The house is located in the gently rolling hills of Paso Robles Wine Country. The area is covered with many beautiful oak trees and acres and acres of vineyards. We were drawn to this area when our children were small, we camped at the local lakes and loved the small town atmosphere of downtown Paso Robles. We purchased Riverstar Ranch and Vineyards in 1992 and with the help of family planted 60 acres of wine grapes.
Riverstar was a horse ranch and had one 2 story barn and 2 wing barns. The second floor of the 2 story barn became our lovely vacation rental. From the wrap-around deck you can view the incredible sunsets. You can cook in the kitchen while looking at the vineyards or barbeque on the deck. Maybe you want to head into town to one of Paso's great restaurants.
When you come home to your "home away from home" enjoy relaxing on the cushy sectional and watch a movie or go out on the deck and see the millions of stars that light up the sky. When its time for bed enjoy the silky linens and comfortable beds. Wake in the morning and take a walk around the vineyard or on the quiet country roads and forget the world you left behind.
Take in the afternoon sun, read a good book or go "Wine Tasting" next door at Riverstar's boutique winery and tasting room. Talk to the winemaker as he lets you taste the new vintages from the barrels.
When you go into town you will think you have gone back in time, a time when you could walk to a movie and stop at your favorite restaurant for dinner. After dinner have an ice cream cone and enjoy it as you walk around the park with its wonderful old shade trees and fountains surrounded by flowers. Sit on a bench or walk around town, stop and check out the entertainment at the local nightclubs before coming back to the Ranch.
Make your reservations soon for a girls weekend, or round up your favorite couples. Come with your family or maybe just yourself. Stay a few days or a few weeks, there is lots to do and enjoy in and around Paso Robles.

Year Purchased: 2007
My husband and I "retired" to the Paso Robles area because we liked the small town atmosphere and friendly people. The place we bought happened to have 26 acres of grapes and our next phase of life was born. Some of our family moved here and we became part of the grape growing community in Paso Robles. ED loves the outdoors and farming. The wine business has become our "retirement", we enjoy it so much we decided to share it with others and hence the Vacation Rental was born.
