Southern Sons is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath home located in Gulf Trace, a small, safe, quiet community located south of scenic highway 30A. Gulf Trace is an isolated community located approximately one mile west of Grayton Beach and surrounded by Grayton Beach State Recreation Area .
The beaches of Grayton Beach and Grayton Beach State Park certified "Blue Wave" by the Clean Beach Council. The area offers shopping, golf, world-class fishing, bike and kayak rentals and bike, hiking and jogging paths, and an assortment of the finest restaurants in the state (see the May 2003 Southern Living magazine).
Southerns Sons has 2075 sq. ft. of living space and is located on a corner lot directly across from the sugar white sands, pristine beaches and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico; with a short boardwalk to the beach less than 50 yards away. The home is built on pilings that provides plenty of covered parking plus a cool afternoon play area underneath, a Ping-Pong table is provided.
The first floor consists of a spacious deck area (complete with adirondack chairs & rockers) for viewing the pelicans flying overhead, the beautiful gulf and sunsets, two bedrooms (both w/kings), two full baths, a large living area complete with gas fireplace, "surround sound" stereo, DVD, VCR, and a comfortable La-Z-Boy queen sofa/sleeper(equipped with an air bladder mattress), large dining area, and fully furnished kitchen.
The 2nd floor consists of two large bedrooms (one w/king & a single/single trundle and the 2nd w/queen & twin/full bunk), a full bath, and a loft/kids area complete with an additional single/single trundle, large TV, VCR and Playstation II (board games, puzzles and some PSII games provided, bring your favorite games and movies). Each bedroom is equipped with satellite TV, VCR and/or DVD.
Beach chairs and assorted floats, buckets and shovels are available for your use at the beach as a convenience to our guests. All you need to bring is your beach towell, lotion and favorite book.
After a day at the beach, you can relax with a bowl of ice cream or catch the ice cream truck, by the large (13' X 26') PRIVATE pool, surrounded by a 6' privacy fence, and ample sun deck area that offers shade and a large BBQ grill for an afternoon retreat. For fall and winter guests the pool is heated for your comfort.

* The Pool is heated during the Fall, Winter & Spring at no charge.
* A crib is available for guests at no additional charge.
* Reservations require a deposit to secure the property.
* A Refundable Security/Damage Deposit is required.
* Pool temperature can not be guaranteed when the ambient air temperatures are <50 degrees F.
* FAMILY RENTALS ONLY!!! A PARENT must accompany students or singles < 25 years old.
