The entrance level of the sprawling property, designed with Balinese architecture and an Indian touch, welcomes the visitor with statues of elegant Balinese ladies holding flowerpots atop their heads. The car passes along the coconut, mango, and other fruit trees to reach the garage where the staff receives the visitor against the backdrop of a magnificently-sculpted Javanese door.
The approach to the second lower level with a large courtyard is through white stone stairs and a colonnade with hand-crafted wooden columns and colorfully-designed ceramic tiles recalling the old-world charm. On the left, a magnificent fish pond with statues of Balinese goddesses pouring water continuously and on the right two traditional Balinese welcome statues.
Thereafter is the master suite, measuring 16-meters long and five-meters wide. It comprises the bedroom, lounge, and entertainment sections. Beautifully decorated niches on one side and a view to the courtyard on the other side. The lounge area, separated by curtains, has a three-meter by two-meter, single block, inlaid, green, marble floor with mirrors on the ceiling covering the air conditioners.
On either side of the lounge are the indoor/outdoor en suite bathroom and the wardrobe. The lounge also merges into the entertainment section with a giant TV screen providing satellite TV, DVD, LCD, VCR, and BOSE surround music for a home theatre. A library is on one side and the other side opens to a colorfully-tiled verandah with relaxing cane chairs for a view of the water fountain in the center of the courtyard.
Wooden stairs, under an imposing three-span arch lead to the first floor with wide-open windows, equally big as the master suite down below.
Coming down the stairs, the colonnade leads to the two guest bedrooms. Air conditioned with mosquito nets, the rooms are charmingly decorated with painting and lovely statues in the en suite, indoor/outdoor toilet and bathroom. A large wardrobe with safety box and a writing desk with chair complete the furniture arrangement.

We are retired couple who wished to make the best of the years left. Bali attracted us as a unique island with beautiful landscape, temperate climate, rich cultural heritage, cosmopolitan food with the whole world being present thru numerous hotels and restaurants, sports facilities of all kinds particularly the best golf courses in the world, and most of all the incomparable charm, simplicity and hospitality of the Balinese people.

The villa suits us perfectly because it was custom built by us. We wished to have a house with a blend of the orient and the occident. So the villa has been built with a Balinese architecture, western comforts and an Indian touch. My wife has decorated the villa with her own paintings on silk.
