  From the moment we walked into the villa our stay was absolutely wonderful. The gorgeous floor tiles, the expansive living room, office space, dining room, and kitchen were perfect for our style of living. The enormous master bedroom offered incredible views up the coast combined with the spacious closet and attached master bath that is so well appointed. The guest bedroom, also with an attached bathroom with double sinks and shower/bath, was very modern and contained plenty of storage space. In addition, the views from the villa's interior rooms and exterior balconies are nothing short of phenomenal. It was very difficult to avert your eyes - day or night - from the sights and sounds of the ocean waves breaking on the beach below, or from the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Molokai and Lana'i in the distance. On the other side of the villa, the ninth fairway of the Kapalua Bay Course beckons as you watch golfers playing down the hill to the ninth green. This spot also affords a panoramic sunset view. A short walk farther down the hill leads to the pro shop at the Bay Course and the Pineapple Grill Restaurant and Bar - a great hang out spot for vacationers and locals. The swimming pool complex immediately adjacent to the villa contained brand new Weber barbecues. This was a terrific area for our frequent dining nights "at home". The area was also superbly suited to meeting other vacationers and year round residents alike. We met a very friendly and helpful group of people. The owner of the villa is exceptionally helpful and efficient in the rental of this unit. Peter is extremely well organized. He offers clear and concise suggestions and ideas for fully enjoying the paradise that is Kapalua. If you are considering a rental of this Kapalua, my suggestion is that you hurry because we are coming back soon.

  This was our sixteenth trip to Maui and second time at the Ridge. We love Kapalua and won't stay any place else now. The views from this unit are the best we have had on the island. Amazing! We were a bit surprised by the street noise during the day as the unit sits above the main road. But it was quiet at night - which was most important. There were some housekeeping issues with the unit, but Peter handled them most professionally and immediately. There are also some plumbing issues which need future attention, but nothing that interfered with our vacation. This would have been a 5 star rating had the unit been in tip top shape, but it was a good experience and Peter gets 5 stars for handling things professionally.

  Owner response: A close relative of the housekeeper was killed in an accident and she left the island before the unit could be cleaned. The Villa was cleaned the same day the guest arrived - just later than it should have been. I refunded a nights rent to them for their inconvenience. I'm disappointed they downgraded the Villa for this reason along with a very, very small plumbing problem which was also immediately fixed.

  The property was exceptional. Well-maintained, well-located, spacious, etc. The owner was exemplary in his communicating information before we agreed to stay and afterward. A paradigm of efficiency.

  This rental far exceeded our expectations!! The previous reviews and photos online sounded wonderful but once we arrived, we were overwhelmingly ecstatic with our stay at Peter's villa. We arrived on Maui after dark so we were pleased to arrive at the villa to such welcoming surroundings. And when we woke up in the morning, we were blown away at the views! Peter has stocked the villa so well for his guests. The kitchen is not only beautiful, but had everything you could imagine in it. We were also pleasantly surprised with the beach toys/towels/etc that were there for our use. As a family of 5 with 3 young boys, we were very comfortable in the villa and it was nice for our boys to have their own "space". We loved sitting out on the lanai and having our coffee in the morning and watching the morning sun rise! Loved all the nearby beaches-Fleming Beach was our favorite! Kapalua is such a great spot-less hussle and bustle than Kaanapali Beach but still has great restaurants and less busy beaches. (Sansei is one of our fave restaurants!) We cannot wait to book again at Peter's villa!! Outstanding!! Thank you!!

  My family and I were thrilled with this Ridge villa; it was fantastic! After having stayed at Kapalua over the past 4 years I can say without a doubt this villa and owner are the best. The villa is actually 3 units connected to make one very large 2 bedroom Villa. It affords the most spectacular views and the whale watching was non-stop. The kitchen had every top of the line appliance and item you would need to dine at home. The living room, bedrooms and bathrooms also were extremely comfortable and well appointed. The owner Peter Lazlow took care of all our needs with prompt and courteous ease. We would love to be able to stay here again!

  Wow is all I can say. Simply wow. Okay, if I was to say more it would go something like this: Astounding, breath taking, spacious. luxurious, and I could go and on. This condo had everything and I mean everything. They even supplied cable and movies (granted we really didn't need it). The bed, holy cow, it may have rivaled my own bed and let me tell you, if it was anywhere other than Hawaii, I would have had a hard time getting out of that bed. The coffee maker made the Kona coffee even better. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were very convenient. Ok, if I must complain about something, it was that the batteries did not work in the TV remote and DVD remote but they did in the cable remote. I was going to mention it to the owner but I was too busy relaxing and forgot. Hey, if all you can complain about is batteries in the remote, then the owner is doing something right. Seriously, was not a problem. The unit was just like described, only better and the pictures just do not do it justice. We spent the first part of the week here and the rest of the week in a "very nice" hotel in Honolulu. The entire time I was thinking how much I missed this condo. It had better views, free parking, a kitchen, washer and dryer, and the internet was included and atctually worked! Oh, and the bed wasn't nearly as comfortable. Ok, I could go on and on but just trust me, rent it and you will be extremely happy. You can stop looking now.

  This property was absolutely incredible. The view was breathtaking. We walked in the view kept going and going with windows that wrapped around the apartment. Everything was beautiful and comfortable right down to the pillow top mattresses. I can't wait to go back.

  My husband and I stayed at this property the first two weeks of December 2012. This is our second time to rent this apartment and we hope to return in the near future. The listing description and photos are accurate, even better in real life and the views are incredible. We have rented other properties over the years and I must say this apartment is very well equipped and there were no "surprises". The apartment was clean and well maintained - we had a small problem in the kitchen and the maintenance people were very prompt in fixing it without a fuss and were courteous. Kapalua Beach is a short walk away with good snorkelling and this year we were entertained by a very exuberant whale while we sat and watched his performance. The local restaurants were all very good and the two Kapalua golf courses were challenging. Peter was very professional in his dealings with us and I would have no reservations in recommending this property.

  Thank you for sharing your home in Maui. We had everything we needed in the condo and the most incredible views from the patio, living room, and bedrooms. We look forward to our next stay. Peter always got back to us right away and made the renting process very easy. Thank you again.

  This Villa is absolutely the best. The views are unbelievable and they are apparent from the second you walk into the unit. The unit is beautifully decorated to complement the Hawaiian environment and having three flat screen TV helped our group enormously. The kitchen is equipped with top of the line appliances and cookware and utensils to match. We cooked most of our meals which was a great savings to our group. Peter, the owner was terrific to work with. Two small problems arose during our stay and each was handled within minutes. The Villa is situated perfectly within the resort and it is a short walk to the Kapalua Beach, the Ritz Carlton hotel and pool and also the hiking trails which run throughout Kapalua. Merrimans a wonderful evening but also the Plantation House at sunset. I have no hesitation in recommending this Villa to all ages for their trip to Maui. You will love it from the moment you arrive and will be unhappy when your time is complete. I can't wait to go back next year and I am already making plans to return.
