Sometimes you just need a day to relax and regroup. Within 30 minutes of our house we found Henrys cabin on the Lake. Better than a most hotels around North Louisiana! We stayed one night in Cabin "C", the first Cabin you drive up to. Nice, spacious and had everything we needed and then some. The bedroom has a full/single bunk and another single. Very soft beds. I met Shalane Sunday afternoon, as we had trouble leaving such a peaceful place behind. She was very nice to allow us to linger and enjoy the beautiful day. We highly recommend this place to everyone, and we plan to go back soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I lived in cabin C, from 2/12-2/18/2012. It was hard to leave, when our time was up. This was our first time at the cabin and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Henry and Shalane are more than just owners. They are down to earth,accommodating, friendly, spirited people, that made us feel welcome and at home. You can step outside the door of your cabin, walk a few feet to the peer, where you can fish day or night. Everything you need is provided for you, from sheets to silver ware. All thats needed is your clothen and food, if you get tired of eating fish(smile). It is the perfect getaway for a single person or the entire family. Thank you Henry and Shalane, we plan to return this summer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Rented 2 of the cabins this past weekend. We fished, grilled and watched the LSU game. Very nice place. The deck is lit for night fishing. Spoke with the owner, Shalane, while we were there. She was very nice and even shared a few fishing tips. If you’re visiting Farmerville, LA, check out these cabins. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I spent the weekend and relaxed. It is a nice quiet place to stay, fish, read, and what ever you decide to do.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

About the owner: Henry and I live near and manage the property. Henry has fished this lake for more than 30 years and done well in many tournaments. We raised our kids hunting and fishing in the area.
Why the Owner Chose Farmerville:
We put this cabin here to accommodate families taking time to take their kids fishing, hunting or enjoying time away from the hurried schedules of the regular day. Lake D'Arbonne has many kinds of fishing available year 'round, hunting in the winter, and summer water sport areas.
