Wow!!! Upon arrival to this beautiful condo, you will be shocked by your amazing view of the Pacific!!! Absolutely stunning!!! The condo itself is beautifully decorated with plenty of space. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you need. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. Peter was both very helpful and responsive when we had a couple of questions. Kapalua itself is a great vacation spot just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ka'anapali and Lahaina/Front Street. Golf enthusiasts will fall in love with the famous Kapalua Plantation and Bay courses here. We have found our little piece of paradise in this hidden gem and will definitely be touching base with Peter again for years to come! Peter.... thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home and making this the vacation of a life time for us!!!

Great Stay

Wonderful 4 night stay for us and our first time in Maui. This is a great location on the island and within the Kapalua complex. My wife was more than happy to stay in the condo and relax as the views are worth it. We ventured out to Lahaina for an all day fishing trip. Lahaina is also a good spot for a larger grocery store if you need one, prices will be cheaper than at the Honolulu store at Kapalua. If you want a great dinner with awesome views try the Plantation House located at the Plantation Course Golf Club House. We witnessed a great sunset with ocean/mountain and whale views. As far as the condo goes it was as easy as could be. The door code system works great, never worried about a key, and the set up and views are fantastic. We used the kitchen to cook some meals in and all that we needed was available. There is a dishwasher and laundry to help if your vacation is longer. We have traveled all over the world and usually do not repeat a destination but my wife is already demanding to return next year!

Best View In Maui; Great Value for the Price

I'm sure our review title could be argued, but the view is better than the ocean front villa we rented last time (Bay Villas in Kapalaua). After having stayed in the Four Seasons in Wailea for 10 on a previous visit and now in a condo in Kapalua (Bay and now Ridge Villa), I can't imagine why I'd want to stay in a hotel room (and pay the same or more). The view is much better than the Four Seasons, you can make your coffee the way you like it, you don't have to bring so many changes (use the washer and dryer), enjoy a glass of wine, a beer or cocktail at any time (at a fraction of the cost in the area). Don't get me wrong... we go on vacation to save money. While the villa isn't a 'Gold Package", the kitchen and one bath have been completely redone). On our two week visit it was windy and the Ridge Villas do get the wind so sitting on the lanai can be a bit chilly. But, you can sit inside and enjoy the view (and whales). My wife is the master inspector, and there wasn't too much she didn't like. Her first actions upon arrival was to clean the coffee pot, silver ware and plates (they were clean... she just likes to know that she cleaned them), she also removed the bed spreads (put them in the closet) and put away some of the plastic flowers. While the unit sleeps up to 6, it was just the two of us. The unit is conveniently located and you can walk to the beaches, trails and restaurants. Having a car is convenient, but you don't absolutely need one. It depends what you want to do. There is a good deal of uphill/downhill walking so you need to be in decent shape, or you can drive. There is one pool 30 seconds away and another a minutes walk. Plus you can use the pool at the Ritz or enjoy their beach set up where they offer bathooms and meal/drink service). My wife and I are passionate consumer advocates and authors of Negotiate Anything! (Amazon, Barnes and Nobel). Our acid test, is would we rent this villa again? The answer is a definite YES. The owner, Peter offers a good value and was a pleasure to interact with. He always got back to us right away during the sign up process, billing and we had one question when we arrived.

FIRST BUT NOT LAST

I cannot imagine a more wonderful stay on Maui. Everything exceeded our expectations. Whale watching from the condo, the pool 100 feet from our doorstep, snorkling, whale and turtle watching from the Four Winds II, ziplining right there at Kapalua, the drive to Hana, golfing at the Bay Course, the hike up above Kapalua, taken and returned by shuttle and the perfect finale to our trip, the Feast at LeLe. If you are thinking about a Luau this is the one, a five course meal served at your table, unlimited drinks and entertainment from ALL of the Pacific islands, a little spendy but what an experience. Don't go too crazy at Costco, you'll be eating out more then you think, after all, you didn't come to Maui to do it on the cheap. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone with five people in their party or even two couples. Wear yourself out like we did or just sit around and enjoy the view, you can't go wrong here.

