We traveled all the way from Colorado to stay here and it was worth the trip. You don't come here to spend your days traveling to amusement parks or local attraction. Casarea IS the attraction. The only place you will want to go is to Garry's Grocery to get something to cook up for dinner. This is the best place to go with your family to reconnect and have fun and relax on the front porch and watch the sunset at the end of a great day. Indoors offers movies, games and great comfy sofas. Since each room has a private bathroom there is plenty of privacy. Bring the kids and grandkids, you'll be glad you did! Thanks Dave.

Outdoor Fun !

We (20 of us, friends and family) recently visited Casarea and had an amazing time. The property is beautifully maintained and offers so many things to do. We played alot of golf, fished, zip lined, shot clay pigeons, and even did a little hunting. The property has tons of trails for walking or riding and is particularly entertaining for an evening cruise on a golf cart or 4 wheeler. The nostalgic decor begins as soon as you enter the front gate and sets the tone for a magnifcent experience. Everyone should be so lucky to experience this well manicured slice of God's country !

Exceptional Fun

A perfect place to get away and shoot a television commercial (or two). Dave was terrific as a host and assisted us in a number of ways that made our time a Casarea productive and fun. I could see returning with a large family reunion or small corporate team meeting to bond, connect, relax, work and play, and just have a beer or two (Leinenkugel's, of course) in a great setting.

The property is simply amazing! As a director i have tons of places to choose from but Casarea is in a class all its own.. I wish we would have had time to reshoot this property for Dave as the pictures barely do it justice. I had a full production team stay at this large but cozy location and many did not want to leave when we were done shooting. There is plenty to do here and as city folk from Chicago we found endless stuff to do when we were done working. Its the perfect place for a large or small family and the 1/2 mile drive into the property will make you smile. I have to say Dave was an amazing host who went well beyond what any host could ask for. To us he became a member of the crew! We will see you again Dave for work reasons and personal! Your southern slice of heaven was hard to leave.

What a great property to get away and enjoy a quiet and serene setting with lots of activity options. We filmed a commercial and it was ideal to bring so many of natures elements into the spots, woods, lakes, cabin, quiet, etc. The hosts are wonderful folks who truly opened up their property to suit our needs. Did I mention fishing, golf and a zipline?

The Ballestero Christmas time in Georgia!!

We had a grand surprise when we all arrived at Desire Total Peace. We have been gathering with our five children and their families for over ten years, always having such a good time. This year was so special and I might add the name" Desire Total Peace" certainly got my attention when looking for a place for our family . The family enjoyed the outdoors so much together hardly coming in for long until it was dark. The Zipline, Trampoline, Four wheeler trails, Golfing and it was the best variety of recreation the family had seen. What a treat!! The Beds were good, and the kitchen was so accommodating and we felt like this was our favorite Christmas time. It was all so pleasant and the house was in good working order and we hope to come again soon. Thank You Dave you were so pleasant and comfortable to talk to as Owner. Thank You so Much!! Moore's Christmas get together

Dave just want to thank you for having us at your beautiful home. The description is right on and in fact lacks what you really find - it is AWESOME!! Had lots of room for all of us. There were 18 of us 9 adults from 30 - 60's, 9 kids from 8 weeks to 15. Six were 6 or younger. Had families from AL. TN and FL was a great location for all of us to meet that would accommodate all of us and each of us had only 6-8 hours travel time (don't think that is too bad for vacation). There was more than enough to do to keep us entertained and we didn't do a lot of the things available. Grandkids want to return when it is warmer and they can go down the zipline and swim. We had several games of cornhole on back deck (all ages), walking on trails, some enjoyed the golf course, trampoline was in use almost everyday. Made some beautiful pictures with the lake as background. Temperature while we was there was in the 50's and 60's so firepit was used one night to sit around talking and roasting marshmellows. Great having enough space for everyone to sit and eat. Bar was used for laptops since I think every family that came had one. Like several previous mention cell service is not the best even with verizon I usually had only 1 bar: not a problem. Felipe responded quickly to help when we needed something taken care of. Will definitely keep it on our places to revisit when we plan another family gathering. Only place several of us made it to was Wal-mart (about 10-12 miles) not sure of what is available around there since we had everything we needed at Casarea. We did enjoy Rentz Baptist Church service Sunday morning.

