  Our stay at Robins house was wonderful. Robin is a great person to work with. Everything was exactly like she said it would be. The house was in tiptop shape and has tons of room. It has very easy access to the Staten Island Ferry and the public transit system. If you are looking for a house with plenty of room definitely stay here. We had a group of twelve people and we had lots of extra room. It is easy access to Manhattan without the price of Manhattan.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We stayed in this spacious apartment for three weeks while closing on a property in the city. It is a convenient walk to the Manhattan ferry at the St. George terminal - great views (and cardio workout!) walking up the terraces of this historic neighborhood. We enjoyed seeing spring arrive with cherry trees, tulips and dogwood bursting in bloom all around. We used the light-filled dining room as our office during the day. We enjoyed exploring some of the best-rated restaurants nearby, including Beso, Enoteca Maria, Blue and Joe & Pat's pizza. There is also a great little luncheonette behind the beautiful Borough Hall. We also dined in many nights, cooking up some great dinners in the well appointed kitchen. Small groceries and wine shop are an easy walk away. There's also an easy to use washer/dryer off the kitchen that was a huge plus for us. We met many friendly and interesting neighbors during our walks. Hosts Robin and Stanley were very accommodating, taking care of a number of details that helped make our long stay a very pleasant experience.

  We found the house as described, very clean and fully equipped, we even cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. We were able to walk to the Staten Island Ferry though the return trip from the ferry was for the hearty, local bus is available. Dining room table took all 11 of us for meals. Robin the owner checked with us for any additional needs for our stay and refunded our entire deposit.

  Our group really enjoyed this house. It has all the furnishings one could expect and many more. Although I never met Robin personally, she has been a pleasure to work with. This location offers quick access to Manhattan via the Staten Island ferry. The price is also very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.

  Nous avons loué le plus grand appartement de la maison. C'était très grand et propre. Nous étions 7 adultes et 3 enfants en bas age et tout s'est très bien passé !! L'appartement disposait de toutes les choses dont on peut avoir besoin ce qui permet de ne pas trop charger les valises ! Robin a été très patiente avec moi lors de mes très nombreux mails d'information sachant que mon anglais n'est pas parfait !!! L'apparte est situé à 10' du ferry et le chemin pour y aller est super beau : on longe l Hudson avec vue sur la skyline et la statue de la liberté. Le seul petit point négatif ( il en fallait bien un ! ) c'est une cote raide les 3 dernières minutes du trajet retour ! De quoi finir de vous scier les pâtes après une journée bien chargée !!!!!! Le ferry est gratuit et met 25' pour aller à Manhattan en passant devant la statue ce qui rend le voyage des plus agréables. Bref si c'était à refaire c'est sans hésiter que je relouerait cet apparte !! N'hésitez pas à m'envoyer un mail si vous souhaitez plus de détails !!

  Das Haus ist sehr gut einferichtet. Wir - neun Personen - haben uns die ganze zeit sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Fahrt mit der Fähre ist morgens und abends ein Erlebnis. Ich habe diese Fahrten immer wieder aufs Neue genossen. Die Vermieterin ist eine sehr nette Frau, die für alle Fragen ansprechbar ist und weiter hilft. Ich kann dieses haus nur empfehlen. Michaela

  We stayed with a party of 8 at this house from 16 till 23 july 2011. Robin is a sweet person and very helpfull but her house is not suitable for a stay during the hot weeks in summer. The airco is ancient and not up to its task.,We practically melted from the heat and were very glad to get away from that oven !! We would definitely not recommand a stay during summer, however the house is spacious and probably nice to stay in during the cooler months.

  Owner response: Sorry about that, I checked and all the air-conditioner filters were dirty. After cleaning them out they all work fine now. But they are not old, just maybe not central air as some people are used to. This is a Landmarked home and we cannot add anything other than window A/C units.

  We had a very comfortable stay at this property for almost a week. The unit is very well decked out with all you need for a good stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the towels fluffy and plentiful, the bathrooms and kitchen were all recently updated. Water pressure is excellent as is the internet band width. There is only a small tv so bring your Ipads. The beds are firm with good sheeting. There's one bath on each floor so if you filled the house, access may be an issue. The floorplan is odd: the kitchen and dining room are quite removed. The entry way is not very appealing but don't let this bother you as once inside the place is well decorated/cared for. I'd like to know what the shampoo and conditioner was in the dispenser.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Staten Island. Very quiet and easy access to Manhatten via the Ferry. Renting both floors gave us plenty of room for our family of 13. Our family was there from June 13-20. This was a very comfortable place for us to gather. Enjoyed the Staten Island NY Yankees and would highly recommend a visit to Snug Harbor park. Enjoyed the children's museum there and the 9/11 Memorial building was VERY interesting. Also recommend the 9/11 memorial along the shoreline. Bus ran very close to house making it very convenient to catch the bus at the ferry and ride it to the house. Catching the bus down the hill on the main street was more convenient to the ferry. LOVED our stay there. House was clean and kitchen was very well stocked!

  Great property for our stay in NYC. We based ourselves there during our vacation in April. We had 14 people staying comfortably. Clean and very comfortable with all the facilities we needed for our stay. Easy access to the ferry terminal (10 – 15 mins walk) and local stores. No complaints at all.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
