We enjoyed our stay at Casa Amore' this fall and have already booked again for next fall! We really appreciated the basic cooking ingredients in the well-furnished kitchen, the cleanliness, the view, the peace & quiet, the insulated tote for picnic lunches, the blackberry picking in the woods, the washer & dryer, and many other amenities. It's such a beautiful location and so comfortable and convenient to get to our friends' homes, the beach, hiking, mountains, fishing, shopping, vineyards, great restaurants . . . . honestly, OR has everything we love about AZ & FL in one location!

Our vacation was truly memorable. We loved everything about the home, all of the little touches that make it such a special and warm place. We're lucky to have the summers off and love to travel. We've vacationed in many different locations, house swapped to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, spent a week in Glacier Bay, Alaska, and while they were all spectacular, I don't think we've ever experienced the serenity offered by this home. Being out in the middle of nature, you have such an overwhelming sense of peace and privacy. We really loved every minute there! Oh, and the wine tasting opportunities are incredible!

Attention Linfield Parents, Wine Lovers, Girls Getaways, and Everyone Else--We booked this amazing retreat for the 3-day weekend we were Linfield-bound for our son's graduation. Amity is maybe 8 minutes down the road from McMinnville. I didn't completely know what I was doing, just knew that we wanted a place with enough room for the family to gather and hang out. WHAT A FIND! This was perfect. I don't normally like to do ANY cooking when I am on vacation, but we kept things simple and it was so much nicer than having to all meet up at restaurants to visit! Another son joined us from Seattle. This way, we could relax and our Linfield graduate didn't feel like he had to entertain us the whole weekend. In fact, the place was so cool, that he wanted to hang out at OUR place. I jsut wish we had know about it earlier for the many times we went up for football games. When we found this little shanghri-la and turned down the driveway, it was magic. We were in the forest primeval. I feared it was not going to have that mountain feeling that I wanted, but it felt like we were all alone in the world. Deer wandered by the door at 5:30 am the first morning. The view across the valley, the coziness, oh boy, it was just charming. So comfortable, I just can't describe how much I loved this place. We stayed an extra day. We also managed to be there the weekend they were having wine-tastings all over the place. I definitely will be planning a girls trip to Casa de Amor as soon as time permits. Fall is also spectacular. Amity is a sweet town. We lived on the homemade pies at the Blue Raven fruit stand in Amity. One more big thing. It was so cool and civilized to find coffee, condiments, etc all there at the house. Toaster, microwave, washer dryer, really everything you need. Really saved us a ton of money over separate and impersonal hotel rooms. We thank you for your wonderfully caring hospitality. We will be back!

My husband and I recently spent two months at Casa Amore during the winter months and found this special round home to once again (previously stayed for just 2 nights) exceed our expectations with regard to the location, amenities and cleanliness. There is a peace that surrounds you while staying in this retreat-like setting. The trees covered with moss, the expansive views across the valley, the distant babble of a stream, and the restorative "quiet" made our stay very awakening and relaxing at the same time. My 6-year-old grandson joined us for one night--he loved looking up through the round skylight to watch the trees and the sky! During our two-month stay, we explored both the wine country (dozens of wineries and tasting rooms within minutes of the home) and the Pacific Coast near Lincoln City--just an hour away. We also discovered McMinnville's Saturday Market and several top notch restaurants in the McMinnville and Amity areas. I work as an online college instructor and spent the mornings working on the computer with reliable access to wireless internet in the home and then my husband and I planned afternoon trips nearly every day. Casa Amore is special no matter how long you stay, but after staying for two months, I can truthfully say that this unique home worked its magic on us!

