep warm. If stairs are a problem for you, this may not be a good fit. Otherwise, if you like a quiet place that's well maintained, you will not be disappointed in this West Stockbridge Dream home. We look forward to spending time there again. Michael and Naomi from ConnecticutRecommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for the wonderful review! It was such fun interacting with you and learning what things need to be addressed and taken care of,for example....clearer instructions for TV , and coffee pot. Also... that stairs may be aproblem for some. I look forward to seeing you next year! Say hello to Joshua for me.

Our first week-long stay in West Stockbridge was perfect due to this vacation property. The listing description was 100% accurate regarding the location, the layout and the amenities. The house was superbly maintained and equipped--lots of linens and towels and the kitchen was fully furnished (minus a tea kettle, which I understand is being supplied!). Our week was exceedingly hot and humid but the air conditioning kept us all comfortable. The owner provides the guests with an indispensable booklet which gives detailed instructions on the use of the tvs, fans and air. We would recommend this property as it is well situated, well appointed and comfortable. It was lovely having breakfast on the deck overlooking the river.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
