Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Cape May
Our home was purchased to be close to the places we love. We hope you will enjoy our home and its wonderful location ideal for creating fun and fond memories.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
We love watching the sunrise from the front porch or living room. Its great having a large back yard so our two boys can run and play. We love walking through Cape May, picture taking, imagining what it was like when only the gas lights lit the streets, wondering whom would come out from one of the wonderful Victorian homes with their vivid display of colors and decorations. Christmas must have been a special season in days gone by, as it is today in Cape May. It is a place to fall in love again. A great place to walk hand in hand. We love being able to walk to some of the finest restaurants in the country. The boys, Nigel (toy poodle) and Silver, (miniature poodle) love walking to the hot dog stand near the beach. Its your turn to explore this great area. Come stay, relax and enjoy!
400' to the Promenade. Stroll to the promenade shops, restaurants, arcades and miniature golf. You might even catch a wedding on the beach or an amazing sunrise or sunset.
Only a few short blocks to downtown Cape May, the Victorians & Washington Street Mall which consists of quaint shops, great restaurants, horse carriage rides, trolley rides, antique shops and more.
Everything is within walking distance or use the bikes provided with our rental unit. Great times, great fun for the whole family. 4-5 Blocks and you are in the middle of all the great fun.
Pick up all your BBQ needs at the local Acme grocery store. Parking is provided for Acme customers. Bank of America is also located in the same shopping center.
What a special treat for breakfast lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced, fresh, made to order food. One of our favorite places to walk to for lunch or dinner.
A must - request a seat on the porch for a couple - but make your reservation - on our 05/09 I had Prime Rib that was out standing, Deb had Blackend Catfish with Vanilla Sauce & Bannanas just outstand
Owner's Map of Cape May
Here I am with my boys. Nigel, the white toy poodle and Silver, the silver miniature poodle. They have their life jackets on. You may see us on your visit to our wonderful home. We love the beach and the ocean and enjoy walking the gas lit streets of Cape May. The boys want us to make our retreat available to other well behaved boys and girls, both of their world and of mine. My daughters also have wonderful memories of the beach, zoo and the time spent together in Cape May and in all the nearby seaside communities including Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City, Ocean City and the many towns in between. We particularly love Cape May because it is rich in history and is a year round community. Come stay, relax and enjoy our home. Perhaps we may leave a treat for you. May God Bless and enrich each and everyone that visits our home. Silver passed away during the spring of 2010 and he is greatly missed. Those that knew him remember his kind spirit. He was a great treasure and he will always be remembered fondly. We are happy to announce that in March 2011 we acquired a new playmate for Nigel, a 7 month old poodle mix named Smokey and he can hardly wait to stroll the streets of Cape May this summer.

Again, a wonderful dream vacation for my family. This vacation house is spotless and convenient for older folks and dogs in its single floor construction. The cooking facilities are great since we eat-in several nights. The washer and dryer are useful since I wash half-way through the week. WOW, check out the cable TV (hi-def) line-up!!! Who could ask for more than a TV in every room! We like to relax, sit on the spacious front and back porches, walk around the neighborhood, read, drive around, nature walk and watch, shop, eat out, read, watch TV, nap, and sit on the beach. This house and Cape May are our dream vacation.
Owner response:Thanks for coming back to our cottage for another year. Let us help make your dream vacation come true also. We offer a professionally cleaned cottage, kept updated, close beach, town, beach cruiser bikes included, beach chairs, beach blanket.

My husband & I loved this cottage on New Jersey Ave.! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was just as described- a block from the water and a nice easy walk in a neighborhood surrounded by big beautiful colonial & Victorian homes. We relaxed and had drinks on the wide porch every night and had fun people watching. We were so glad to have the opportunity to bring our dog, Mac, with us and made sure to take good care so others can do it too! Thank you to the Solers - they have an "Inn-Keepers" spirit and it comes through in many little details in their home. We hope to be back next year!
Owner response:We would love to have your family and Mac back for another visit. Our promise to do our best to make sure you and your family have a wonderful vacation at our cottage. You are only steps to the beach, steps to the town and steps to some great Restaurants and much more fun. Come and relax on our large porches with nice comfy furniture, take a nap, or just enjoy the relaxing sea breeze.

