We rented this home for a wedding weekend and it was absolutely ideal. Loads of room, nice big kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers and plenty of dishes. We had about 30 people for a shower/reunion and this place was perfect. It even has another living room on the second floor! The location would be great in the summer for fishing, a visit to Cedar Point or walks on the beach. With Lake Erie in the front and Sandusky Bay in the back, it really is unique. The owner and caretaker could not have been nicer. Would rent this property again in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is the fourth property I have rented from this owner and I have yet to be disappointed. What a great girls' weekend!!!!! Even though the weather was awful, our group enjoyed each other's company. The home (which was immaculate) was spacious and roomy but still felt very cozy. It always feels like our weekends fly by when we are on Doug's properties. I would recommend all of them to anyone who is looking for a home away from home, whether it is for a weekend, a week, or a whole month! Gorgeous!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was perfect for my whole family! The location is great and close to everything. The layout is so spacious and wonderful for entertaining. It’s a beautiful home and the views are spectacular. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the owner, Doug, couldn’t be nicer. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It was the perfect house for us! We will definitely stay here again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was a first family get together for us. There was plenty of room to "live" and "play". The house was clean when we arrived. The dishes were in the cupboard dirty, but that was easily fixed. We made sure it wasn't that way when we left! Since this was our first experience at this, we weren't sure what to expect but overall it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay again. A point of attention may beto be aware there may or may not be paper products and staples such as salt, pepper, oil, sugar. We had a good vacation and believe you would too!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great time at Doug's beautiful home on Lake Erie. The kids loved being so close to Cedar Point and we had a relaxing time sitting both by the bay (backyard) and the beach (front, across small street). The house was spotless and Doug couldn't have been more hospitable. Many thanks.Recommended for: Families with teenagers

My family of four plus my sister- and brother-in-law, and my sister stayed here for five nights and we had a great time! There is so much to do in the immediate area (within 30 minutes drive) that we actually would have loved another day or two. The floorplan is nice; plenty of privacy for everyone. If you want to watch TV I recommend downloading a channel list somewhere, as surfing and remembering was a minor inconvenience. There were a lot of NON-BITING bugs around the house (as another rater mentioned, and we expected with the location). But we lit two citronella candles and they were not a major nuisance. We had a nice time fishing off the back pier, catching around 40 fish in three days. Overall, this was a great vacation and we hope to do it again soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I rented this house for my 50th Birthday celebration!!! From the moment I arrived, I was so happy I had reserved the house!!! Beautiful, amazing views of the Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie!! The rooms were so spacious and comfortable!!! The kitchen, the wet bar... perfect for entertaining all week!!! I would recommend this location in a heatbeat!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Doug was awesome to work with! The place was great, we had two families and lots of kids. The layout was perfect. Where do I start?? Our boat was beached after a heavy storm rolled through the Sandusky area and I would have had to pay $3,500 just to get it towed off the beach. Doug graciously brought a few guys and spent the better part of 2 hours helping us push, pull, dig, rock... and finally got our boat out. I cannot thank him enough. He is easily one of the nicest guys I've met!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The house was perfect for our entire family. Plenty of room for 3 couples and 1 teenager. Our family really enjoyed kayaking on the private beach area. The house was a perfect location if you are planning a trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park - only 5 minutes away! The only problem were the muffleheads (flying insects which apparently swarm this area in summer). It was hard to enjoy the outside area due to these insects.. otherwise it was a great vacation rental!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

The house was perfect for our group of 7 friends. Very clean, spacious and open with beautiful views and a private little section of beach. Had wonderful amenities -- everything we needed for a "home away from home" weekend. The owner, Doug, was very helpful and has taken great care of the property and house - very accurate descripton on the site. The house was beautiful and so was the view. It had more than plenty of space to accommodate our family and guests. Doug is wonderful to rent from as we our returning renters. I would recommend this to anyone. We all enjoyed our stay from my 10 month old son to my 67 year old mother.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've been staying with Doug at this house for the past 3 years+ and have always had a great time! Great location with beach and bay access, perfect if you have a boat or waverunner but also a lot of fun if not! Nice size yard for the kids to run around, play catch, and have a fire camp. With the recent updates and renovations in 2011, this is a perfect get-a-way spot! Doug a group are fun and easy to work with. Definitely recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had our whole family of 3 young children, two older ones and five adults. It was perfect for everyone to have their own space. We could relax with fishing, swimming, and spending a day at Cedar Point without going far. We would definitely like to have another vacation like this.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This house was perfect for our situation. The location is perfect, with the bay view in the back and private beach in front. We were able to divide and conquer, satisfying napping kids and adventure-seekers at the same time. Proximity top Cedar point was also great in this regard. Also appreciated the dedication of these homeowners when the dishwasher failed us. We had a new dishwasher installed and running within hours! Would definitely stay here again!!Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car.

The location of the house was fantastic and our families got a great deal of use out of the beautiful private beach! Our large family stayed in this home 4th of July week. The home is in a fantastic location and very close to Cedar Pt.