Owner was very helpful in answering all of our question prior to vacation date. Property features were accurately listed on website. No near by attractions but they are all on the property. Zip line, lake with canoes, ATV riding trails, Riffle shooting area. House was stocked with games, cookware, and most essentials. Property is well maintained. Enjoyed the fire pitt and surrond sound for outdoor music. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.

Great Family TRIP

We stayed here for our family trip. My brothers, their families, and my family go every year for one weekend to a house/cabin to spend time together. We usually take board games in order to have some fun. This home has lots of out door activities and for all ages, we stayed outside most of the time. The teens had fun on the zip line. Our younger children had fun on the trampoline. We brought our own 4-wheelers. We had such a great time. Very spacious. Plenty of bathrooms. It was one of the best family trips!

Great Getaway!

This was our second year to rent and we couldn't be happier. The house is comfortable and really roomy for our group of 12 men. We come here to spend some quality time away from the demands of our families at home and reconnect with one another around the fire. The long kitchen table makes a great place for our poker games. Shooting contests are always fun down at the "range", complete with two target throwers.The sandy soil near the fire-pit is perfect for horse-shoe tournaments. Of course night time corn-hole on the expansive, well lit deck is a must. After all the fun is had for the day, the many beds are made with fresh linens and are very comfortable to rest our tired backs. FYI, there is a great golf course just about 10 minutes down the road for a fun round...just ask Dave and he can point the way. Put simply, its an ideal getaway for our group and we plan to be back next year.

Eaton Family Vacation

This place was amazing! It had been awhile since our family vacationed anywhere and we couldn't have gone to anywhere more perfect for our family! There was 19 of us from ages 1 - 55. The 4wheelers were constantly going =) I recommend bringing 4-wheelers and trying out the track! Even us girls got into it (a little dusty, wear goggles or glasses!) The zipline was a huge hit for all our wild and crazy boys. They were a little disappointed with the "golfing" as it's not a total course but it was fine - they still played. All the rooms were great and the king beds and personal bathrooms were amazing. We made our traditional Low Country Boil on the last night and it was perfect around the big, country table. Dave was great and was very willing to answer any and all questions - even brought us some BBQ one night! I'd recommend this to anyone doing a retreat, business get-away, family vacation . . . Earlier this year we had agreed that we're planning a trip, as a family, every year and we'd take turns planning it and go somewhere different every year - that has changed. It was unanimous, we no longer need to "plan" a new trip every year. We'll just come back to CASAREA!!!!

Great for Kids of All Ages!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. We had 6 couples all with children stay here and there was plenty of room. The kids LOVED the trampoline and it is great exercise for the adults. The husbands loved all the outdoor activities, the girls weren't much into them except for the pond. We did however have fun just riding around on the golf carts. I would definitely recommend renting both of the carts if you have a full house. The boys used them to play golf, but the girls really had fun just being able to ride around. The trampoline is already included and super safe, like a giant bouncy pak n' play!! We did some serious cooking and the kitchen is truly well stocked. I would contact them to confirm if they have certain items so you don't bring stuff you don't need. I THINK I saw a waffle iron and even a wok in the gigantic pantry. The beds and bedding were AWESOME! So comfy, rooms were nice and dark when you put down the blinds, AC worked well, and the rooms were very soundproof, so it was nice to sleep in or go to bed earlier than everyone else. Great fun and I highly recommend it to family and friends. The owners were great. Perfect for family reunions, weddings, corporate retreats, etc. Nearby activities? I'm sure there are some but no need with all the things you can rent here.

Nunn Family Retreat

There were 24 of us, 8 kids , 16 adults. We had a blast on the zip line. Got a lot of funny pictures. Will have some on FB.Had so much fun playing Corn Whole. The Go Cart track was really neat. The guys had a lot of fun on it. The kids never got bored. The front porch was great for a quiet cup of coffee in the early morning. Really peaceful. The road going in is really neat too. The only thing , if you bring an RV , it might not go down the entrance road. You might want to talk to Dave and see if he has another way in before you bring one. Dave was great about helping and answering questions. 3days is not enough, we wanted to stay longer. But there will be a next time. Thanks Dave for everything. We will let you know, when we plan our next Retreat . We try to do one every other year.

