Our Mountain Home sits in a forest of bristle cone and ponderosa pines, and quaking aspen. We enjoy this location because it is easy to get to in bad weather, and we enjoy the feeling of seclusion, tucked into our grove of trees.
We simply go out to the front gate to start four wheeling, hiking, mountain biking etc.
If your group is large, we have a huge dormitory over the garage and breezeway for sleeping or playing.
Our kitchen is outfitted with top of the line appliances I use for food preparation when I cater events in Fairplay area.
On days we are permitted to have campfires you may enjoy using our fire pit with all the seating provided

Year Purchased: 2009
We are Pat and Linda Hendrix from Lakewood Colorado. Pat and his dog Scout have worked together for 5 years completing this work of love. We have spent many hours with our family of 7 children, and 13 grandchildren, playing in this wonderful setting. Fishing, hiking, skiing, gold panning, biking, 4x4 wheeling mountain passes, big game hunting, museum touring, hot spring soaking, White water rafting are all right here.

We built this from the ground up. We Love South Park, and Fairplay for its proximity to so much nature.

My friends and I were looking for a winter getaway and this was the perfect place! There was 9 of us and we had plenty of room sit together for dinner and games and also plenty of room if we wanted some private time and we each had our very own bed! The cabin is Beautiful and had everything you needed for the most amazing vacation!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. We had lots of room, great accommodations, and nice quiet relaxing area! We would definately return and recommend this property. The owners very helpful, friendly, answer questions, and great suggestions on things can do in the area. The house looks like pictures. The kids enjoyed playing outside and in the dorm type room.

We took a total of 12 people and had more than enough room for all. All of the rooms were great, the basement has more beds than we had people for (hunting lodge style). Pat Hendrix (owner) stopped by and was a pleasure to visit with. He also gave us access to his garage that allowed us to do some dirtbike repairs late at night. We had a great time riding ATV's and dirtbikes on the trails in the area. If you have a large group this is the place for you. There also was a great firepit out front with seating for all. The kids enjoyed making smores. Pat's kitchen is out of this world! If you are going to the Fairplay area then don't hesitate to rent this cabin.

WOW! What a cabin. The best in Fairplay. Our family spent The New Year's holiday at the home of Pat & Linda Hendrix. What nice people. Very hospitable and generous to allow us to stay in their lovely home. Mr. Hendrix is very sweet. There were warm cookies waiting for us upon arrival. The cabin was fully equipped with all that we needed for our stay. Great kitchen! Very well stocked. This is a beautiful custom log cabin. A lot of thought went into this property. Our girls truly enjoyed the bunk area in the second floor. The restrooms were so nice and modern. Location was convenient and close to the town of Breckenridge. Quaint town. Nice neighbors. Really enjoyed the heated garage. Great outdoor scenery. Nice quiet neighborhood. We highly recommend this cabin!
