Villa Du Sol is a lovely gite located in the beautiful medieval village of St Cyprien, on the earth of the Dordogne.
The house is set on a hilly position, on top of the oldest area of the village, named "Le Quartier Montmartre", near by the 11th century church, and enjoys a panoramic view over the village and the surrounding countryside.
The house has three large bedrooms, making it ideal for families and couples traveling together.
Although the house is set 5 minutes walk from the local shops, restaurants, and great local market it benefits from fantastic outdoor areas with mature trees.
Recently renovated, the house is spacious, light and comfortable. It has lovely antique furniture, fully new comfortable beds, and benefits from air conditioned in all rooms.
LAYOUT:
Set all at ground floor, the house comprises :
- A Splendid Large living area with a huge fireplace, comfortable seats, a great dining area, and a TV/DVD/CD are there for you to enjoy and relax.
- From the living, stairs leads to a mezzane level where is a double bedded room. The mezzane level can be closed with large curtains for privacy.
- A newly fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, full size oven, hotplates, etc...The kitchen also has a breakfast table and chairs and access to the terrace.
- From the large corridor between the salon and the kitchen you access to the master bedroom with a 160 cm large bed and French windows leading to the terrace.
- Inter connected is a twin bedroom with its small shower room and toilets and access to the terrace area too. If required the two beds can bed joined together to accommodate a couple.
- Beautifully tiled the spacious bathroom has an Italian shower.
- The WC is a separate room.
- The house is completed with an utility room with a washing machine, iron, iron table...and a large storage area.
OUTSIDE :
- The private garden, all fenced, is about 800m² with grassy areas, flowers and beautiful mature trees.
- The front terrace, oriented south, is the ideal place for a sun bath whereas the terrace under the trees, equipped with table and chairs is perfect to enjoy dining al fresco.
- There are fabulous views to the ancient church and medieval village.
- There is a covered area to park 2 cars.
ABOUT SAINT-CYPRIEN
- Saint-Cyprien is a lovely medieval village - there is lot of activities to be done during summer time
- The colored market on the Sunday morning is splendid and offers an array of local produce. The local supermarket sell everything including cheeses, fish ... and good wine!!
- St Cyprien is set on the earth of the more touristic part of the Dordogne, named "Black Perigord". The famous villages of La Roque Gageac, Beynac, Domme, Belves, all voted "one of the prettiest villages of France", the castles of Castelnaud, Les Milandes, the medieval city of Sarlat, the caves of Lascaux 2, Fond de Gaume etc.... are all within a 30 km radius
ACTIVITIES
- A part from sites viewings there are plenty of things to be done in the vicinity! If you like walking, water sports, horse-riding or cycling, you'll find what you're looking for in the hills and valleys that are so much part of the Périgord region.
- Golfers also have a 18 holes course only 10 minutes drive away at Le Golf de L'olivarie.
- The more adventurous can enjoy Quad-Biking, Go-Karting, or taking to the rivers in a Canoe or Kayak.
- But there's nothing to stop you simply enjoying a quiet walk in the countryside!! The local area abounds in wildlife such as Rabbits, Deer, Owls, Hawks, and Woodpeckers. For walkers there are many footpaths starting from the house!

In winter time there would be a supplement for heating.
Bed linen and towels can be rented locally.
Guests are required to leave the cottage in clean conditions when leaving
otherwise a final day cleaning service can be ordered.
Breakage deposit of €350 to be paid on arrival / refunded on departure.