Yearly Family Get Together

July 18th thru 23rd was our yearly family get together. We choose a different location each year but Casarea has been named the best find yet by my family. We truly enjoyed every aspect of your wonderful home. There were 13 of us ranging in age from 5 to 64 with a couple of teens in between, there was something for everyone to do. From the firing range to the zip line to the trampoline to the golf course even the animals were a hit. My favorite was the spacious accomodations and comfortable beds - AAA rating for that. We will definitely keep Casarea at the top of our list for a return vacation! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Family Reunion

This was a FANTASTIC property for our family reunion. There was always something for everyone to do and our group of 20 ranged from age 3 to 84. The children liked the trampoline, the young (and older) adults loved the zip line, the golfers played every morning, skeet shooting and range target practice was held frequently, the whole group had fun on the go cart track, we had multiple cornhole games, and someone was swimming every day. As for the oldest of the group, the scenes from the rocking chair on the porch were great and the rented golf cart allowed mobility. The wonderful owner was always patient with my questions and ever ready to help in any way possible. This is a rental I would very highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Get-Together

Our family of 14 (8 adults and 6 children ages 5 and under) had a wonderful time at the country house. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and we all enjoyed the many activities available on-site. The zip-line was especially fun and we caught numerous fish, including first-time catches for the five and four year olds. We found everything to be just as described and pictured in the write-up. Dave was very quick to respond to a couple of minor glitches and very accommodating. We highly recommend this property to any large-size groups, as the 8 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable.

CASAREA Country Estate

Our family just completed a 3 night weekend at Casarea and had a complete BLAST!! There was so much to do the only time we sat down was to eat. The photo's don't do justice to the home and grounds. The owner was very helpful by coming over and showing us around the property. We had 9 adults from age 37 to 74 and 8 children from age 3 to 18 and there was something for everyone to do. We would highly recommend this for anyone considering a family get together and would consider coming back again. The kitchen was extremely well equipped-we lacked nothing. The beds were EXCEPTIONAL!!

"This Place Is The BOMB"

My mother's 75th Birthday was a BLAST in Rentz, GA. The property has everything and more to have" good ole country FUN" . The house is just immaculate, spacious and well equipped. If you forgot a item, something very similar was there to use. Also there were a local grocery store within 2 miles and Walmart and shopping with 17 miles. The pictures are good, but does not give a true picture of the house many amenities. The grounds are just beautiful. The lights around the property made night playtime great. The sound system was great. My family is already planning to secure a date for next year celebration. Thanks soooooooo much for allowing my family to use your wonderful home. We have already recommended it to friends. The owner is a wonderful person to work with. May God continue to bless your family.

My visit to this property was incrediable....the house is magnificient and the property is spectacular....I was never bored unless I choose to be so while I read and fished in a well stocked pond.....lots of wildlife and flowers....wonderful to wake up to the the robins singing while you had that first mornins java!! I can't wait to take my entire family down for a comprehensive family reunion....plenty of space to avoid "weird ole uncle George".....paradise for kids and teens alike....the porch is heaven on earth for us seniors and the older family members....be sure to gather in the large kitchen for morning breakfast and cofffee and planninng for a full day of acitivities right on the property.....no need to go anywhere....in a word....the is a serene paradise with every activity available for the young f folks and for us seniors...have fun folks.....I will most surely be back as soon as possible...Blessings to all God's children... This place was absolutely perfect. The pictures don't do it justice, as you have to stay to get the full effect. There is always something to do, and plenty of room to do it. It has all of the amenities mentioned and then some. It can accomodate very large groups and sleep them very comfortably. I would highly recommend this place, and will be returning myself. We had a blast!

Booked this place for a family gathering to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. This place was great! It had something for everyone. It was so much fun! The guys really loved the shooting range and even a few of us girls got in on the action. Everyone loved the zip line, and we even got the birthday girl to go down a few times. Our Favorite Family Reunion Location So Far!

Our family of 16 adults and 4 kids stayed at Casarea last weekend and we all loved it! There was something for everyone in the family to do. We brought our 4-wheelers and had the best time riding on the miles of trails on the property. The house is designed perfectly for a family reunion. We loved having our own private bathroom to every bedroom. There was plenty of room in the living area and kitchen for the whole family to seat to eat. We can't wait to go back! This trip was my side of the family and now my husband wants to take his side of the family. The photos don't do the house and property justice because it was all beautiful and rustic. Dave was great to work with and answered all of my questions very quickly. We can't recommend anything to do in the area because we never needed to leave the property - everything we wanted was right there! Thanks Dave. We will definitely be back.

Home Away From Home...

