    We had a really great time!! Everything was as advertised and the owners were very helpful and quick to answer any questions! I would definitely stay here again!

    I chose this house for our second annual vacation which included four adults and two young children, there was more than enough space for everyone to stay in the house togther and not be cramped and also for everyone to have their own space. The house was very nice and included everything we needed for day to day living, minus the groceries of course, but as other reviews state there is a grocery within walking distance of the house so that was convienant when we needed something quick and didnt want to go back in town. The beach is viewable from the back porches and windows of the house and is only about fenced yards walking distance. Would definately stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quite place away from the busy hustle of the seawalll.

    We enjoyed our stay in this home, just a couple minute walk from the beach. The home had everything we needed for our stay and enough room for 6 adults and a young child. The home was clean and in good repair although it is definately not new. The furniture and bedding could use an upgrade as it has seen better days. We enjoyed the sounds and sight of the gulf and spent time in the warm gulf water. We were disappointed in the amount of sea weed on the beach but maybe it was the time of year or maybe it is just normal. This was our first time on the gulf so we don't know what is normal here. Was nice to have such a complete grocery store just steps away. They stock most anything you might need.

    Owner response: Thanks for visiting from Canada!. There are some times of the year that there are seaweeds, but this is not all the time. The beaches are raked on a regular basis. Hope you visit again!

    Thanks for letting us stay at your wonderful beach house. We met old friends from North Texas for vacation. We both have children and the place was great for our two young families. The beach was just a short walk away. The condo was clean and the descriptions on the listing are accurate. The beds were adequate. The kitchen was well appointed with the exception that the knives available sorely need sharpening. The dishwasher was out while we were there. We just used lots of paper plates etc. Be aware that its a good 15 minute ride into Galveston from this location. If you want to be in the middle of the action this is not the location. However if you want lots of beach to yourself and family then this is it. The owners were very responsive when the upper A/C quit working for a few hours. It unexplainebly started working again later. Still a repair man can and checked the A/C out anyways. We took in the aquarium at Moody Gardens which was really nice. If you like Italian food then Mario's at the seawall was really good and reasoably priced. We had a great time and will be back in the future if we get the chance. Benny

It broke before your arrival and it is already fixed. Also, not sure what happened with the A/C but has been checked and is working fine. Both A/C units are fairly new and under warranty.     This property was very nice. The beach really is as close as the pictures. We had all our childern and grandchildern here for the week and had a great time. It was clean, plenty of extras. The beach was a two minute walk from the condo.

    This was a nice place for a small family. The location is great and very convenient. The owner "listed" was not very responsive (took days for responses on various questions after booking) but the owners "not listed" were incredibly nice and responded fairly quickly. They were so kind to let us have an early checkin and tons of linen when we got there! However, not place to stay if you have a boat to park! Although the owners were accommodating, there really is no place to park a boat if you stay here. All the bedrooms are at entry level and kitchen/living room was upstairs. Lots of walking up and down the stairs! We had a 14 month old we had to be careful about! They had gates and other thoughtful amenities for small children, but definitely still had to be careful. I really noticed that after reading many past review and suggestions, the owners did read everything and made changes immediately after suggestions were made. The furniture could use some updating, no cable and no Internet for those who can't live without it. Make sure you bring family entertainment for the evenings!

    Owner response: Thanks Sarah for your review and we are glad that we were able to work it out regarding bringing your boat. Our place is not suitable for parking a boat and it is stated in our rental agreement. There are 2 owners to the property, but only one is listed. Either one will respond to inquiries/questions and be available at all times. It used to be that only one of us was answering inquiries. To help somewhat with family entertainment, we have added more board games. Also, the grocery store next to the property has a large selection of DVDs for rental; we have included this information in our page description. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

    We rented this huge home for a party of 2 for 3 nights. It was comfortable and accommodating. The furnishings showed some wear but were adaquate, clean, but could use some maintenace. Saw signs of water leakage and a loose toilet in one bathroom. The stair well could use some paint. The pictures are accurate. Not as many pots/pans/dishes/glassware as we have seen in other homes but we managed. Nothing outrageous or beyond normal that we might find in any of our houses. No wash cloths in any bathroom or the kitchen, bring your own. The beach was accessible but we had to walk around several houses due to fences placed by the neighbors. Understandable. The mosquitoes were swarming, probably due to the seaweed that accumulated on the beach. We wound up driving to a public access area about a mile away so we could carry our gear in one trip. The location was great, about 10 miles from the end of the seawall. Would be nice for a larger party to gather. Be ready to climb the staires. Priced very resonable for the size, location and time of year. Would recommend to family and friends.

    Owner response: Thank you very much for your input. It helps a lot to know the opinion of our guests in order to focus on what we need to improve. Currently, we are in the process of adding and updating some of the furniture and appliances, as well as adding more glassware. We have dishes for a party of 8-10, but will look into adding more. We will also look into any leak that we were not aware of. There is more than one access to the beach. You can walk to the right or to the left of our property. Once you get to the front of the houses directly in front of our property (second row houses), you will see a sign directing to the beach. It is a very short walk. Thanks for pointing it so we can advise our future guests. -------- UPDATE 6/7/2012: We installed a bunk bed in one of the bedrooms, added a new clothes dryer, and a patio table and additional chairs to the unit. We also added cups and wine glasses, as well as dishes for a party of 12. We have added wash cloths in the bathrooms, in addition to the bath and hand towels that were already provided and fixed the loose toilet.

    We loved the house and location. We took grandparents, parents and teen kids. Loved the seperate balconies. 20 second walk to te beach and we left chairs, towels, umbrella etc. on the beach all night. Very safe family area. Having the full grocery next door was a real treat. No need to go the 15 minute drive to town. Far enough to avoid nightlife and day visitors yet close enough to visit sights if you wanted. Kitchen was very large and well stocked Living room was the largest we have seen including ski condos we have rented in Colorado.

    Thanks for sharing your place with us. We had a wonderful time. The location was wonderful. It was nice not having such a busy beach. Getting the beach was a very short walk. The house was awesome. Everything you needed was there or at the store next door. We would love to come back at a later date for another visit!

    We had a great time! My family and my brother's family stayed and there was plenty of room. Loved that we had 3 bathrooms! We enjoyed the beach steps away. Had rain one evening, but it didn't spoil our time. We played washers on the patio under the house. :) Clean place, has everything you need provided! Thanks for a great "end of the school year" celebration!!! We can't wait to return.

    We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean. There is a little store right near the house for anything you may have forgotten. The beach is just steps away and the house has everything you need. Ryan was a pleasure to work with. It was almost like being on your own privet beach. If you want to relax without all the traffic and tourist, I highly recommend it. If you decide you more action then Galveston is only 10 short miles.

We also really liked the store that was right next to it, so that we didn't have to drive somewhere to get something for dinner or something we forgot. The restaurant right there, Nate's, was good and handy too. All in all a great place to stay!

    We had a great time with family reunion tradition. Had vacationed in Crystal Beach /Bolivar for the previous 15 years, but it is no more after IKE. Glad to see there is still beach houses here in Galveston, to carry on the tradition. Thanks!
