This beautiful lake front home is in The Hideout, a premier gated community in Pennsylvania's Pocono mountains. It is located approximately 20 miles east of Scranton, PA, just north of Interstate 84.
With the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bath and bedroom, deck and screened porch all facing the lake, two stories of windows offer wonderful views of the lake, and hills beyond. An oversized "L" shaped paved driveway easily accommodates several vehicles. There is generous and level lake side yard space for activities and a small dock for fishing or swimming. The lake is an intimate size, featuring a small island in the middle, and can be walked, paddled or rowed around in a short time. Since power boats are prohibited, there is always quiet complimented only by the peaceful calls of many varieties of birds.
The Hideout features a full set of amenities including 2 beaches on the main lake, tennis and basketball courts, a quality 9 hole golf course with bar and restaurant, and a craft center. There are numerous destinations and activities and shopping within 30 minutes drive that include antiquing, a nature preserve, golf, theater and movies, farm stands, petting zoo and coal mining and train tours.
