"My Back Porch" is located in a beautiful gated mountain community, and is easily accessible, just five minutes from Highway 515. It's three bedrooms all have private baths. With Two King bedrooms and one queen bedroom, it is perfect for three couples on a get a way weekend, or for a large family with children. The guys will enjoy the pool table on the terrace level, or maybe their favorite game on the 50" inch plasma TV in the main level great room. With 5 TV's and one DVR unit, everyone can find their time to relax with their private choice on "the tube". Or the kids may prefer a hike in the woods (we have 4 acres), roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, a board game on the deck or a swing on the sunset swing. The girls will even enjoy cooking in the gourmet kitchen, complete with eight place settings, pots, pans and kitchen gadgets galore! Your favorite CD or chick flick can keep you company while you slice and dice.
The main level has a wrap around deck with sunrise mountain views from large screened porch, and a driveway side deck with sunset views. Also on this level are the great room with wood burning fireplace and 50" plasma tv, dining room, kitchen and king bedroom. The bath on this level has double sinks, a shower tub and a fully equipped washer/dryer closet. The stairs lead to the second floor master with king bed, private screened porch with sunrise views and private bath.
The terrace level has a private bedroom with beautiful queen bed, a third bathroom, and a recreation room with pool table, television and games.
Also on this level are the Hot Springs hot tub, another picnic table, and adirondike chairs overlooking the firepit and mountain views.
Come to the mountains to enjoy the breathtaking views, to shop and dine and kayak. Enjoy the scenic train ride with the kids, hike the Appalachian Trail, boat on Lake Blue Ridge, or motorcycle Route 60. Spend your days on mountain adventures, but spend your nights at "My Back Porch"!

The Unique Benefits at this Mountain Cabin
We love bird watching from the front porch, feeding the deer, and grilling to the beautiful sunsets. Quiet times on the back porch with our favorite beverage, the mountain views and and a dog in our lap is almost as great as sharing our mountain cabin with friends and family.

Bob and Pam are retired baby boomers from West Virginia who wanted a bit of the mountain memories to be close at hand. We built our mountain cabin to "return to our roots" and loved it so much we built our retirement home in the nearby mountain town of Jasper. We are close by for any emergencies, or for personal tips and recommendations. We are empty nesters, and with our only grandchild on the west coast, we have had to satisfy ourselves with lovin' our 2 papillons, Higgins and Moby (a rescue). They are much better looking than we are, so we have posted their picture here!
We have furnished and decorated our cabin as if it were our full time home. We know you will love it as much as we do. Come see!
