Welcome to our charming beach cottage just steps from the beautiful Atlantic. With a full front porch & hammock, beadboard walls & ceilings, and tasteful furnishings decorated in the style of a Hawaiian hideaway, you will relish every minute of your well deserved vacation!
The house has two levels, each with: a comfortable living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a full kitchen. The levels are not connected on the interior, but accessible via two outside staircases, one off the full front porch and one off the back deck. It is the perfect configuration for extended families, couples, or several families traveling together, as it offers togetherness with the bonus of private retreats.
The upstairs has a flat screen TV + DVD and plenty of space to lounge. The full front porch increases the living area and offers a hammock, chairs, views of the ocean, and plenty of relaxation. The master bedroom on this level faces the ocean, has a king sized bed and a large TV and DVD player. The second bedroom has a bunk and twin (3 beds) plus an air mattress is available and there is a TV. The kitchen is modern and open with everything you need-- including blender, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker and all utensils for cooking & eating. A deck is located off the back with an outside table for dining al fresco. A gas grill is located downstairs by the separate laundry room with washer/dryer, a beach toys, chairs, etc. available to you during your stay. We also provide a collection of DVD's, paperback books and family games for your enjoyment.
The downstairs has a large, open kitchen complete with all the necessities. The living room has two comfortable sofas-- one that converts to a full sized bed. There is a large TV and DVD player, plus plenty of seating at the kitchen table and breakfast bar. The master bedroom has a nice queen sized bed and the second bedroom has three twin beds and a flat-screen TV plus a children's activity table and books. The bathroom is modern with tasteful tile. There is also a shaded patio with a picnic table and 4 wood lounge chairs-- perfect for a quick lunch off the beach and out of the sun.
The house also has a hot/cold outdoor shower (with great water pressure!) that is private and perfect when coming off the beach. We are located on a cul-de-sac, so it is a quiet location, yet is just across the street from the beach access. Our third-row, corner lot location is in the heart of Atlantic Beach-- biking or walking distance to "Four Corners Diner," "The Shark Shack," "Island Grille," The Oceanic Pier" and much more. The NC Aquarium (Awesome!) is located just down the road in Pine Knoll Shores, and historic Morehead City and Beaufort are just a few miles away with tons of shopping, dining, and sightseeing-- if you want a break from our beautiful beach. Try "Professor Hackers" for mini-golf, the water park in Emerald Isle, weekly activities at the Maritime Museum in Beaufort, or surf lessons and canoe trips through the NC Aquarium. There is so much to do here, or you can just enjoy our clean, expansive beach! The Hawaii House offers the perfect getaway for everyone. We hope to see you soon!