Our large family of 6 seperate families spent our Christmas vacation at this wonderful home and loved it! We have children ranging from 3-23 and all had a blast. There is tons to do outside. The house was large enough that we had plenty of room. This house is very kid friendly. All of the outdoor amenities are a bonus especially the trampoline and the golf carts. We are already planning another trip to this wonderful home!

Christmas Extravaganza

Dave on behalf of my family and I we would like to thank you for extending a warm welcome into your beautiful home that was so peacful and relaxing. We had a wide range of ages from 7months old up to 86 years old and everyone enjoyed your wonderful home. All of the rooms in the house were comfortable and well decorated. The Golf course was very well manicured and well lit for night play. The fishing pond was clean and clear all around which we all enjoyed. The two fire pitts was a plus because we spent a good bit of time around the fire reflecting and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The sound system was clearly state of the art, because my wife and I took a stroll around the pond and we could here the good christmas music crystal clear. The land is full of widlife, I actually was leaving the deer stand as nice deer crossed my line of sight about 100ft away but i was already on the way down. Oh yeah and please let me not forget the corn hole competition. We really enjoyed corn hole on the back deck it is a very competive sport. The property has so much to offer and will more than meeet you expectation. Dave was a great host from start to finish and answered any and every question that we had. My entire Family would to thank Dave once again for allowing us to use his home and cant wait to return in the upcoming 2011 year. V/R Smith&Taylor Family

Looking for a little piece of paradise?? Well, this is it. It doesn't matter if your city folk, you owe it to yourself to stay at Casarea. A family outing or just a group of friends for a long weekend, this is the place. Our trip was a family event. The house was plenty spacious for the 14 of us and the property has lots to offer. We had hunters, golfers and relaxers. In the upper corner of the kitchen is a pig with a chalk board in it hands that describes it best. Easy to come, Hard to go. Thats the truth. Quiet does not describe the serenity here. Amentities galore. If you want to do something different for your next vacation or even a mini vacation, don't waste your time looking at the other stuff out there. Make your reservation now. Dave is fantastic and a more than a gracious host. He has thought of everything and you being comfortable is a big deal. He spent a lot of time with our daughter answering her questions and helping her with her archery inquiries. It is indeed the little things that make a difference. Saturday was big football day for all of us as we had four critical games on. No worries watching from the huge kitchen, the living area or from the big back deck while we were playing marathon games of Cornhole. Dave, Tina and I would like to thank you for making our stay very enjoyable. everyone had a blast and it was great to have our family together where nobody got bored. No doubt we will want to make this an annual thing. It is unfortunate the time went by so fast. We will return and we hope to make Casarea part of our family for years to come.

First let me say that if you are considering this property you should do so in utmost confidence. It is absolutely everything it is represented to be. Casarea was the site chosen for CHIEFAPALOOZA, a family get-together for my Dad who was celebrating one of those milestone birthdays. Dave and Carey, with their "can-do" attitude were tremendously helpful during the planning stages; they even facilitated a surprise visit from my nephew. Our stay at Casarea was phenomenal. The house is beautiful, the grounds breathtaking, and boy is it ever fun! We had golf tournaments (day and night!), bocce ball tournaments (girls rule!), we threw bags, some of us even spent the better part of an afternoon exploring the treasures in the driveway! I can't say enough about Dave and Felipe - these two gentlemen are the epitome of southern hospitality. My Dad summed it up best. At dinner Saturday night he said "I've had a lot of birthdays, but this is the best one ever!" Thank you Dave, Carey and Felipe. We will definitely be back!

Pictures do no do this place justice ........ this place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! We hated to leave! All the comforts of home ........ only a lot more fun. Loved the private 9 hole golf course ......... it's a bit more challenging than it appears. Even spot lights for night golfing! Corn-hole toss, kayaks, golf carts, fishing poles, swimming pond with a high dive, porch swings, fire pit. Top of the line all the way ...... front load washer & dryer, VERY comfortable king size beds!!!!!!!! Each bedroom has it's own full bathroom. Everything was so nice & clean. We enjoyed this place enormously and plan to come back one day. It was perfect! Thanks Dave & Fillipe for making us feel so comfortable during our stay and making it feel like it was "our place" during our visit!!!!