Absolute Paradise!!!!

This was our first trip to Maui, and what a trip it was. Our condo was absolutely beautiful with all the ammenities we needed. The view off the lania is georgous. Peter was very helpful and gave us very good information, as it was our first time there. I really didn't want to leave when it was our time up. Our condo was so comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the golf course, the beach, snorkeling, and a few of our favorite restraunts. I would definetly recommend renting Peters condo and plan on staying here again in the near future. This was definitely our favorite vacation spot ever in our lives and we are in our 50's. Thanks Peter for our wonderful stay, and looking forward to our next!!!!!

The best of the Kapalua Ridge Villas!

My husband and I had a pleasure of staying at this beautiful condo in November of 2011. This was our fifth stay at Kapalua and we both agreed that it was the best! We absolutely loved this spacious, clean and well appointed condo with more than 180 degree ocean views, perfectly equipped kitchen, beautiful furnishings, easy access to the beaches and swimming pools. We stopped at Costco on the way to the villa and bought everything we needed to cook some fantastic meals. Great four-star restaurants, Merriman's and Pineapple Grill, are located within walking distance. We loved the Sea House restaurant on the beach. It has great happy hour drink, food specials and fantastic views. We loved to sit on the balconies often to enjoy the views and the sound of the waves. Both Kapalua Bay and Napili Bay are a short walk away and are great for snorkeling, whale and turtle watching. Yoga classes at Karlton Ritz and eight-mile long Kapalua Resort hiking trails through the woods in the mountains were our discovery on this trip. This was truly our best vacation ever and we didn't want to leave. We can't wait to come back again next year as we now have found our favorite place to rent in Kapalua. Thanks a Million to Peter the owner for sharing your awesome villa in paradise... we'll be back!!

Upon arrival everything was imacculate. The view was stunning. Condo was perfect in every way. We couldn't believe such quality at such a reasonable price. Much nicer than more expensive rentals. Our daughter got married in Maui and our accommodations at the Ridge were beyond our expectations. We plan to return to Maui for our next vacation and plan to stay again in this condo. Fabulous and Romantic.

We have been staying in west Maui for over 10 years in our Hawaii vacations, but I have to admit this Villa was our best stay. Fabulous Ocean view from all rooms and comfortable setting was such delight. I have to say I think the photos don't really justify this gorgeous place. Peter the owner was very friendly and helpful. We live in northern California. My sister and her husband were visiting from Europe, so we shared this Villa for our Maui vacation, great value for the very nice place. All of us had unforgettable memories from the place and our stay. The Villa's location is so convenient. Steps away from best beaches like Kapalua beach, and world known restaurants like Sansei Japanese, and Merriman's. You can indulge and not to worry about driving back!! Most of our activities were walking distance from the Villa, not to mention that we did so much of hiking and jogging around Kapalua. Two Thumbs Up for us.

Incredible Vacation

We have been staying at the Kapalua Ridge over the last 25 years. Clearly we love Kapalua. This was our first time to rent this unit. It was by far the nicest we have ever rented. The view as you enter is spectacular! This home has all the amenities you could possibly need during your stay. The kitchen is gorgeous and the upgrades are tastefully done. It is conveniently located to the pool, yet, quiet. Peter included a nice package of recommended things to do. From that we discovered amazing hikes that were new to us. Our "must do" list keeps growing. You will not regret staying here. We will be back.

