This wonderful house is perfectly located near the end of Paseo Montejo (Merida's Park Avenue!) and is less than a 10 minute to walk to the Main Plaza. It is an especially private and spacious house located on the corner with two stories and a roof terrace. There is a bathroom on each floor - ground and second. The kitchen is large enough for anyone who loves to cook - just off the pool area. There are two refrigerators so fewer trips to supermarket! You can dine on the terrace upstairs where the breezes are constant.
As you enter, there is a very spacious foyer which leads to a very large living room/dining room. One bedroom on ground floor and two upstairs. There is a spare room on ground floor also which could be used as an office. A perfect house for just enjoying the sun in Merida and near enough to all restaurants/activities. There is also a washing machine in the pantry so no need to send laundry out which can become quite expensive. Maid service/pool cleaning service available on weekly basis.
All in all, a perfect house for someone who likes to relax and re-energize. Also perfect for long term rentals.

Irish born owner. Purchased house in Merida in 2005 but don't get down there enough. Work in the finance industry in New York City. Live in Brooklyn. Love to travel, animals. Love to cook for friends. Want to perfect speaking Spanish within the next couple of years!
Why the Owner Chose Merida
Friends of a friend moved there a number of years ago. I fell in love with the city when I went there in or around 2001. Many acquaintances are planning to retire there.
The Unique Benefits of this House
It is perfect for a completely relaxing vacation. If you want to shut the door on the world, it's the place. But because it's in Centro, you can also venture out when you want. Monthly rates negotiable. Learn a language while on vacation! School for language studies nearby.
