The whole group thought it was very accomodating for us all , with plenty of room. We especially liked the living areas on each floor along with the cleanliness. The pool table was nice for me also. What an amazing place! We were traveling for a Women of Joy conference in Sevierville and there were 13 of us. We decided we wanted to try to stay together this time which is why we chose this cabin. There was plenty of room for us to all have our own "space" yet we could still all be together. We were able to save a lot of money by cooking at the cabin which was fully stocked. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the numerous bathrooms meant no one had to "wait their turn". The tranquility and beauty was breathtaking and we will definately be coming back again. Thanks for sharing such an amazing place!!!

86 year old Mother brings 4 of her 6 children and spouses to "Mountain Getaway" for Christmas

We found "Mountain Getaway" a perfect place for 11 people to have our Christmas. The cabin was very well maintained and the decor was beautiful. The owner of the property was so very helpful, friendly, and very quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. I had several conversations with her and she was always corrdial and sweet. I felt like I have known her forever. We had a beautiful Christmas tree up and waiting on us when we arrived. We hope to return again in the future and I have stayed in probably 12 other facilities in the Smokies and this one is the best. I would recommend it to anyone. We didn't get out too much the 3 days/4 nights we were there, mostly stayed at the cabin and visited and ate. We cooked the traditional Christmas dinner and put puzzles together, ate and napped. A wonderful Christmas for all of us. We lost a sister two years ago and we brought her daughter and husband along and enjoyed their company. My mother is 86 and very active for her age and she is a clown. We mostly laughted at her.....A very memorial time for all of us to be with our Mother this Christmas. Thank you Sharon and Mike for a wonderful place for this occasion.

My family (16 in all) had the privilege of staying in this cabin 12-15-11 thru 12-22-11. Sharon had the tree up and decorated as well as the outside. The cabin was everything I expected from the listing and pics. The kitchen was as equipped as mine at home which made cooking a breeze. It was located away from the hustle bustle of the Parkway, however, every place we went was near by. We enjoyed the indoor sky diving, Smoky Mtn. Ziplines, Ripley's Aquarium, Wonderworks, Funfort and the indoor Water Park. The Outlet mall was a huge success with the ladies in the group. With ages ranging from 19 months to 61 yrs., I can without a doubt say that we enjoyed the cabin immensely. The hot tub went over for all ages. Our day trip thru the Smoky Mtn. Park was awesome! We went down other side into Cherokee, NC and onto the indian reservation. The grandchildren really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. We will be back...... Wyatt Missouri Clan P.S. Due to the floors being laminated, the noise from the upper floors were sometimes a bother at night.

What an AWESOME Place. We had 12 people....5 Couples and 2 more Friends. We had so much room and a Bathroom for every Room!! The cooler out back was a bonus. I would recommend this great House any day!

We had a great time during our stay in the mountains! This lovely mountaintop home has great amenities such as six spacious bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. There were several of us that were there and we always felt like we had plenty of room. I had a great time whether it was swinging on the front porch or relaxing in the hot tub on the back porch. Great weekend with great friends-I can't wait to go back again!!!

This was one of the most beautiful cabins i've ever stayed in. That's coming from someone who goes to the mountains every year. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly want. I would highly recommmend this lovely place to anyone. One of the nicest things is the fact that all bedrooms have a private bath. We had a little snag with the cable, but the owners were great and called the cable company and had us up and going in just a few hours.. turned out to be an area problem.. Owners were very nice and made every effort to make sure we were happy with our stay.

My husband and I stayed in this cabin with 4 other couples for a weekend getaway and had a great time! The website did a great job of showing what the cabin would be like and it went above our expectations when we got there. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are very spacious, the swings and rocking chairs were so relaxing, and all the amenities were wonderful. We had a blast enjoying each others company, playing games, cooking, getting in the hot tub, and watching movies. The owner's were so very helpful and I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative and would also go back myself!!

B-52 Crew Reunion 2011

We LOVED the cabin! It was perfect for our reunion. Our crew came from several places, MA, VA, FL and TN. Thanks to Sharon and Mike for sharing their home in the mountains. We had 11 people in our group and everyone had plenty of space. The cabin was everything plus more that was advertised. We cooked in every night and the kitchen was perfect with everything we could need. We enjoyed our down time together. The guys had a pool tournament every night. While there we in joyed shopping, golf, zip lines, white water rafting and shopping the artist in Gatlingburg. We were sad to see our time come to a end. Sharon and Mike were great to help with information. We definitely recommend this cabin to everyone. We hope to come back again as we get together every 2 to 3 years. Perfect cabin!!

