Fantastic Mountain Lodge Living: Enjoy evenings taking in the alpenglow on the Tetons in Alta. Custom log home on 4 acres has 2 large bedroom suites each with a private bath, a large loft which has 5 twin beds (perfect for kids!) with an adjacent ¾ bathroom, one ½ bath on the main floor, a greenhouse, and large open areas for grand scale entertaining around the huge stone wood fireplace. This beautiful home in Alta, Wyoming has spectacular views of the Tetons from most of the house and especially from the large deck off the east side of the house. Enjoy the spectacular Teton views while soaking in the hot tub, enjoying a great cup of coffee in the morning, or a margarita in the evening on the deck after an amazing day of hiking or skiing.
The home has a 52” flat screen TV with blue-ray DVD player, high-end stereo, Playstation II, and Internet access. There is a large dining room table and vaulted ceilings in the living room. All of the furnishings and bedding in the home are new. There is a comfortable leather couch and two chairs in the living room, new bedroom furniture, a large dining room table, and a pool table. There is a bar in the kitchen with six stools. It is a very comfortable home for relaxing.
The home is located 8 miles from Grand Targhee Ski and Summer Resort and 10 miles from World Class Fly Fishing. Additionally, 8 kilometers of cross country and skate skiing are literally right out your front door. It is a short drive to Teton Canyon which offers amazing hiking trails and rock climbing in the summer and cross country skiing, skate skiing, or ice climbing in the winter. The Aspen Trail is minutes away as well. Yellowstone and Teton National Parks are easily visited from the house on day trips (2 hours to Yellowstone and 1 hour to Teton National Park).
The home is close to the Henry's Fork and South Fork of the Snake River and the Teton River which offer some of the best fly fishing available. A few fine golf courses are in close proximity. The town of Driggs is 5 minutes away and offers shopping and dining and a private airport. Jackson Hole is 45 minutes away and offers a host of activities. The Elk Preserve and the National Museum of Wildlife Art are worth a visit. Jackson Hole has many opportunities for fine and casual dining. The area provides many exciting and entertaining music festivals. Hunting and fishing trips can be arranged by the day or longer. Recommendations for fishing guides and ski guides are available upon request.