Amazing Views, Amazing Place

Stayed here in late March / early April. The place is as advertised, and then some. Where to start? Very large unit, 2 bedrooms, 3 baths, walk in closet, living room, dining area, beautiful kitched, granite counter tops .... more room than my family needed, but great to spread out on a vacation. The views ....incredible. Wrap around lania, two smaller ones (off each bedroom). Loved just looking out at the Ocean, other island, the occasional whale spout in the distance ...... very nice. Appointments - Flat screen tv's with cable, on demand viewing options .... kept the kids entertained while packing or unpacking. Small washer and dryer, nice to be able to wash select clothes as needed. Oh, and don't forget to check out the closet in the 2nd(?) bathroom .... was well stocked with boogie boards, swim toys, sand toys .... all left behind by previous guests, but nice to have them. Pool - not "private" for this unit, but there is a very nice pool 50 yds from the door of this unit, for use by the condos. Never saw more than 5 other people at the pool, and very nice for mid-day breaks. By the way, also has two very clean, very nice Weber grills down there .... couple nights just walked down to the grills and cooked up some burgers, chicken, and marinaded Mahi Mahi .... good way to relax and save a little. Beaches: Walk to the beach in front of the unit (4 minutes?), for a nice walk on beach. For more fun, take a little bit longer walk by the Ritz, and there is Flemming Beach. Has to be one of the top beaches in the islands. Inventory - Place is well stocked - towels, dishes, utensiles, toys .... even had a road to Hana self guide CD on the desk (although we didn't use). Location - Far North side of the island - in the upscale area. 15 min drive to the main strip places, butquite and classy on the North side. It was a bit windy, but mark down to time of year and didn't bother us at all. Couple of Tips: Stay here, nice unit, really enjoyed the Vacation. Cruises: Trinity Sailing does a fantastic tour package, a litte more, but they do a great job. Save a few $$ on dining? CJ's diner - great food from a strip mall location, at good prices. Whaler's Village: Upscale mall, but has a free Museum and local shows some evenings. Very nice dining at Cane and Taro, had 50% off Tues/Wed from 5 to 6. Worth it, and they validate parking. If you visit the aquarium, the restraunt there is worth a stop (lunch only). In gernal, great vac, great condo. Owner was very responsive.

Three generation vacation

Our family of 5, 2 granddaughters 7 and 10, their grandmother and parents, spent a week at the villa. It was the vacation of a lifetime and what a beautiful place to spend it. Everything was as promised and more. Peter was always a phone call or an e-mail away to promptly answer questions and provide advice. One place we enjoyed but haven't seen mentioned is the Times Grocery. I would and have recommended this property to anyone wanting a beautifully appointed rental in Maui.

Arrangements for renting the villa were simple and the owner was most responsive providing helpful info. The view could not have been better. The villa was spacious and quite comfortable with tastful Hawaii decor. All the basics were provided including wifi. Very short walk to beautiful beaches, golf or dinner at Merrimans or Ritz Carlton. You will not be disappointed with this villa. I would rent again.

We had a great time here. Plenty of space and very comfortable. We saw whales everyday from our balcony. The kitchen has everything you need and makes it very easy to make meals in, as well as, being close to many nice restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone.

Perfect Vacation

This is a wonderful Villa. The views are just spectacular and the pictures on VRBO just don't do it justice. The condo is very spacious - much bigger than we actually needed. There are large closets in each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with nice pans and utensils and the barbecue at the pool was particularly nice for us. We loved sitting in the living room and watching the waves hit the shoreline. The master bedroom has a great enclosed lanai with a phenomenal view of the bays. Peter (the owner) was very responsive and helpful and his assistance was very useful. All in all, this was a great place and I highly recommend it. The next time I go to Maui, I will definitely try to rent this Villa.

As many of the previous reviews stated, the views from this condo are fantastic. That's a really good thing since my brother-in-law didn't even mind recuperating here from his emergency appendectomy that he had his first night on island. He said that it was the best view he could have hoped for. It was also nice that entry into the unit didn't require any steps for him. The unit is very nicely furnished and had many extras that we hadn't even counted on. There were beach chairs that someone left, coolers, boogie boards, etc. Everything was in good working condition. The pool located very close to the condo was awesome and the 2 gas grills worked very well. We used them several times. The grounds of Kapalua are pristine with gardeners working continuously. Peter was just great to work with. He is so prompt in answering any emails sent to him. We could reach him at any time if we needed him. We would absolutely stay in Ridge 2812 again.

