We are fully booked for the summer of 2013. Thanks for all of your interest!
This is an Architect's home, reminiscent of a New England farmhouse, with a mesmerizing view of Lake Winnipesaukee. The view is south to Gunstock Mountain. The waterfront has a low stone wall and a sandy bottom with crystal clear water. The dock is U shaped with a nice wooden deck area for sitting and plenty of room for water sports. There is a firepit near the waters edge for toasting marshmellows and watching the moon rise.
The over sized screened porch with adjacent stone terrace provide ample opportunity for lounging and leisurely family meals. The family room has french doors to the terrace with a cozy fireplace and game table. The country kitchen/ dining area is flooded with light from the skylights and features an over sized granite island and 6 burner Viking range.
The living room has a home theater with a flat screen TV. The library has a sleeper sofa for overflow guests and there is a full bath on the first floor as well.
The second floor has a master suite with a marble bath and sitting area and two other bedrooms with baths and queen beds. There is also an over sized bonus room with 3 twin beds and 2 trundle beds. This room is a child's delight- with bright colors and a cozy play area.
The bedroom views overlooking the lake are truly special. The home is decorated with designer touches including antique and new furniture.

i rented this house for my parents and our family. we grew up going to the lake every summer and it was the first time we had all been back as a family in more than 20 years. to say that this house was the perfect setting for our vacation would be an understatement! everything was perfection!! the house was gorgeous and no detail was forgotten. the property was insane and my parents actually never left the entire week they were there - why would you?? we went swimming, boating, water skiing, kayaking, tubing every day. we had amazing meals in the screened porch, the deck and at the bar in the kitchen - we love to cook and the kitchen was top notch. we ended most nights with a bonfire sitting out until late at night. i cannot think of a better place to have spent this important and special week and cannot recommend this property enough!! thank you cathy and don!Did you find this review helpful? We had two wonderfull weeks of vacation in your beautifull house at the lake. We rented a jet ski and a motorboat. Swimming, kajaking, waterskiing and renting a Harley Davidson was great. We visited Portsmouth, Rye Beach, Mt. Washington and Bretton Woods. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us. We had a lot of fun and an awesome time. Thanks so much !!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

An amazingly beautiful home in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our July 4th week. The kayaks were a wonderful plus and were used every day. The fully equipped kitchen was heaven for our three families who love to cook. Scary when your vacation kitchen is better equipped than the one you left at home! Plenty of space for all of us.... three adults, three kids and one infant. Even no problems accommodating a multitude of our local relatives came to visit for a day of feasting and music! The kids (ages 5, 11 and 13) all loved the "bunk room", while the baby slept in his port-a-crib with mom and dad in the secluded and lavish master suite. The cove location provided a welcome separation from the lake's boat traffic. The loons were plentiful! But I learned the hard way that you have to be quite careful maneuvering your power boat through the rocks in the cove before you get out to open waters. Ah well, even the boat repair costs were worth it... almost! Thanks so much Cathy & Don... We'll be back! Warmest regards, SamDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We found this beautiful home on the Internet while trying to decide if we could bring our children and grandchildren to Lake Winnipesaukee for a family vacation. The location was perfect--a nice quiet cove but near charming downtown Meredith. The home was equipped with many extras--kayaks and life jackets, a dinghy for fishing, a Viking gas stove, an on-porch propane grill, etc. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The property and location exceeded our expectations.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

"Our week was just great. My husband did have to work the first half of the week but he camped out at the desk in the master bedroom and still had that beautiful view, I don't mean to gush but we loved your house so much. We have rented houses up and down the east coast and in the Caribbean and we all voted yours the best, most suited to our family."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

About the owner: We fell in love with this area when we drove through the pretty town of Meredith a couple of years ago. We decided to look a little more deeply and rented a home in Cummings Cove on Lake Winnipesaukee with our family. After spending the week there we knew it was a special place. The combination of the fabulous views and protected swimming and kayaking areas was just what we were looking for. It is also convenient to town. We love the local hiking up steep granite faces of the surrounding mountains. These trails provide amazing views of Winnipesaukee and Squam Lakes. There is so much to do in the area - we just can't get enough.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have four kayaks available to explore the area. There is a preserved island (Stonedam Island) a short paddle away that offers hiking and nature trails.