My husband and I were feeling the need for a retreat from our busy lives. The information on Casa Amore sounded like just what we were looking for and it did not disappoint. The setting was serene, secluded and beautiful. We felt like we were in a high-end tree house with all the forest to look at. The windows showcased the beauty of the area. We used the deck a considerable amount for resting, reading and barbecueing. We have family nearby and it was fun to entertain them for once instead of us living with them. The family loved the place as well and it was a great place for everyone to feel at home and enjoy the family gathering together. The house had everything we needed and more. I like to cook so was happy to find all I needed in the kitchen. Though there was a TV available it was never on while we were there as we did not want to waste a moment away from the experience. The central location in Willamette Valley was a plus as we were close to all the area has to offer when we felt like leaving for a bit. The biggest challenge we had was choosing whether to stay at the cabin all day or go somewhere. We honestly would have been happy staying all week without leaving it was so relaxing. Staying at Casa Amore made our trip this time and we would love to stay again sometime.

I really miss the round house - every day. I think that is the house I would like to retire in. I really enjoyed the quiet and the wild life. Birds, deer, snake, squirrels, skunks, mice, (my brother who came to visit one day had a mouse give birth to her babies in the back of his pick up), racoons, I really enjoyed being able to watch them live and enjoy their habitat. I enjoyed the round shape of the house, while on the top level and the windows open; I felt as if I was outside listening to all their different calls and noises. I also enjoyed the close proximity to Portland and the Oregon Coast. It was very nice for day trips as well as close to the Monastery where I went to school. I also have a habit (because of working in a high school) of visiting colleges and I was able to do this both in the Portland area and down in Corvalis and Eugene, which will be helpful in guiding students applying for college. The house also had a peaceful "presence" in it - as if the spiritual meet the real world. Itw as easy to pray and feel the presence of God and all the angels and saints - I felt as if I couldn't go when it was time to leave as if I was leaving my best friends, and I felt lonely for their company......... Thank you so much for the opportunity of visiting your house and forest. It was the best summer I have ever had.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Casa Amore. I just gasped with delight when we entered the front door! Such a wonderful place to kick back and relax. Your place is perfect. You have all the conveniences of being at home - which we love as we tend to cook at the rental when we travel and seldom eat out at night. The view from the livingroom is spectacular. I loved just sitting in the chair besithe window looking out (even when it was mostly clouds that I could see!).... Is there anything I would add to the accomodations? No, it's perfect!

We ended up spending more time at Casa Amore than orginally scheduled and it was truly the highlight of our trip to Oregon. I'm sure we will be ongoing guests - we ant to book at least 5 nights there again next fall, possibly for our anniversary in the early part of October. Those colors for a Bay Area woman are absolutely breathtaking.

What can I say except "thank you!!!" for such a healing and lovely place. I don't think that any in our group of 5 arrived feeling that they needed healing or that they were stress unnaturally. Nevertheless, solace and peace were given and we leave grateful for those gifts. It is a magical and extraordinary and "special" place -- all truths which I am sure you thuoroughly know.

Casa Amore is an amazing find, especially for those looking for a peaceful location: the house is surrounded by beautiful woods. What is most incredible is the layout and design of the house. It is a YURT structure, completely round with big windows showing an amazing view- but it has all the amenities of a first class hotel. There is a full kitchen, cable TV, stereo system, wood stove, big comfy couches, sky light, etc. The best part of Cas Amore is the tranquility it provides. This would be a perfect place for a peaceful retreat. Something about the circular design of the house makes one feel centered and calm. There is a beautfiul outside patio area to sit and read or just contemplate life. My family loved our stay at Casa Amore. Whether you use this as a home base for great wine tastings in the area, or plan to hang out and enjoy the peace and tranquility, this place rocks. The owners are very helpful and the price is more than reasonable.

Thanks so much, it was great! I just wanted to let you know that my sister and I loved staying at the house in Amity. It was convenient for what we were doing. We visited a ton of wineries and even ate at the Joel Palmer House and Tina's. The house had everything we could ask for. Thanks so much.

We just arrived late this afternoon and found Casa Amore to be everything we had hoped it would be.. peaceful, stylighsly well-appointed, and perfect in every way - just what we needed. Thank you for your good taste in everything that you have created here. It all works and has great energy. The charming grounds are immaculately kept, and the fall colors are really beautiful right now. We know we will enjoy coming back as much as we are loving being here now.