Having stayed at the Ridge several times before, this particular unit has one of the most awesome views available. The updated furnishings were tasteful, functional and comfortable. All the techno creature comforts were provided, including WiFi Internet access and cable TV via flat panel monitors. The owner was especially helpful and organized, and promptly answered any questions we had prior and during our stay. We would definitely stay at this unit again, and would gladly recommend it to our friends and family.

This is a fantastic condo and a really incredible value! We had an amazing week in Kapalua and the condo really helped to make our vacation perfect. As other reviewers have noted, everything was either as good or better than advertised – including the view of the ocean which is stunning. The condo is quite spacious and was perfect for our family. All three main rooms – both bedrooms and living room - are very large. Two of the three bathrooms are huge with large bathtubs (which our daughter loved!). It’s well-equipped with anything you will need from a modern kitchen with great cooking supplies to beach towels, sand toys, and boogie boards. On a few nights we took advantage of the fact that the condo is right next to the two new gas grills at the pool area and grilled dinner. We also loved that the pool was so close. The condo is conveniently located near all the great attractions in Kapalua – a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous Napili and Kapalua beaches and the Bay Golf Course & Pineapple Grill, a 10 minute walk to the Ritz and DT Fleming Beach. We never even used the free Kapalua shuttle though we saw it frequently shuttling guests throughout the Ridge complex. The owner is extremely helpful and all of the information provided made our arrival and trip very easy. For example, we had a question when we arrived that he answered immediately. We highly recommend this unit!!

What a fantastic place to stay! We loved the view. The apartment is spacious and comfortably furnished. The 2 beaches closeby are separated bye a ridge, one allowing for good snorkeling and one with nice waves. My husband, 2 preteen sons, and I loved it here.

The apartment was exceptional . The pictures do no do justice to the spectacular view form the apartment . The apartment was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Everything about this condo was as advertised or even better. The condo was spotlessly clean and maintained, and the owner responded immediately to any questions. We especially enjoyed the Plantation House Restaurant (excellent Eggs Benedict), the Gazebo for breakfast (folks drive from all over the island to eat breakfast here), and the tour of the Hana Highway. A tour of Pearl Harbor in Honolulu is a must--via a short plane ride from the small airport 10 minutes away. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Peter, for a fantastic vacation! This condo is a real bargain!

We loved the view and ocean breeze! The condo was private, spacious, and very clean. We appreciated that it was non-smoking and no pets. The new king bed was comfortable and we liked having a safe in the master bedroom. The attached carport was very convenient. The nearby snorkeling was fantastic and we spotted a pod of whales during our helicopter tour. We'd like to thank the owner for being so helpful in responding so quickly to our questions/needs!

The wrap around view was stunning from the moment we entered the condo: waves foaming on the sandy beach below, white surf against the lava points, and whales breeching and blowing in the expansive view of blue ocean. The view far exceeded our expectations, as did the size of the condo. The two bedrooms comprise two separate wings with equal large master baths. Every day we had a different route to walk with the multitude of walking/hiking trails in Kapalua. Our favorite beaches are all nearby: Onoloa, Kapalua, and Napili. For variety, Kaanapali is only a short drive away where you can walk for miles. Kapalua is less densely populated than other areas in West and South Maui; the beautiful landscaping along with the natural island background is in perfect balance.

This condo is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The view is to die for - we even saw whales from our lanai!!! I was concerned if the condo would be big enough for my husband, two children, and my mother, however it was more than we actually needed!!! We used the Kapalua shuttle service daily to go to the beach and Ritz Carlton. It was so convenient. The pool is steps away which our children really enjoyed. It has 2 gas grill that we used a few times as well. Usually we were the only people using the pool. All in all, it was the best vacation and the owners were very helpful and responded to any question we had. Thanks again for everything!
