My family has been coming to Bay Head for all our lives. We built this house in 1984 on the bay and it is a spectacular location for a family vacation. Its landscaping gives you privacy from the street. All you will hear is the bay, the seagulls, and passing boats. The original part of the house is like an attached cottage with its own kitchenette, 3 baths and 4 bedrooms. It has its own deck and separate entrance. The new part of the house is the vaulted ceiling living room, the second floor master bedroom with sitting room overlooking the bay, master bath with jacuzzi and walk in showers and closets and sun lights. Spectacular.
Why the Owner Chose Bay Head
Close to the beach. Train service to NYC. Bay Head is a charming town of old Victorian homes on the beach, many remodeled and renovated, but still with an old world charm that has escaped the scourge of the McMansion. The beaches are gorgeous, and the town maintains the beaches with cleaning crews every day all summer long. They are also guarded with trained lifeguards. Three blocks west of the ocean lies Barnegat Bay, providing boating and fishing opportunities in a calmer body of water. Deep sea fishing is available from party boats in nearby Pt Pleasant, Manasquan and Brielle. The Pt Pleasant boardwalk has an amusement park with rides and attractions for all ages. Seaside Heights is twenty minutes away by car with another boardwalk amusement center, plus water slides, etc.
