Puerto Morelos house description

You can't get closer to the beach than this 2100 sq. ft. house. The private patio will leave you speechless! Come, relax on our over-sized patio chairs, eat breakfast at the table under the palapa and cook your dinner on our brand new 3 burner Weber gas grill. This 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath ranch is the vacation home that you've dreamed about. Guests have commented that the biggest decision of the day is which lounge chair to sleep on! Perfect for families as Dad and Mom can relax on the patio while watching the children play on the beach or even better - run out and join them! The gourmet kitchen has granite counters and full size appliances including a dishwasher. Spacious dining area with seating for 10. Each large bedroom has a king size bed, its own private bathroom and a/c. In addition to the king size bed, one of the bedrooms also has a twin size bunk bed with trundle. Master bedroom has a separate couch with chaise. House also has a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. It is newly furnished and kid friendly. Our home is very secure and within the bounds of a small gated condo complex Casita Blanca (18 condos + 2 houses total). The house was once a beachfront restaurant for the condos but was recently gutted and completely rebuilt. We have full time security and concierge on site. Courteous on-site staff provides bi-weekly cleaning. Casita Blanca management speaks English and is extremely helpful. A personal cook is available for an additional fee. We also have a friend that offers airport transportation for about $60.

For entertainment we have a supply of snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, sand toys, books and a couple of sea kayaks. The Reef National Park is the second largest reef in the world and is located 1/2 mile off of the shore. Snorkeling tours are available in town. Snorkeling right off of the beach is excellent as well. Kite boarding is a popular past time here due to the protected calm waters that the reef provides. When in need, Pina Coladas and other cold drinks are only a short walk away (about 100 ft.) at Unico Beach Bar. Other activities nearby - horseback riding, ATVing, fishing trips, zip lines, cenotes and many archaeological ruins to explore.

Puerto Morelos is a quiet fishing village that is 30 minutes south of Cancun. It has a small grocery store, lovely Canadian book store, many delightful restaurants and an ATM. This property is located approximately 2/3 mile north of the square in Puerto Morelos. Kid friendly town square with swings, slides, basketball court and evening soccer games.

Spent a beautiful, relaxing, fun family vacation at Casa Wagner for two weeks in the middle of July. The temps were still mid to upper 80's and low 90's and the humidity was pretty intense but the cool ocean breezes made us all quite comfortable.(As did the great air conditioners in each room!) Casa Wagner on my second visit was just as lovely and homey as it was the first time. Coming with the family instead of my girlfriends was a different vacation to be sure. I was a little afraid that the kids (boys, ages 11, 14 and 19) might be bored with the lack of motor sports and dancing girls. HA! They were NEVER bored. EVER! They spent days exploring the town and coming back with treasures great and small. They spent time kayaking and snorkeling and swimming and walking and walking miles on the beach! As usual, hours upon hours were spent lounging on the beach and especially on the front patio enjoying the most magnificent ocean view.We also spent a fair (WHOLE LOT) of time at the little beach bar just down the way. The new menu is really perfect. Fresh ceviche, guacamole and drink specials every day. Swinging on the new swings at the bar sipping a cold beverage with my honey was one of my favorite things this trip. After a trip to Costco on the way in, we had Nina make us about 5 or six meals that lasted the 2 weeks we were there. We also ate in town quite a bit and HIGHLY recommend Al Chimichurri for a delicious steak dinner and I Wanna Pizza for the very best pizza I have ever eaten! The mosquitoes are thick this time of year so be sure to pack your bug spray.(Al Chimichurri has bug spray on each table and incense burning under the tables as well.) Casa Wagner feels like home to us. We never wanted for anything. Even the techie guys were able to get online and surf and communicate with the "other" world as they needed to! I treated myself to a day at The Little Mexican Cooking school and thoroughly enjoyed it! We made some lovely dishes and learned how to make the very best guacamole! I taught my 14 year old and from then on, he made our appetizers every night! We took a trip to Tulum with Eduardo and were so pleased with his knowledge! We also went to The Cenotes de 7 bocas. DO NOT MISS THIS. SO Fantastic! We went to another cenote after Tulum and while it was lovely, this was 100x better! Quite rustic and SO beautiful! We also took two snorkeling boats out to the reef. My 11 year old was lucky enough to see a turtle! 5 stars all the way!