We had an AMAZING vacation here! Our group of friends get together once a year for a big reunion party and this year was by far our favorite. The house, and all the activities surrounding it, was absolutely perfect. We made use of just about everything. The kids practically lived on the trampoline. We had some high divers jump off the platform. There was lots of kayaking. One night, the kids dressed up and trick-or-treated around the pond. The boys golfed. The kids went on little adventures in the woods. The women jogged around the peaceful neighborhood. We left the house only once, to go visit the corn maze in Dublin. We felt safe and happy the entire time and never wanted to leave. Everyone is asking if we can go back, and I'm sure we will. :) We truly couldn't have had a better vacation. Great time--like being at camp

We had a great family vacation in July. Kids loved the pond, golf cart, fishing, and trampoline, and adults loved the private baths, king beds, stereo system, golf, and large kitchen and tv. We went horseback riding one day, which was fun. I'd recommend you bring your groceries...shopping is not around the corner. The property is even better in person than in these photos. Would be a great place for church/youth groups, too. One warning: AT&T cell service doesn't work well in the area, and the landline won't call out 9 digit numbers (now required in that area to make a local call). So just be prepared to do email instead, or bring a Verizon phone.

Our family spent a non-stop 3 days at Casarea. Visiting on the front porch, corn hole on the back porch, swimming in the pond, playing golf, fishing, volleyball, trampoline and more. We did not think the pictures on the website were quite accurate. This place is so much more than expected.The kitchen alone was twice as big as we though it would be. The house is very well equiped and the beds are so comfortable. The extra bed in the loft area was a great surprise. We counted that as an extra bedroom. Oh, we were not expecting to find golf clubs and golf balls there for our use. Also, fishing equipment. My husband caught so many fish.(When he could get the kids out of the pond) Well, I could go on and on. We have told all our friends what a lovely and very clean rental you have. We never needed to leave the house so I really don't know about nearby attractions. Looking forward to our next visit, Pat

Can't say enough about how comfortable this property was for our family reunion. Each couple having their own room with private bath and TV was wonderful. Being able to eat all our meals together, but having enough space for ourselves when we needed it was great. Property was exactly as described. Golf lovers, if the 9 hole golf cource on the property wasn't enough for you, an 18 hole golf course was only about 15 miles away in Dublin for only $15, includig cart.

We were there early May and had the time of our lives. It was so very relaxing! None of us wanted to leave. We loved all of the surrondings! the house was fantastic and extremely comfortable. All 4 of our grandkids were there (ages 2 thru 11) and they were never bored. They loved the goats and horses & everything there was to do. The corn toss was so much fun. We spent very little time inside - but could have because there was plenty of room for everyone even inside. We loved the wrap around porch . Dave & Carey were wonderful hosts. We didn't mind not having cell service, never even missed the phone. Great place and we will definitely return! Thanks for the awesome time.

CASAREA, is simply a MUST if you are looking for a good time. A group of 16 best friends (age 20-30) attended and loved every single moment! During our stay we enjoyed: petting horses, dogs, and goats, jumping from the platform, playing golf, playing tug of war, throwing the football, three-legged races, dizzy bat, fishing for bass, roasting marshmallows, jumping on the trampoline, darts, canoeing, playing corn hole, and so much more. The house is full of endless games, and things to do… There was a Wii-inside the house, but it was never turned on. There are indoor and outdoor speakers so music can be played. There is a huge kitchen, and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Garry’s Grocery store is just down the road so there is no need to pack a cooler. The White Family is really nice and willing to accommodate any request. Anyone that has the opportunity to play at the CASAREA palace is one of luckiest people in the world.

There was so much to do for everyone of all ages - golf, swimming, fishing, volleyball, animal farm. The property turned out to be every bit as fabulous as the listing indicated in the pictures and description. It was like we had an entire 5-star resort to ourselves the entire week. The cabin was terrific - lots of space, big bedroom suites, huge great room and dining area where we all could eat together. I can't thank you enough for how well the property was setup and ready for us when we arrived. Absolutely perfect family getaway

I don't know where to start! From the moment you turn off the paved road and head back to the lodge it's like going to a perfect summer camp. Wake up, play, eat lunch, play, eat dinner, play, sit around a fire telling stories and making S'mores, go to bed with a big smile, repeat. All in first-class comfort with your own room and full bath. Everybody in our family wanted to move there permanently and most (not just the kids) had to be dragged away at the end of our stay. We'll be back every year. Thank You David and Carey for creating such a wonderful place for our family and friends to be together.
