Beautiful new townhouse in heart of Historic Landmark District. You can literally park your car and walk to everything in Historic Savannah!
Located just shy of Oglethorpe and right by Colonial Cemetary, this new (built 2006) townhome is 3 levels, with a private gated patio. Designer-decorated, all the creature comforts of home!
The first floor features a great roof. The kitchen is open with stainless appliances,a large breakfast bar, and handsome cabinets. The great room offers plenty of comfortable seating for your group including two arm chairs and a sofa. There are three sets of French doors that lead to the large private brick courtyard. Courtyard features an outdoor sofa and chairs as well as full table and coffee table so you can enjoy the beautiful weather Savannah has to offer. There is a half bath on the main floor. **New to Claire's is our West Elm day bed with trundle bed underneath - ideal for families travelling with children.
Our second floor features one bedroom and bath. Get cozy in our luxurious bedding! The full second floor bathroom features adorable wallpaper and Egyptian cotton towels. The bath/shower combo was new in 2006.
The Master Suite at Claire's is amazing. Oversized Queen 4-poster bed with high count sheets. The master bath has a separate shower and jetted tub with double vanities.
In addition to the Master Suite, the third floor is where you will find the washer and dryer as well as a mini-kitchen with sink, microwave, and mini friedge.
We hear from our guests that they enjoy parking their car and just WALKING through our charming city. There is so much to see and do. Please feel free to check out my suggestions on the map or email me if there is something particular you are interested in.

Why the Owner Chose Savannah
You can walk to everything and its so convenient to everything I like to do in the city. The downtown location is also convenient to places I like to go to like Tybee Island, my yoga center by Forsyth Park, and my favorite pizza is right next door at Mimi's!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Living in the Historic District is great but living in a NEW townhome in the district is BETTER for me and my family!
The Pink House's downstairs dark and cozy tavern! You MUST go here to get SOMETHING w friend green tomatoes in it (their salad and ap are both fantastic!!). Listen to live piano by the fireplace with your friends and have them mix you an extra dirty martini w blue cheese stuffed olives!!! So good!
Great atmosphere and they serve half pints! Full French menu downstairs.
Fabulous views over all of Downtown Savannah as well as the Savannah bridge. Okay food and drinks but the view is worth it. Get here early - gets crowded esp on weekends. Take the elevator down to River Street and go next door to Kevin Barry's for dinner of fish n' chips and live Irish music!
Best Irish music in town! But shhhh! No talking while Harry O'D is playing or you will get called OUT!
So peaceful and quiety. Great place to rest for a moment. A lot of folks come in to sketch and paint as well.
Shop like a local at these adorable boutiques! See Jane is a modern beauty bar where you can walk in for a brow waxing or shaping, pick up a gift, & have Shelly do your make up or give you a facial. The BEST!. Elizabeth at Satchel is totally talented - she designs all these amazing leather goods ranging from $25 to $500. Soon to be discovered - get your SATCHEL now!
Magnificent cathedral - a definite must do, especially at the holidays to see the holiday nativity. The Cathedral received a Preservation Award from the Georgia Trust for Preservation for their huge overhaul in the early 2000's.
Yum - great place for breakfast or lunch, esp to sit outside. If you go for supper, you can BYO.

This by far was my favorite visit to Savannah. We loved staying at this property and felt instantly right at home. I have stayed in many older homes in the city and this one has tons of charm but all the modern items you need on vacation. The courtyard was a huge plus and great to sit outside and enjoy the fountain. Every room has a comfortable and cottage feel and you will really be able to walk to just about anything. We are booked for a return visit in the spring!

We had the best time at Claire's retreat!!! We came to get away with a few friends and this place exceeded our expectations. Check In/Out was simple and easy. Just a 10 minunte walk to River street. We enjoyed the fabulous courtyard all weekend and there was a delicious pizza place right across the street. We ate there twice!! We would love to stay here again!

We recently rented Clair's Retreat for a weekend away in Savannah, and were thrilled with this rental. The property is practically brand new, very nicely furnished, and very well-kept. The location is also wonderful - it is conveniently located between the historic parks (such as Forsyth and all of the squares with the historic homes) and the River Street area with all of its charming little shops, so we were able to walk to everywhere we went. The rental process was also very easy and Laurie is wonderful to work with - she offered us quite a number of recommendations for dining and things to do around town during our stay and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We definitely plan to return and hope we have the opportunity to visit Claire's Retreat again! :)

We had a great time in this home. Met up with some old friends from college and Claire's was the perfect spot for our reunion! Bedrooms are on separate floors for privacy and the courtyard was where we spent the majority of our time - coffee in the morning and wine after dinner! The rental agent was great with her food recommendations and knew lots of good things to do while we were in town. We think we will come back for one of the festivals - maybe make it annual! Definitely recommend this spot - great value and perfect set up for our small group.
