Be sure and try world class fly fishing, bike & hike trails, kayaking and rafting. Relax in the hot-springs pool in Salida. Other spas and hot springs are less than an hour away. The Great Sand Dunes and the Royal Gorge are nice day trips. Ski Monarch and Cooper are a short drive away. You are about two hours away from eight other ski areas. Drive to Denver in three hours and Colorado Springs in two.
This is the "Banana Belt" meaning mild winter and perfect summer climates.
