The cabin sits on 36 acres and is surrounded by trees-no need for curtains! Each window looks like a Terry Redlin picture- nature at it's finest! You feel like you are the only person in the world.
The cabin has two bedrooms, a loft, and a bathroom. The kitchen and living room are open. It is decorated in the "up north" style. Off the kitchen is a sitting room, perfect for reading a good book. It is equipped with all the amenities of home, even wireless, high-speed internet.
When you wake up in the morning, you may be lucky enough to watch a deer feed right out the bedroom window. Sip your coffee while sitting on the deck or sit in the screen porch.
You will be able to watch the finches and orioles on the bird feeders. Listen for the hummingbirds as they fly to and from their feeder. After your coffee, you could hike back to the ponds that are on the property. Pick fresh blueberries or raspberries along the way. Chances are you will see more wildlife up close.
There are many activities and attractions in the area. Canoe or tube the Crow Wing River. There is a canoe outfitter only 4 minutes away. The current of the river gently pushes you along. This is a very relaxing way to spend your day.
If you like to fish or go boating, this property is centrally located between the Crow Wing Chain, the Whitefish Chain, and Leech Lake. There have been many trophy fish caught on these lakes. The lakes have many great beaches for swimming. You can also water ski and jet ski.
There are thousands of acres of states forests to hike. Huntersville(2 miles), Paul Bunyan(15 miles), and Foot Hills(10 miles) are just a few of the areas to explore. Itasca State Park is only a 45 minute drive.
Itasca is the starting point of the Mighty Mississippi. You can take off your shoes and walk across the river. It is easy to spend a whole day at Itasca. It is filled with rich history and the scenery is breathtaking. There is a lot of area to hike and explore.
Shopping is endless in town. Park Rapids is about 25 miles away, and it has many unique stores on main street. The towns of Nevis, Dorset, and Walker(30 miles) have many quaint and fun shops also.
You will find many treasures to bring home. If you are looking for department stores, Brainerd is 50 miles away. All of these towns have great restaurants. At many restaurants, you can eat and enjoy the view of area lakes.
Walker has Northern Lights Casino, in case you are looking for something to do on those rainy days. (Brainerd has indoor water parks, too.)
If you are looking for a golf course, Park Rapids, Menahga (20 miles), and Brainerd have many to offer.
The area has hundreds of acres for ATV riding and snowmobiling. The trails can lead you in many directions. Spider Lake (Foot Hills) is known for its ATV trails. The local businesses welcome snowmobilers throughout the winter.
The endless trails lead you to many great memories, and the scenery is beautiful.
At night, you can sit and roast marshmallows around the campfire. If you are lucky, you will hear the song of the whippoorwill. It is an amazing sound, and only few people hear it.
At this property you can experience the "up north" vacation, but you will have a secluded and peaceful area to retreat to. So, come and see what the woods in Northern Minnesota have to offer. You will leave feeling total relaxed.
One thing is for sure, you will leave with special memories of your time spent here.

We love nature and we wanted to be able to experience nature and watch wildlife. Because we have a busy lifestyle, we wanted a place to "retreat" to and enjoy the peace and quiet of our surroundings.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Even though the cabin is secluded, it is centrally located to many attractions and lakes. We can find many things to do. We can spend our day on one of the area's busy lakes, but we are able to have peace and quiet when we get back to the cabin. We unwind around a campfire. It is relaxing.