Perfect Family Getaway!

This beauitful cabin tucked away in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains of Tennessee is a perfect place to take a family. Our family of nine adults and nine children had plenty of room to spread out or gather together. The kitchen is the most well stocked of any we have ever stayed. The furnishings are nice, the cabin is well maintained and clean. We had the pleasure of meeting Mike and Sharon and they are just awesome people. They are both VERY dedicated to making you feel welcome and want to make sure your stay at their cabin is all you could hope for. We love the fact that this cabin provides such a peaceful stay yet a few minutes away there are so many attactions to keep everyone entertained. Ripley's Aquarium is a must see. Dollywood is a lot of fun. Shopping is great. Don't forget the Smoky Mountain National Park. Cade's Cove is wonderful! We saw 13 bears in one evening! If you have time, travel the Blue Ridge Parkway into North Carolina. Breathtaking! More to do than I can every tell you. Just go have fun! Food is fantastic! Mama's Farmhouse and The Old Mill are the best breakfast spots. Tony Roma's ribs are so good! We highly recommend this cabin for any large group staying in this area. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Mike and Sharon for providing such a special place for us. We will be back!

The cabin was absolutely, amazingly beautiful! My girlfriends and I had the BEST time. We thank you for keeping an immaculate space, and for offering lots of creature comforts, particularly those incredibly downy soft beds. It was hard to go back to my own bed! We've talked seriously about coming back, making this an annual ritual. We were very fortunate to have selected your cabin, and, as the planner of our vacation, I definitely breathed a sigh of relief to have found that it was all that it appeared to be online.

I can't say enough positive things about our experience in renting this cabin. The owner was super easy to work with throughout. The cabin was everything as advertised. It's very spacious, super clean, and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dishes, etc. It was very convenient to the conference we attended and was equally convenient to shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

A great place for a family getaway

Myself and my family, my 3 brothers and their families and my mother stayed at this cabin over Christmas 2010. We had a great time and everyone was pleased with the cabin. The beds were comfortable, and the furnishings were in good shape. The fireplace got a lot of use, as did the pool table, foosball table and video games. The kitchen is a little cramped for the size of the cabin, but was otherwise well stocked. We also used the hot tub, and enjoyed an "Aspen" like experience with snow falling on Christmas day. Fortunately, the kids chose not to pelt the adults in the hot tub with snow balls. If we ever need a cabin of this size again, we will definately consider returning to the Mountain Getaway. The owners were great to work with, and we have no complaints at all.

The house was wonderful, and the surrounding area was beautiful. The description and photos were accurate as shown. The owner couldn't have been nicer or more cooperative and answered all our questions. It was such a wonderful experience I would, and have, recomended it to our friends. Our large family enjoyed a variety of activities - visiting the pumpkin patch, acquarium, the Park trails, hayride, shopping, and visiting Pigeon Forge, Gatlingburg, etc.. I would love to return some day for another visit.

This was our first family vacation to gatlinburg. I can say it couldn't have been any better!!!!...what made it amazing was our stay at Mountain Getaway. It was beautiful and very relaxing!!..It has everything that you need..we didn't have to leave the cabin for anything other than getting food!...There is also plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained. The set up and decorations were absolutely beautiful. There is also plenty of space, so if you are traveling with a large family you will have more than plenty of space. My favorite part was every room had a king size bed!!...this was definitely one of the best vacations we have been on and will be back for sure!!!

The cabin was decorated well and made us feel right at home. It was very clean and well maintained on the inside and out. The cabin was very clean and nice as well as tastefully decorated so you feel right at home. The Gaines' were easy to reach and very helpful with any questions we had concerning the cabin. Our family enjoyed a very relaxing, wonderful time at the Mountain Getaway. For some, it was there first trip to Tennessee and they were very impressed, as well as comfortable at the cabin. If you need a big cabin for a large family gathering, look no further!! The cabin and the owners are guaranteed to make your stay a truly pleasant experience!! The cabin is beautiful, just as described! Each level is tastefully decorated and provides a very relaxing atmosphere! It was very clean and provided the amenities needed for our occasion. The Gaines were extremely kind and promptly assisted with any questions we had regarding the property. The porches were great for sitting and enjoying the quiet outdoors and the swings are a most excellent touch! We will definitely recommend to family and friends for future visits.