What can I say? This place was clean and well maintained. The linens, towels, sheets, mattresses etc. were much higher quality than other vacation rentals I've stayed in. That makes a difference. The beach was great and we spent a lot of time lounging under the palapas. Also wonderful because Puerto Morelos does not have a lot of natural shade (there aren't palm trees or anything, so a palapa is necissary so you don't burn). The kitchen was better stocked than my home kitchen. Great balcony. I can't say enough good things about this place. Stay here!!

I can't say enough about our stay at Casa Wagner. My family & I (a total of nine: 5 adults and 4 kids - 7, 8, 9 & 15) spent a week at this wonderful home right on the beach in Puerto Morelos. The house is set up so that you can immediately feel at home...the kitchen is fully equipped with quality pots & pans, silverware & cutlery, glasses, fun dinnerware and all the basic spices to get you started. You don't have to worry about getting "Montezuma's Revenge" as there is bottled water...plus the fridge uses bottled water so even your ice cubes are safe! The beds are super comfortable, the linens and towels were hotel quality, the bathrooms very nicely finished. It felt like home from the start. The beach is fabulous, white sand, turquoise blue water, no jelly fish or sea urchins to watch out for....perfect for the kids. We could snorkel right off the beach and took the sea kayak out several times to the reef. Activities? You won't be bored! We flew kites, explored on rented bikes, took a tour on the glass bottom boat, built sand sculptures (our crocodile was the talk of the beach for several days!), snorkeled, walked to town numerous times, bought fish at the market, enjoyed the restaurants, and of course, shopped. The pool is a nice alternative to being in the ocean and the kids loved it. Choosing the "fish of the day" was an adventure, a very delicious one. We played games in the evening or sat and enjoyed watching the kite surfers and families having fun. The pastry man was a big hit with the kids, as was the daily visit from the local kitty. Roberto was extremely helpful as was Eduardo who picked us up at the airport and took us to Costco for shopping. He was a miracle worker, fitting all 9 of us, plus luggage, plus a week's worth of groceries into his SUV! Thank you, Wagners, for sharing your very special home with us. We were sad when we had to say goodbye but it made very special memories for our family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just got back from a week of heaven at Casa Wagner. Originally billed as a trip to celebrate some milestone birthdays, what we ended up with was a relaxation that can NONE of us has experienced in our lifetimes, or at least since the birth of our children. Casa Wagner is so beautiful and comfortable and bright and cheery! But, between the amazing patio and lush patio chairs and the beach that is just feet away, our group spent almost NO time inside at all. We slept and prepared meals and drinks there, the only exception was one day it rained too hard to spend our time outside. Even then we moved the patio chairs up under the roof and tried! The town of PM is equally amazing. Quaint, clean, safe, interesting and incredibly welcoming to tourists. The food we found in the MANY restaurants was also wonderful. Fresh and local! Because we are all moms and we were trying to "get away" from it all, we did hire Nina to cook for us. Eduardo picked us up from the airport in Cancun and took us to Costco on the way to the house. We bought enough meat for Nina to make us 4 meals. Her Mole (my b'day request) nearly made me cry it was so delicious. Nina used local spices and her own creativity to feed us delicious, healthy meals. The cost was $200 for 4 meals, including the tamales she had there for us, piping hot the night we arrived. This works out to about $6/person/meal. We had SO many leftovers that we ate them for breakfast and lunch every day and still had to leave some. <3 LOVE NINA! Roberto met us at the house the night we arrived as well and gave us a run down of how to find things and where etc. He was very accommodating and kind. Snorkeling right off the beach was lovely but we were also picked up by a local boat right in front of the house and taken out to the reef to snorkel. Like NOTHING any of us has ever experienced. The guides were patient and very informative as well. I just cannot recommend this location enough. Going back with my family (we hope) in July! Wishing I could just be there NOW! Snorkel at the reef ***** Jungle Spa *** Loved the massage but not exactly what we expected. Massages by Tania ***** Tania came to the house and gave the best massages! Recommend the water massage. WILL do that when I go back! Walked to town EVERY DAY ***** Loved it there. Beach Bar ***** Wonderful ambiance and close. STRONG POURS! HAHA!

