Why the Owner Chose Ridgway
The cool summer breezes and unhurried lifestyle of the mountains will captivate you. After living in humid South Florida for almost 30 years, the mountains kept calling us back to savor its farmers markets and local produce and incredible views everywhere you look.

Don't forget to look up Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the Curecanti National Recreation Area which are 45 min - 1.5 hr away, east of Montrose. Enjoy boating, hiking, fishing and many other sightseeing opportunities. Check out the Box Canon in Ouray, 20 min away, the little "Switzerland" of America. We loved this mountain getaway! The views were amazing and the location is semi-remote, which we greatly appreciated. Ridgway is situated right near Telluride and Ouray but a much better price. The house has a bedroom and living area upstairs with two great decks. Appreciated features and amenities included a garage, upgraded kitchen and bathroom, laundry facilities, pet friendly, plenty of kitchen supplies, satelite TV and it was clean. The owners were pleasant to work with and the caretaker was more than accomodating. We would highly recommend this place for any couple wanting to get away from it all.
Owner response:Yes, it is truly an amazing place - totally outfitted and ready for you and your family! It is so close to town yet so secluded and incredibly quiet! PLS COME BACK AND SEE US AGAIN!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

If you want a little quiet, solitude, great views and a comfortable rental, this place is for you! It has one bathroom and a spacious bedroom with a king bed, so it's best for couples or small families. The twin beds are downstairs off the garage, so OK for older kids only in my opinion. The views off both decks are lovely and at night, it is so dark and peaceful! A great place for a romantic getaway in Ridgway, our favorite town in all of Colorado!
Owner response:So glad our secluded mountain retreat fit your bill! It is super comfortable and ideally located with incredible mountain and valley views lying at 8000 ft! We hope you can come back and see us again soon! We are impressed that Ridgway is your favorite town in all of Colorado! Please let the Chamber of Commerce and Town of Ridgway know aboutgyour vote!

My husband and I stayed for 1 week and we really enjoyed your cozy cabin. We loved the interior design along with the beautiful views and quiet surroundings. The sunrises and sunsets were wonderful from every room. The washer/dryer is also a great addition for longer stays. It's nice to be able to pack less and wash while away. Also nice to have a full kitchen and cook "at home".
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

Great little cottage with an AWESOME view. Remote, but easy access to Ouray and Montrose. Cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. I would definitely visit again.
Owner response:So glad to hear you enjoyed the perfect getaway! Views are definitely out of this world and cool evenings on the porch or inside with the cosy living room with its fireplace are to die for! We hope you can come back again -- thanks very much for visiting us!
