Could not be better!

The location is marvelous-- on a quiet street, near Eiffel tower, boulangerie just up the street for morning baguette and pasteries, steps from a great outdoor food market on Woodrow Wilson avenue and easy walking distance to excellent food shops on Rue des Belles Feuilles. The apartment itself could not be better. Perfectly sized for two people. Beautifully furnished, every convenience including washer/ dryer which was perfect for our extended stay of three weeks, plus a rolling shopping cart which we used a lot. We cooked in about half the time and found the kitchen well equipped with every implement you could need. The building is lovely and, since the apartment faces the courtyard, it is quiet and bright with large double windows in each room. It shows that the owner comes frequently and treats this as her second home. Definitely not a " rental" apartment. The pictures here are very accurate and the apartment is even better. We have come to Paris 20 times, always stay in the 16th but in hotels. Never again! We look forward to returning to this beautiful apartment.

Wonderful Paris Apartment

I loved staying in the apartment during the entire month of September, 2011. It was exactly as pictured and was very comfortable. The furnishings and style are exceptional. The Metro stop is just across the street, and there are several bus stops close (63,32,82,70.) The bus is even easier to use than the Metro. The Wed and Sat markets on Ave Woodrow Wilson, right near the apartment, are wonderful, with everything you could want to buy - even clothes, shoes, bags, etc., along with the wonderful food. I loved my beautiful Paris apartment!!

Wonderful 50th Anniversary Stay

I heartily agree with all the previous reviews. Apartment was even better than described. Spacious, ideal location, beautiful furnishings, convenient kitchen set up and all the amenities were 5*. Leanne was a gem and most helpful. We received a warm welcome - flowers, chocolate and champagne - and were able to really explore Paris during our 7 week stay. Buses and Metro took us everywhere we wanted to go and our Carte Navigo Decouverte made for easy hop on hop off just like a local. Photos were accurate and it was a pleasure working with Deborah as we set up our trip. I would certainly recommend this apartment in one of my favorite cities in the world. I also recommend the American Hospital in Paris for any medical needs.
Owner response:Bonjour Alex and Mima! Thank you for your review and I am so pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay in Paris For A While! I do hope that you will return to Paris again soon, you were wonderful guests! A bientôt! Deborah

Thank you Deborah for sharing your lovely apartment. It was perfect in every way. Everything was just as promised and your property manager, Leanne, could not have been more helpful in your absence. She was totally there for us. The special touches; Roy chocolates, wine, flowers and pantry starters (high quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee etc.) were much appreciated. Though I've always stayed in the 6th on my past visits to Paris, the 16th was a refreshing change. The bus service is so efficient it was very easy and pleasant to go everywhere without even using the Metro, and so nice to return to a calm area at the end of our busy days. It was completely quiet even with the windows open. The President Wilson market, just across the street twice a week, is as good as it gets. The kitchen was nicely equipped with quality cookware so we could really enjoyed cooking some of our own meals. And Roy Chocolatier just up the street is as good as any we have tasted in Paris. It is so evident that this is someones much loved home and not just another rental property.Working with you through the rental process was such a breeze and your professionalism and prompt return of our security deposit was much appreciated. I'll certainly be recommending your elegant 'Pied-à-Terre' to my friends and will hopefully be able to return. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful apartment with me! I truly felt like I was at home in Paris for a while. It is everything described, anticipated, and so much more. Decorated with exquisite taste, it's obvious that the owner put care and thought into the placement of each item. There's no question she is passionate about food, wine and cheese - I love the wine rack, cheese platter, knives - and the Nespresso machine - just to name a few things I used every day - in the spotless kitchen. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to feel at home in Paris, not only because the location is perfect, the neighborhood charming (everything you need close by), but the owner has been such a pleasure to work with and will do everything to assure a pleasant stay. There were fresh flowers awaiting me when I arrived! I can't wait to make reservations to return to "Paris for a While!" Un grand merci for sharing your apartment with me!
Owner response:What a wonderful review.....warms my heart! Come back anytime!!!! Bisous!!!

We loved the apartment and were very happy there for almost seven weeks. The apartment is larger than it appears in the pictures and was warm and cozy in Nov and Dec. All of the furniture is new. The bed is comfortable and there are enough dishes and pans to cook any meal. The washer and dryer are located within the apartment, so you truly can travel light. The apartment is even better located than the website lead us to believe. It is literally steps from the Iena Metro stop. This was our twelfth trip to Paris and we would never stay in a hotel again.

Dear Deborah, We have appreciated many things here: The lovely decor (you have a great sense of color, style and balance), the quality bed linens and towels, Le (Grand) Robert & Collins, the Nespresso machine, plenty of hangers, the WiFi, Separate WC and sink, the "coat hall" and it's ample hooks, the fresh flowers, the market caddie, the sharp knives.... We have had a wonderful month in Paris For A While and thenk you Deborah for creating this lovely space. We have left wonderful vibrations for future guests. Kay and Ted Stern

If you are looking for an exceptional pied-à-terre in Paris, look no further. 6 rue de Longchamp is a traveler’s dream. The owner has taken great care to create a delightful, warm, welcoming experience in Paris. This apartment will not let you down. It has every amenity you could hope for, but more importantly, it is just a gem. To stay in a gorgeously decorated apartment while in Paris, that is quiet and calm is a true treasure. The area has everything you could possibly need nearby, including great sweeping views of the city and la Tour Eiffel. An open-air market a couple days a week is just steps away from your front door. This apartment will provide you with the quintessential Parisian experience, while allowing you the comfort to relax and unwind while on your holiday. The owner is a true pleasure and you will find her endlessly helpful. As someone that has had a previous less than ideal VRBO experience in Paris, I can assure you, you will enjoy every second of Paris for a While. Bonne vacances!
