Why the Owner Chose Duck Creek Village

Duck Creek is the most beautiful, relaxing place I know of and it is a short drive (3 - 3.5 Hours) from Vegas.

The Unique Benefits of this Cabin

Thomas and I are able to rejuvenate after a long week. Lots of time and solitude for reflecting on things our daily life doesn't allow for. That is priceless.

Just Perfect!

The cabin was everything we had hoped for; centrally located between Zion and Bryce, Convenience Stores Close by, and a cabin with no "issues". The owners were extremely pleasant to work with and the process was quite easy. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Nestled amongst the aromatic treescape, this cabin served as a pleasant setting for lodging during a recent family reunion. Views included deer walking along the nearby roads, beautiful tree-lined views, and plenty of mountain scenery. Our family enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful cabin and area! We had a wonderful time!

The cabin is perfectly located in Duck Creek Village for day trip driving distance from all the parks and other wonders of the southern Utah area. With less than an hour drive to both Bryce and Zion, just a few miles from Cedar Breaks and right in the Dixie National Forest, the location is hard to beat for the area. The cabin had all the amenities we needed as a family of 5 and is very charming. From the moment of first contact, through our stay, the owners were very responsive and helpful to assist us with having a great vacation. Thanks!

Amazing Vacation!!!

Guest: Teri (Utah)
Date of Stay: 08/12/10 Review Submitted: 08/19/10

My family loved every minute of our trip to Thomas and Kelly's cabin. The cabin is charming and well stocked with anything you need. There is so much to do around there, that you can stay busy the whole time, or just sit around on the fabulous deck and enjoy the beautiful view. We were visited by chipmunks to no end, deer, ground hogs, enteractive birds of all sizes, and even a squirel who came right up onto the deck to eat breakfast with us. Not to mention the redrock beauty, ice caves, lava caves, ponds, lakes, and trails. It was so nice to get away from the stresses of life, and find ourselves again. Thank you Thomas and Kelly, for keeping such an enchanting place available. We will most certainly be back again!!

Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed it! I am also happy you had some deer visiting. We had not seen any the last couple visits we made and were worried they had found another trail. It is amazing to just watch them, I could do it for hours on end.

Cozy, quiet, and very relaxing

Guest: Mike and Ruth (CA)
Date of Stay: 08/06/10 Review Submitted: 08/14/10

Loved the cabin! All the amenities were provided. CLEAN, spacious, and nice bathroom...this is a definite plus for me. The queen size bed in the master's bedroom definitely kept us comfortable and warm after a day's fun of riding our ATVs all over the place. The kitchen was spacious and had enough counter space to prepare dinner. The porch and bbq/smoker made a great setting for a lovely dinner under the stars. Our four-legged kids loved roaming around the backyard and saying hi to the squirrel and chipmunks...they didn't see the deer stroll by...which is a good thing. The cabin wasn't hard to find, even when we came in under the cloak of darkness at 3am local time. Parking on the driveway could get tricky if you have a big long bed truck pulling a long trailer with ATVs. Overall, I would totally recommend staying at Kelly's and Thomas' cabin. You get so much for the price! (Thanks Kelly!) By the way, don't miss BIFF's Bunkhouse BBQ in town. Great smoked BBQ. You have to be there @ noon because he runs out of food quick. YUM!

We stayed in the cabin for 3 nights. Our only regret was not staying longer. We didn't have nearly enough time to explore all the places close to Duck Creek. The cabin itself was lovely. We were very comfortable while staying there. The bed was comfortable and we were not bothered by excessive noise. If you would like some noise there are a few movies and some Cd's. I will say if you are not a fan of Christian Music you may want to bring some music of your own. As the weather was beautiful we grilled out every night on the large grill. This worked great. There was plenty of supplies to utilize (plates, cups, etc..). We did not explore the village area (not enough time) but we did manage to go down one night for ice cream at the ice cream shop. I highly recommend this. We did drive up into the housing part of the village and pretty much got lost. We were not expecting such a huge amount of houses. A lot were for sale also in case the area is somewhere you might want a vacation house. Give yourself plenty of time if you are going to the National Parks. Zion takes a good 60-75 minutes to get too. A lot of construction takes up some of your time getting to where you actually park. Bryce is at least an hour. Keep in mind we did drive the speed limit. Overall this place was a great home base. We would love to stay here again sometime.

"Great Experience" We had a great time in your cottage. Between sitting with the family in front of the fire, watching the wildlife walk within 30 feet of the cabin, and having a nice afternoon barbecue on the deck it was a perfect getaway. My daughter got to ride her aTV, catch some fish, and see snow which she hasn't seen in a year. All in all we had a great time, thank you!

Thank you for letting us rent your cabin. The weather was great and everything was comfortable in the cabin. We were nervous to use the china dinnerware much, but our paper plates were easy clean up. They caught so many fish we left ice cream for the next person? ( They used green sparkle power bait, and caught their limit at Mirrot in a hour, but the fish at Panguitch lake were bigger). We bought the best pie at the resturant in the villiage,Mixed berry rubarb was my favorite.
