You are entering a Mediterranean paradise in the oldest village of the Island of Ischia called Forio!
The house-apartment is conveniently located in the heart of Forio, a mere 5 minute walk from the town center. Everything is within 5 minutes walking distance: shopping, public transportation, restaurants, tennis court, night clubs and of course thermal water parks! The house-apartment duplex is an old villa that was built in the 13th century.
It has been split into our duplex unit, and our neighbor's duplex unit on top. Both have their own separate entrances and don't even seem connected.
Apart from 3-foot walls and vaulted ceilings, wood-burning fireplace, the house has been immaculately restored with the latest and most chic modern amenities ranging from top-notch bathrooms to stained glass in the windows.
You will not see such fine attention to detail anywhere else. One of the real treasures of this house is that the living room opens up into a large deck/patio which goes into the beautiful lavish garden. The garden is extremely pleasant and feels like a fair-tale garden with huge Hibiscus plants, tangerine trees and flowers.
There is another patio in the garden between a palm tree and a pine tree where one can lie in hammock and gaze out at Mount Epomeo to the right, or the entire village of Foria and the sea to the left.
The house is cleverly hidden from view and is actually giving one the sense of being in the heart of a charming Mediterranean town and yet being magically isolated at the same time.
Overall the house is luxurious, spacious, comfortable, and ideal for everything - a romantic getaway or for a very special vacation of a large group of people.
