It's pretty easy to compare things like number of bedrooms/bathrooms, general location, etc. But it's much harder to compare how you are going to "feel" about the place once you get there. For that, you listen to others who have stayed there. Well, listen: This place is terrific! The "wallpaper" on my phone--what I see every time I pick it up, is a photo I took early one morning from Raven's nest--the trees, in all directions, weighted down with snow, sun breaking through, and we are right there at eye level with them. Perfect! Thanks, Signe.

Thanks so much for having such a lovely cabin to stay in while our boys were at ski camp. We loved all the hiking right from the cabin, walking into town for huckleberry milk shakes and the view of Mt. Hood from the beautiful top bedroom. The cabin is so well equipped and tidy, and we had such a relaxing time. Your artwork, wood carvings and local photographs are wonderful!

We had a fantastic time for the third year in a row. Your home was so comfortable and sunny. The boys loved family ski camp while I hiked and read. Love sitting out on the deck.

I rented this cabin for my boyfriend's 63rd birthday and brought other family members along. We loved the many levels for privacy and admired all the artistic features. The kitchen is well equipped, which, as a person who likes to cook, I very much appreciated! It was clean, comfortable and had everything to make our special getaway perfect. We would all go back in a heartbeat.

That was the best family getaway we've had in a very long time. The cabin was absolutely better than we could have imagined. We're thinking of a summer stay with you as well. We will definately make this an annual trip for January because it was a winter wonderland. Thanks again.

What a wonderful place to spend our Christmas holiday together. We ate, played, and hiked ourselved to joy! We were unable to do all that we had planned, but we did all that we had hoped. Your place made us feel at home. Thank you so very much.

We changed vacation homes after discovering this gem. Even though it can easily sleep 10, my 2 teen daughters & I stayed for the better part of a week. This home is a dream-come-true. The views are amazing! Signe & Gary are wonderful hosts. My oldest daughter's disposition improved 100% with in an hour of moving in. She loves the downstairs and has claimed it as "her apartment." While moving in, we met Keith and his dog, Mr. Cooper, from next door. He further oriented us to the area. What a lovely change to the "snobbish American" I am so used to. You two and he make us wish we could pack up and move here (Can we stay here forever?). From the layout of the home, to the well stocked kitchen, to the bright, airy feel - you can not go wrong with the decision to stay here!

Come the end of January and we Portland people want to be sure to get our dose of the mountain. So seven of us had a great time at the Raven's Next this past weekend, cooking meals, sharing stories by the fireplace, and snow shoeing directly from the cabin to nearby trails. My favorite memory was watching snow falling through the trees from the panoply of windows at the Nest; truly magical. The owners couldn't have been more helpful!

Raven's Nest suited our needs perfectly for two small families with children ski race training 5 August days at Timberline (one family stayed upstairs, the other on the cool ground floor). Our stay was even more peaceful, relaxing and comfortable than I had hoped. I particularly liked having TV only in the bedrooms, not on the main floor. It was the cleanest and best outfitted rental I have encountered in many years. The BBQ on the small deck was the perfect complement to a cozy kitchen. The owners were gracious hosts, including showing up in the dark with extra flashlights when Govy lost power. We plan to be back in February for a weekend of races.

The Twardowski and Morris families stayed at the Raven's Nest Cabin for a fabulous 2 weeks. There was ample room for everyone and the 2-12 year old girls claimed the "nest" for their room so they could see Mt. Hood when they went to sleep and when they woke up. We were there for 2 weeks of ski race camp and it worked out perfectly! A broken foot sidelined one of the kids who was to go to camp but he had more than enough fishing and other activities to keep him busy. Signe is the most awesome hostess--she answered every need we had and provided excellent suggestions for hikes! We loved it and will be back next summer!!

Our Family came up to Government Camp in June for a weeks stay while vacationing and participating in a ski race camp at Mount Hood. While we were there we went fishing, mini golfing, wind surfing and even wine tasting all within an hours drive. The home is very comfortable, nicely furnished, and has an open feeling due to the large windows and high ceiling in the main family room. The tower at the top level was great for reading and viewing the area. Signe was very accommodating by providing all kinds of extras to make our stay special. We would definitely stay here again. (Note: Our son was fascinated with the dinner bell mounted by the front door.)

My family of four (wife, myself, 2 teens) spent 2 nights in this wonderful cabin. Our hostess, Signe, was extremely accomodating and helpful. The cabin is 2 blocks from town and one block from hiking trails. Everything you need for cooking and grilling is included, and the personal touches such as fresh flowers, a gift basket and a bottle of wine were outstanding. Our daughter particularly loved the tower, which has a view of Mt. Hood, and immediately laid claim to it as her bedroom. If the weather is cold you can start a fire in the fireplace. If it's rainy you can sit on the deck and enjoy the weather. I can't say enough to recommend this wonderful property. If we're ever back in Mt. Hood, Raven's Nest will be our first place to contact. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
