Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Having traveled in the Sierras as a child, I am especially fond of nice, reasonably priced places in the pines. So, I attempted to create such a place here in the paradise of Mt. Shasta. I went to UC Berkeley, got an MBA from Univ. of Virginia. Long experience has taught me to respect customer service as a foremost trait.
Why the Owner Chose Mount Shasta:
I chose Dunsmuir because it is picturesque and unspoiled. Dunsmuir is close to skiing, fishing, and every other sporting activity you can think of. The parcel has several cottages and one main building, and is away from the central town.
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
I have found several spots of rare beauty (within five minutes of here) that NO ONE seems to visit (except for the occasional hiker or fisherman.) I retreat to these spots to just relax and meditate. But, I'm not a loner. I enjoy hiking on Mt. Shasta or Castle Craigs (just one freeway exit away), river rafting on the Klamath, or playing golf at the resort.
