Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2008
We often visited the Granby/Grand Lake area as kids with our families. Later, we enjoyed sharing the area with our own children. They learned to Ski at Silver Creek (now Sol Vista).
Why the Owner Chose SolVista
We wanted a quiet ski in ski out condo at a family area. We also desired a unit with summer recreation including lakes, golf courses, and trails nearby. We finally narrowed our selection to those units with a view and a gas fireplace.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We enjoy the view and the private hot tub. We like the ski in ski out access without the need to take a shuttle bus or drive anywhere. In the summer we enjoy golfing, Grand Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

My husband and I took a long-awaited vacation alone without our 4 kids. This condo had everything we wanted. It was quiet with nice views of the valley. We got great breezes of mountain air in the living room and hot tub room which was wonderful for summertime. The complex was easy to get in and out of and there was no traffic or crowds since it was technically the off-season. We were able to get to the national park in 20 minutes! One day we drove through Estes Park with all the tourists and traffic and were so glad we weren't staying there. After hiking 7 miles one day, the hot tub was the perfect answer to our sore legs. I think we used the hot tub twice every day, in the morning to loosen up our muscles before hitting the trail and in the evening to relax. We loved having a full kitchen (with every possible utensil) to cook some meals in and we enjoyed snuggling on the comfy couch under the cozy blankets and watching movies on the DVD player. A very nice supermarket (including a Redbox kiosk) is across the street from the Granby Ranch entrance and we stopped there almost every day. Another perk we noticed once we got there was that this condo is one of the easiest to access. Many other condos are up or down flights of stairs. This one is almost on level with the parking lot so we didn't have to lug our bags too far. This would be appreciated by families with young children especially. My husband liked having the internet access to check up on work and I used it to upload photos from our amazing visit! We really felt at home here and it made our vacation perfect!

"My new husband and I had a lovely, relaxing honeymoon in this condo. Even though it wasn't ski season, we still enjoyed visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, Winter Park, and other places. The hot tub was super clean and everything was lovely. We also appreciated all the dishes and kitchen tools kept in the cupboards; the were very handy. "

What a great place to stay and relax! This condo was quiet, clean, and comfortable with a nice view of the valley. My wife and I spent the weekend in this condo, and enjoyed the private hot tub to help unwind our sore muscles after a day of snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park. We had the fortune to see a pair of Moose eating breakfast near the park entrance. We look forward to coming back in the Summer for some roadbiking, and in the winter for some skiing!
