Ever dream of floating around in a houseboat and just taking in all the beauty? Well, that's exactly how you'll feel when you come to "The Camp". When you walk into the the living room/kitchen area, you get a 180 degree beautiful waterfront view, complete with grassy islands and sea birds. The beautiful porch/lanai goes almost right up to the water's edge. Kayaker's will just LOVE this place!!!
"The Camp" is located near Gulf Shores' white sandy beaches and overlooks a creek which immediately opens into Wolf Bay. If you like doing it all on your vacation such as boating, fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, swimming, going to the beach, shopping at the Tanger outlet mall, this is the place for you.
The "Camp" is tastefully decorated and is fully furnished with everything you'll need to enjoy a memorable and comfortable vacation to enjoy lots of water activities. You'll sleep like a baby on our comfy mattresses. The smaller bedroom has a VCR with movies/cartoons for kids when the weather won't permit outside activities.
You won't pay the high beach prices here, but you are close enough to get there in 10 to 15 minutes, then come home to your own quiet, tranquil creek cottage.
You are welcome to bring your boat....as long as it can get under the bridge nearby. Any boat such as a pontoon, kayak, jet ski, "fish & ski" sized boat would be suitable. You can dock right at the end of the pier. And why not take advantage of getting free seafood! You can catch crabs right at the end of the pier!
You can boat up the creek to get to the fresh water fishing/swimming and feel like you are an explorer seeing our virgin Southern waterways for the first time (it's so natural), or go down the creek to turn the bend and make it into Wolf Bay. There's so much to see and do.
You won't lack for entertainment in the Gulf Shores' area. I forgot to mention the great seafood restaurants here and not to mention we are 5 min. from the famous Lambert's Cafe'. Or if you'd just rather take it slow and easy....you definitely can here.
The tiled lanai is huge and is large enough to hang your hammock and still have enough room for dining and sitting area. The full kitchen has a spacious dining area as well, should you like to dine in a lot.
The home is 1,200 sq. feet and that's not including the 30' x 15' lanai. The master bath is spacious and is also accessible to the Living area. You won't want to leave this place once you get here.
Much care and consideration has been made in making your stay as comfy as possible because we want you to think of this as "Your Camp" and come back time and time again.

- Crabbing off your own pier! We have two deluxe kayaks (with padded seats and life vests) available to rent for a minimum of 2 days at $50 each day per kayak. Rent for your whole stay (up to 2 weeks) for $150. each. They are kayaks suitable for fishing with hardware to hold fishing gear. Only rented as a pair. No single kayak will be rented.

"The Camp" is an absolute WONDERFUL place to just get away and relax. Everything was so clean and very well organized. If you want a place to just get away this is the place to be. It is very well equipted with everything you need except for a dishwasher BUT you can always use the "fine china" (paper plates). Mrs. Colleen has done an EXCELLENT job of decorating it and making it very cozy and we can not leave Mr. Jeff out. The grounds are very well kept. My husband and son loved to walk out on the pier to fish and catch crabs. Mrs. Colleen and Mr. Jeff are super nice and make sure you have everything you need. You are about 5 miles from Lambert's Cafe, 6 miles from Tanger Outlet, and about 7 or 8 miles from Wal-Mart. There's plenty of other wonderful restruants near by also. Not to mention Krispy Kream donuts. This is a place we will go back to visit and recommend to all of our friends and family. Just next time we have to find the boat ramp.

This lovely cottage is just a little bit of heaven on earth. I spent a great deal of time on the lanai just enjoying the fish and birds playing in the water. Since I rented the cottage for the entire month of August, the fans on the lanai really were beneficial in stirring the August breezes. Colleen has taken great care in decorating the lovely interior. Being near the restaurants and outlet mall is an added bonus. Contact with the owners was always very cooperative and informative.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in this great cottage. We watched the dolphins from the porch as we ate supper. This location makes you feel like you are on your own little island although you are only minutes from the center of everything. The owner was very accomodating and our deposit was returned in a timely manner (a problem we have had in the past). The house wa spotless and well-stocked, with the exception of pot large enough to boil the crabs that we caught. We will be back! For our needs this was a 5 star out of a 5 star experience.
