If you are looking for a secluded quiet mountain retreat this is your spot. The home, on Eagle Lake, sits on 11 acres of land and has been in the family since the late 1800's. The original camp was replaced with a modern camp/cabin in the 1960's and has been recently updated.
The views and sunsets are breathtaking! Spend a day at historic Fort Ticonderoga and learn about the important role it played during colonial times.
If you love to kayak, hike, swim or sail, Eagle Lake is the place to be. Quick access to the lakefront is by steps or a path.
A day trip to Burlington Vermont to visit the Shelburne Museum or lunch and shopping in Lake Placid are always a treat. Montreal is 2-4 hours way by car or train--Amtrak has a stop in Ticonderoga. The Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake is a must see as well.
A newly renovated kitchen, a large master bedroom and a great deck are just a few highlights. The downstairs also has 2 comfortable queen futons which are perfect for unexpected guests. Summer is lovely on the lake but don't miss out on the fall foliage--- see the beautiful autumn colors while cruising Lake Champlain on the Carillon, a 60 ft lakeboat.
Minimum stay is 1 week.

We had a great time in this lovely cottage this summer. The house is situated at the very end of the drive which made for quiet privacy during our stay. Lake views and breezes from the deck, main room, kitchen and master bedroom couldn't be beat. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. Well equipped kitchen, huge grill, clean bathrooms and full size washer/dryer were great. Ample window seating along the lake side of the house was enjoyed by all. The front lawn was a nice spot for frisbee and croquet. The lake was quiet with just a few motor boats during our late August stay. Canoe rides to the lake's islands became a daily requirement at the request of the kids. The owners left detailed info about the house and area and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. A great vacation experience.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