Our family spent Christmas break in this wonderful home. We have been spending Christmas break in a beachfront location for the past 25 years and I must say that this was probably the best equipped home we have rented. All the pots, pans, plates, coffee maker, microwave, etc. in great shape, plenty of glasses and silverware. On site manager was very attentive and helpful. The house was immaculate and totally updated and EVERYTHING WORKED, always a plus in Mexico. Snorkel gear was excellent, kayaks were a little long in the tooth but totally functional for the 1/2 mile paddle out to the reef. Snorkeling right out front on the beach as water was quite clear, many more fish out on the reef however. Very gentle sandy beach great for kids. Beach was groomed every morning, eel grass removed leaving a very clean fluffy sand. Beach to the north was long, wide, and generally soft. You can walk for over an hour north and about 15 minutes south into the town of Puerto Morales. Renting a car from Cancun isn't necessary but it was useful as Puerto Morelos has only one small supermarket and a mini mart. No outstanding restaurants in Puerto Morelos but all ok. There were a couple of really good lunch places though. All in all I highly recommend this home and Puerto Morelos for a kick back holiday.

We stayed for 1 week in November 2010 at Casa Wagner. It was absolute paradise for our family of 7. It really truly is right on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches we have all ever seen. The water is so blue and calm. We even let the younger ones (9 and 10) play in the water and the sand while we watched from the comfy lounge chairs on the patio without any hesitations. Plenty of water toys to choose from for all. Good snorkeling, a kayak. The kitchen had everything we could think of and there were plenty of fluffy towels for all. The floor plan allows for plenty of privacy for each room even with a group which was nice, we had ages 9- 73 and in addition the home is wheelchair accessible, and a ramp takes you 15 feet right down to the beach. I cannot thank the Wagners enough for sharing their home with our family, it meant so much to us. We did not want for anything, Roberto and Selena (the hosts) checked in with us on occasion to make sure we had everything. Plus dealing with the Wagners was a breeze, very nice, friendly and straight forward. The only problem now will be when we go down as a couple, we'll want to rent the entire Casa for just the two of us! :) Beautiful, you cannot imagine until you arrive and are in awe of the location. Again, thanks to the Wagner family for sharing their home, we will be back every chance we get! Never as often as I want to though.

My family and I recently traveled to Casa Wagner and were unbelievably speechless. First, the house is really ON the beach. You walk down a ramp to the most luscious white sand and blue water. Grab a floating device from the basket of goodies in the house, and lay around in the beautiful Caribbean for hours. There is a pool for the little fish, like we had, to swim around. The town was amazing, adorable and so welcoming. We ate many times at Dona Triny's. Excellent A++++++ authentic food. The house itself was immaculate. The most perfect house you could have imagined for a family of 6 trying to relax. The part of the beach the house is located on is quiet and clean. Cleaners come daily to clean the seaweed that has washed up and "fluff" the sand (as we called it). This was truly the most amazing house for relaxation and fun. Our family laid on the deck and read books in their amazing lounge chairs for hours. A short walk into town on the beach for necessities and back to the house for the insatiable view. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for fun, family time, alone time, relaxation and the best vacation I have ever had. The sap I am, cried when we left. Thank you Wagner's!

We had a great family gathering! The cousins, ages 5 to 12, loved playing in the pool, sand, ocean, and park. The house had excellent air conditioning, beautiful features, lots of seating and firm comfortable beds. The staff were courteous and helpful. No one ended up with a stomach bug from any of the food we tried in town or the water used to wash dishes in the house. We loved the small town community that welcomed the boys into playing soccer, the visitors that were eager to visit, and bargaining a bit with the salespeople. We would definitely go again and take friends and family as the house was so comfortable and the location perfect.