My family spent our yearly visit to the Pigeon Forge area at the "Mountain Getaway". The cabin was just as the pictures portrayed it to be, was very clean and well maintained. It had all the conveniences that you would want, a fully stocked kitchen, and very large bathrooms. We especially enjoyed the sitting rooms and the decks on all three levels. This cabin was the best that we have stayed in and at a much more reasonable price. I highly recommend the "Mountain Getaway" to anyone that wants to vacation in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area.

This cabin was a great size for our family of 25 people (16 adults, 9 children under 7years old)! The three floors were ideal for that many people with that many kids because you couldn't hear much between the floors so the top floor made the perfect quiet space when you needed it. We looked around A LOT and this was the best cabin at the BEST price. The cheapest place but also that nicest. We really couldn't have asked for it to be any better! THANKS!!

Everyone enjoyed the comfortable, very roomy cabin, true to the pictures. The decks are an added plus, and great for some down time. Easy to get around to places. ,We took two trips to the mountains, tubing down the river, saw the amazing Chinese show, great for all ages, and the kids had fun at the family show Magic Beyond Belief.. Good food everywhere. We enjoyed the local fresh subs at the Firehouse Grill. And we were very satisfied with the cabin and helpfulness of the owners. Hope we can stay here again.

Wonderful Memories Can Be Created Here

A large, relaxing, warm home to spread out in and share family time all under one roof! Mike and Sharon are the most wonderful hosts and really do all they can to make you feel at home and welcome. The cabin was exactly as it appears in the VRBO site. Fourteen of us from one family came together to celebrate and enjoy time away in the Smokies. We created wonderful memories at the Mountain Getaway that we will all reflect on for the rest of our lives. The location of this cabin is just far enough off the highway for peace and quiet yet close to all the sights in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, as well as the beautiful Great Smokey Mountain Park. Wow! The views are amazing!!! Rafting was super fun. Dollywood is right around the corner, though we did not make it there. Check the map there so you can bypass the heavy tourist traffic. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy a great family vacation - just bring the food and drinks (no liquor sold in this county, only beer and wine --- fyi). We cooked and served meals every night of our stay at the cabin and had plenty of dishes and appliances. You need to bring your own dish and dishwasher soap, laundry detergents, and kitchen sponge/brush. The property was in "like-new" condition, clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a great family get-a-way in a beautiful location that is near lots of activities, we highly recommend this location for your next vacation.

We had a family reunion with families from Michigan and Alabama meeting in TN. The cabin had plenty of room for all of our families. Lots of gathering spaces throughout the place. A large barbeque and all the kitchen items you would need to cook at home. Overall an excellent experience and a fun time!

Had a great time in a wonderful house. Cabin has everything you could need or want. Plenty of cooking and serving stuff for 16 people. The location was excellent. Lots of moving around space. We had 16 people and had plenty of room to spread out. Cabin has 6 decks that has rocking chairs or swings. A nice gas grill and hot tub. My children enjoyed the pool table and foosball table. Beds were comfortable and king sized! Would recommend and would return to Mountain Getaway again. The owners were very nice and easy to work with and wanted to make sure that you had everything you needed. Very nice people and had the cabin decorated very nicely. Thanks Mike and Sharon for sharing you home with us.

Stayed in a great cabin with six couples while riding motorcyles through the smokey mountains and blue ridge parkway. Great individual privacy and also fun gathering spots on the numerous decks. Easy access to Sevierville attractions but far enough away to be really quiet at night. Highly recommended.

Very nice Cabin- Held six couples with ease, lots of comfort, both together and private times available with the many decks and levels. Great spot for sunsets, and very conveniently located to restaurants and the Smokey Mountains, but far enough away to "get away". Group rode 1000 miles in 4 days in the various roads in the area, so a great spot for motorcycle riders. Owners very attentive to the cabin and needs of the renters, would recommend to others. Greg.
