Mickey House was AWESOME!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. Karen is excellent to deal with and extremely helpful, especially if you are going to the parks! We had the best time. Pool and hot tub were nice. It is located in a very nice, quiet community, about five minutes to the main drag with tons of restaurants and about 20 minutes from Disney. We would definitely recomment the property!

Owner response:There are many different ways to get to Disney. Actually Disney Property is 30,500 acres or 43 square miles. That's why when you make reservations for Disney Property and you are using their transportation they always advise you to allow 1 - 1 1/2 hours to get there. I always use the back door to get to Disney Property, which is Rt 192. There are 7 traffic lights which can cause havoc on your travel and then again rush hour is a bummer. No one wants to be late for meals.

My husband and I had heard about the "Mickey Slept Here" house and even saw the photos, but seeing it and staying there for a long weekend well exceeded our expectations. It was pure paradise from all the adorable Disney details and comfortable rooms with plenty of space to the fully furnished kitchen, open family room, huge TV and heavenly, heavenly, private heated swimming pool and hot tub. We would have been happy just to stay put, read, relax and float but there was also so much nearby to sample and explore. (And we didn't even step foot inside Disneyworld, Epcot, MGM or any of the other main parks) We ate at fabulous restaurants, including Crabby Bill's and House of Blues; took our first airboat ride to see gators, a snake, turtles and an eagle; hiked a wilderness trail and pretty walking trail right in the gaited development; the guys golfed, the women shopped at super outlets; took a step back in time at the "Crackers" homestead and one-room school house; visited the scenic Celebration community; and rode a tethered balloon at Disney Downtown for a grand panoramic view. Only wish I could rate the rental as more than 5-star! Thanks Karen and Dean for sharing your shangrila with us.

Mickey's Villa

Our family had a fantastic stay the week before Christmas. The villa is spacious, clean and had everything we could possibly need. The endless Mickey & Minnie touches that the owner has made, all around the villa are tastefully done and the children absolutely loved them. Cumbrian Lakes was a quiet, central, gated community very accessible for Disney and we will definitely be returning.

Our family spent a week in Orlando and had the privilege of staying in the above Mickey Vacation Home. The house was even better than the pictures. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. We would for sure stay in the house again when we plan our next trip to Orlando. Our children loved the Mickey paraphernalia; it made their trip so much more enjoyable. We give this house an A+++++. We stayed at this home for 5 nights. It was comfortable, spacious, and modern with all the amenities you could possibly want. The home is convenient to all Orlando destinations, especially Disney World. The house was beautifully furnished and very, very clean. It is a fabulous home in a gated community. This website is quite accurate as all the pictures look exactly like the rooms in the house. The owner was very helpfu and I would recommend this property to anyone!

The best vacation ever!

Our stay at this home made this trip one of the best ever. It is nice to have the extra space and to not have the need to stay in a cramped hotel room. The home was clean and spacious and had every amenity thinkable. It was wonderful to have the pool to relax in at night. Our only regret is we would have liked to spend a few more days in the house itself. But we plan on a return trip to this same home as the owner and the management group were very kind and helpful in everyway. The listing was very accurate and the location was very convenient. It was easy to get to everything from this location.

We totally enjoyed staying at the Mickey House. The pictures shown represent it perfectly. The house is decorated beautifully and very roomy for our family of eight (six adults and two children). It was very close to all the parks. Our only regret is we wished we had allowed more down time to just stay at the house. Everyone involved was very helpful and informative.

The description of property and location was right on. The six of us had a marvelous time in the pool and it was spacious enough for our crowd who's ages ranged from 3- 60+. Very clean well maintained property backing on a greeenspace which we loved waking up to every morning. I would highly recommend this for a disney getaway home!

We had a great time staying at The Mickey House! The description and photos accurately described the location. It was great to come home after a long day in the parks and be able to cool off in the pool. There was plenty of room in the house so everyone could spread out. Karen was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions! I would definately recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. All parks were just a short drive away, the area itself was beautiful and everything you might need was within very short driving distance. We had a great time!

I luved this house it was the best place ever i felt so relaxed and it was just comfortable and it was nicely decorated i just luved it i would tell everyone to stay here i want to come again and everything was right in town not far from anything.

Awesome Mickey House

Our stay at the Mickey house was awesome. The house feels bigger than the pictures show. The location is incredibly private. The house is incredibly child friendly. The pool fence gave us peace of mind. The door leading to the pool would also be difficult for a small child to open without help. We have a one year old, the house is not baby proof, but we didn't expect that from a rental. We had a blast spending several days in the pool. It is also close to Disney, about 20 mins to all the parks. We just loved getting back from the parks and seeing Mickey everywhere we looked. Renting a house sure beats staying in a hotel. My wife and I were able to relax in the hot tub several nights after the kids went to bed. I would absolutely recommend this house to family and friends.

We just returned from 2 fabulous weeks in Florida and our stay at the Mickey House just topped off an excellent trip. The house was exactly as pictured but seemed more spacious. The Mickey House is well maintained, very clean and well equipped with cooking utensils. It is close to all amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool, which also looks larger than pictured. Hope to rent it again in the near future!

Just got back from visiting Mickey.. I want to thank you for allowing me and my sister & nephew to rent your beautiful home.. It was the first time we ever rented a home.. It was like staying in a five star hotel for a two star price...It was well worth it for the peace & quiet, cleanliness, use of pool & hot tub, free internet use and the game room was great.. I had not played ping-pong or pool for years... What a relaxing time. The property was close to everything.. Parks;shopping;& groceries, etc.. We will be coming back again..
