While enjoying the stunning panoramic mountain and ocean front scenery, you can soak in the hot tub, listen to the birds or sit under the romantic pergola and just relax on those hot summer days.
A rare estuary, this tidal inlet has some of the best bird watching Salt Spring Island has to offer including eagles, turkey vultures, hawks, blue heron, king fishers, osprey and many more birds. The little quail make this yard their home and are truly entertaining.
Enjoy the private cedar dock just steps from the doorway and warm tidal swims in the summer. Kayaking is awesome year round and we provide the double kayak with life jackets (two).
This home is fully equipped with 5 appliances, a full kitchen complete with your basic necessities (quite well stocked) including home made jams/jellies, spices, organic coffee and tea. A large country bathroom with a compact Bosch washer and dryer ensure you will have more time to play!
Sink into the luxurious king bed, topped with a heavenly 4" featherbed and 500 thread count percale sheets. All the beds are cozy and warm with locally made wool duvets and crisp cotton sheets. Cotton blankets are also available for those hot summer nights.
During the evening curl up to the wood stove with a book or enjoy a hot tub while gazing at the stars
This cottage is perfect for a sabbatical , or quiet writer's retreat. Super for a family holiday in the or a romantic getaway for those special weekends.

April 1, 2011-September 30, 2011 (high season rates):
$1500/week or $225/night
December 20-January 1st is also high season
Rates are based upon double occupancy (two people in one room).

We live next to the vacation rental property. we love it here! I am a registered massage therapist and my partner is an investment advisor. We grow our own food on our property and on the cottage property. We have chickens, bunnies, two border collies and two wonderful cats. Kids love helping us to collect the eggs in the morning.
We are fairly active taking advantage of the nearby hiking trails and swim almost every day in the summertime.
We love meeting new guests and enjoy sharing what this great island has to offer including the amazing artisans and all our favourite restaurants.

Accurately presented in listing. Clean and well maintained. Impressed with all the extra homey and thoughtful touches. Close to all amenities. Hosts were very helpful and attentive. Wifi unfortunately was unreliable and operating instructions for DVD player needs to be updated to conform to new TV. It would also be helpful to be informed prior to arrival that one needs to purchase "septic friendly" items.

Eagleview was our comfy base for a series of day trips on and around Salt Spring. We explored the waters around Wallace, Pender and Portland islands in our sea kayaks, hiked along the coast at Ruckle Provincial Park and climbed to the summit of Mount Maxwell, Each afternoon we returned to our cozy home away from home and soaked our aches away in the hot tub. The kitchen was quite functional and we ended up eating most of our meals in. The Ganges Saturday Market and plentiful roadside farm stands provided us a wealth of choices for healthy, tasty meals. Our hosts, Lionel and Kelly, were gracious and very respectful of our privacy. The view of the wooded hills across Booth inlet and the quiet, rural setting (just minutes from Ganges) combined to make us feel a million miles from our normal, hectic lives.

We went to eagle view cottage for a romantic getaway for our 20th wedding anniversary. The cottage was amazing! The king bed was so comfy with the featherbed topper and wool duvet. The private decking and the hot tub were great, we were in it each night gazing at the stars. We loved the bird watching too, lots of eagles, ducks and geese, many other birds I did not recognize though (I'm not a birder), lots of little quail running around the yard which was fun to see. We loved all the restaurants in the village of Ganges, eating in a different one each night! The kitchen was fully equipped and we did use the facilities to make great waffles and pancakes every morning. Thanks for the supplies! We really did not need to bring anything, this cottage was so full of supplies it was a nice surprise. Many great things about this place, would definitely return and definitely recommend it!!!

I loved eagleview cottage. It really is a "house" not a cottage, fully equipped with everything we needed for our home away from home trip. We were blown away with how well stocked the cottage was from everything we needed for cooking(many spices, oils, vinegars, flours, sugar, etc.) to coffee, tea and super organic eggs. The Fresh baking was incredible, yummy scones! We will definitely be back. loved the tidal inlet, kayaking was great, and local lakes to swim in were super clean. We would recommend this cottage if you want a great family holiday. I imagine it would be great for a romantic getaway too because of the privacy of the deck and the great hot tub. Hope we can return this year!!!
