The apartment was as described; very clean, quiet, well equipped & public transport is on the corner. The heart of Capital Hill can be reached by bus in a few minutes or walked in 10-15 min & the downtown transportation hub is just a few minutes more. There are several newer restaurants within walking distance (on Union/14 Ave) in addition to the Taco Truck parked at Union/21st. The exceptional Cafe Presse on 12th Ave is open late. The table & chairs outside the apartment were nice for relaxing/dining. The area is quite safe to walk at night. Overall, a great location from which to access & get a feel for the city without staying in the heavy touristic areas downtown. The hosts were friendly, responsive, honest & quickly accommodated our last minute extension. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in Seattle

We stayed here during what turned out to be one of the hottest weeks in Seattle, and the apartment stayed fairly nice and cool. The kitchen was great - we made breakfast here everyday during our stay and found everything we needed. The little treat basket with snacks and coffee was wonderful! The owners were also kind enough to set up a pack 'n play for our baby - since we had both our toddler and baby with us - and it worked out perfectly. We had brought DVDs with us for the kids but it turned out there was only a VHS player. And it would've been nice to have a few more blankets for the evening. Other than that, our stay here was wonderful. The apartment is exactly as advertised, and we would definitely recommend this place to others.
Owner response:We will replace our missing dvd player!

Clean & Cozy Studio in a Great Location

My boyfriend and I recently spent 3 nights at this studio and it turned out to be exactly what I'd hoped for. If you're visiting Seattle for more than a few days and want to get a neighborhood feel (as opposed to a tourist-ridden hotel downtown), this is a great place to consider. The location is fantastic.Having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and now living in NYC, the studio's surrounding neighborhood reminds me of the Mission-Castro area of SF mixed with NYC's East Village. There is also a bus line (the #2) that's half a block away and goes directly downtown to local attractions like Pike Place Market in about 15 minutes without traffic. There are also two grocery stores within walking distance and a 24 hour convenience store nearby. The Pike/Pine corridor nearby is filled with great restaurants and cafes. You really don't need a car if you're staying here. We did have a car though and it was really easy to find street parking. As for the studio itself, the photos in the listing are accurate and the property was clean. While the appliances and electronics (e.g., fridge, television, CD player) are a little dated, they still functioned perfectly well. We didn't really use the kitchen much except for a couple of wine glasses, but I did notice the cupboards were fully stocked with all the utensils, dishes, and cookware we might need to cook a meal. There is also a washer and dryer next to the unit, which came in handy. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends that are looking to visit the Seattle area for a few days or longer.

I stayed in this efficiency studio for almost a month while I was in Seattle for business. It was everything I needed and more! It was quiet, clean, roomy, close to grocery stores and to downtown. The owners promptly answered all my questions prior to my arrival in Seattle and were also available if I needed anything during my stay. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Seattle for an extended vacation or business stay.

Comfortable & reasonably priced vacation rental

My husband & I stayed in this comfortable & convenient rental for 10 days. It's location was perfect in a quiet neighborhood - very close to downtown Seattle and our family - and access to shopping Safeway, Trader Joes etc. Cindy & Jose were very prompt with replies and the return of the deposit. It was nice to stay in a neighborhood rather than a "sterile" lodging. Our hosts also supplied lots of information about Seattle and environs. The pictures of the studio are very accurate and the closet gave more than enough room to store clothing and other items. Also having the washer & dryer meant we didn't have to take as much clothing with us. Everything was clean and maintained and would definitely recommend to anyone. The toilet is elevated so not good for elderly. Would highly recommend Hi Spot Cafe 34th Ave off Union (Madrona area) - excellent breakfast & the best cinnamon buns (share it - they're big!). Overall a great experience in every way.

My friend and I stayed in this cute studio apartment for three nights, and it was the perfect place to stay while in Seattle. It's convenient and the perfect space for 2 people. The living room, full sized kitchen, and queen sized bed made it feel like home, and the owners left wonderful northwestern treats for us. There's a supermarket nearby, so we were able to stay in and cook meals. Overall, it was a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was in a great location for walking to downtown and different neighborhoods. The Trader Joe's was conveniently located a few blocks away, and the apartment provided everything we needed for our vacation. We would definitely stay there again if we come to Seattle once more!

My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our experience at this location. The studio is extremely clean and highly functional for its size. It is equipped with all the necessaries. Because the main purpose of our trip was the Rock'n'Roll Seattle Marathon, I wanted to follow my own breakfast routine during this trip. This was easily achieved as Trader Joe's is only one block away and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare breakfast. The owners and I stayed in touch constantly prior to our trip and even offered us great tips on public transportation. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and professionalism. Strongly recommended!

I stayed in this cute basement apartment for 6 days. It was very quiet, a little creaking from the upstairs but overall very quiet. The owners were very accommodating. I liked the location, very close to downtown and Trader Joe's just down the street. The bed was not comfy, I would have preferred a softer mattress. Maybe a mattress topper would help. The bathroom was fine, but the toilet is elevated and I am a little short so maybe a step or a stool would have been nice. I really like the washer and dryer being so close. The kitchen was easy to cook in and has enough cookware to make simple meals. I would recommend this VRBO to my friends and family. Thanks for a great time.

My wife and I had a pleasure to stay in this quite studio this summer for 4 days. It’s very clean, bright basement located in the very nice, quiet neighborhood. It has everything to feel like home: big closet, comfortable couch, bed (not as soft, as we used to, but OK), TV, internet, full kitchen, bathroom, laundry room right next to the unit. The owners, Jose and Cindy, are very nice couple, ready to work with you in every possible way. We had a great experience with them. Always prompt response, very clear direction, and fast security deposit money back.