My sister and I had a grand time spending a few days in the Cottage. The porch was something to behold. The furniture outside was updated and the awning made the experience of leisure living a wish come true. I also liked the wrap around porch so that if you had children they would be able to go to the back and play and still stay off the grass that was well manicured. Eating out was a choice but the well equipped kitchen would delight any cook.. The Soler's thought of everything that you would need to have or you had forgotten to pack to make your getaway a time to enjoy. All that was NEEDED was the choices we as a family need to do to make memories. Thank you for such a wonderful well maintained, clean home. I will try to get back again soon. For all others whom come to the cottage enjoy the THAT PORCH....WE DID.....
Owner response:Thank you we strive hard to make our cottage very comfortable for our guests. Lots of room to streach out relax enjoy the both covered porches. The cottage is well equipped to make a wonderful dinner or just relax dine out and enjoy all the great restaurants Cape May has to offer. September is relaxing the days are warm the ocean is still warm. Lots to do and see in Cape May througout the fall. We offer any combination of days or nights to fit your needs at this time of year. All you need to bring is your linens and towels.

Made a quick trip to Cape May and just stayed for the night, but it was so completely worth it. Perfect location...close to the beach and short walking distance to shops and places to eat. We loved riding the bikes provided there and sitting on the front porch watching the passer-byers was just perfect. Kevin was great to work with, as well as being very helpful and accommodating! Quick replies, as well. Would have loved to spent more time there!!

This was our first year renting the yellow cottage on New Jersey Avenue. We were fortunate to have good weather which made getting to the beach very easy everyday, being just one block from the beach. Enjoyed the huge front porch , with the comfortable chairs and table for snacks and drinks. The cleanliness of the home, washer and dryer in the kitchen, backkyard grill, clothesline for quick drying clothes, outside shower with warm water, multiple hangers in the closet and ample dresser space for clothes made for easy living, Also, any problems that occured ,Kevin and Debbie were quick to address and fix. We hope to rent again from Kevin next year at one of his properties. Kevin is very helpful, organized and easy to deal with. Loved it was pet friendly, our dog felt right at home, She loved the porch with all the bike riders and dogs going by.
Owner response:What a joy it will be for you to just relax and enjoy our cottage. Leave your bikes at home because we provide you with beach crusier bikes and beach chairs. There is also a large front porch with comfy furniture to enjoy the ocean breeze. Just steps away (400') is a wonderful beach to build a fantastic sand castle or perhaps just ride a wave. Come back from a relaxing day on the beach to a clean, comfortable home with new bedding and a fully equiped kitchen or enjoy a rinse in our hot/cold outside enclosed shower. The sun and fun are here. All we need is you.

We had the best week with our family. The location could not have been better, close to the beach and a bike ride in to town! The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. We loved both porches with the awnings, spent a lot of time there. All details were thought of....beach tags, chairs, bikes and grill. Loved walking to Peter Shields Inn for a nice dinner..very romantic and food was excellent! Our kids enjoyed their first visit to Cape May, they want to return next year (ages, 20, 17 and 13)! Our Yorkie Chewy loved the front porch watching all the people and dogs walking by! Thanks Kevin for a memorable vacation.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beach cottage over Easter weekend. The property is very well-maintained. It's spotlessly clean, well-appointed and pet friendly! The location is great - just one block to the beach. The wraparound porch is a big plus and the perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. Kevin, the property owner, was a pleasure to work with and he provided everything needed for a fun beach getaway (bikes, beach chairs, outdoor shower, etc.). I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation in beautiful Cape May. I hope to return soon!

This little cottage is spotless. Everything you could possibly need is provided, except the linens. You should take your own on those. The kitchen has all the small appliances as well as a dish washer and washer and dryer. The bedrooms and living room all have beautiful flat screen tvs. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. There are also several beaches that allow dogs. Walking thru the town is very enjoyable. We went in November which may not be the best time to go. Alot of the shops were closed, But the town Mall was open everynight with shops and places to eat. We also went outside of town a bit to the Cape May Winery. That was very nice and they also let you take you dog into the wine store. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. You will enjoy your stay in this nice house.
