This charming 3600 square foot custom home is located in the Sheep Meadow neighborhood of Homestead Preserve, completed in the fall of 2006. Why the Owner Chose Hot Springs
Katie and I have traveled all over the world together and own properties in Vail, Colorado, Snowshoe, West Virginia and The Turks and Caicos Islands, but we truly fell in love with the idea of settling down in my home state of Virginia. We both attended Randolph-Macon College; not too far from here, in Ashland, VA, so are now able to reconnect with friends and family that we haven’t seen in years. We found that this amazing mountain paradise of Bath County Virginia had all of the wonderfully adventurous activities we have grown to love as well as the finest levels of culture, music and service we now seek out in a vacation destination. The Homestead Preserve community has all of this and more! We are one of a handful of home owners who will ever be this close to the legendary Homestead Resort, while at the same time enjoy the protection of almost 10,000 acres of protected landscape. Our ownership within Homestead Preserve/Membership at The Homestead Golf and Tennis Club allows us and of course our guests/renters access to all of the private amenities this wonderful resort has to offer. The scarcity of quality real estate in this region of Virginia combined with this irreplaceable planned resort community provided just the right amount of safety and value proposition to secure our level of comfort. We feel we have made a wise investment in real estate, but more importantly...in ourselves.

Take Ski lodge Drive, just off the main entrance, into the Homestead Preserve to access Falconry Ridge Cottage. Follow the golf course up hill to the trout pond and you will see the cottage above you.
Secondary entrance to the Homestead Preserve off or Rt. 220. Follow Talbotts Lane to the north entrance. Take Sheep Meadow Rd. for one mile. Falconry ridge will be on your right, just at the edge.
You can see the ski slopes from the front porch, living room and all South facing windows. You look out over the Sheep Meadow trout pond and you are less than a mile to the golf course and the front
This spring fed, 2 acre pond provides a beautiful natural amenity right outside the door of Falconry Ridge Cottage. A cascading water fall flows from the natural spring above. Amazing place to take

My wife Katie and I built Falconry Ridge Cottage as our primary residence back in 2006. At the time we had just been married at The Homestead Resort and had fallen in love with this beautiful resort. Today we reside in Charlottesville, VA along with our two daughters, Hayden and Abigail, our two labs, Gunner and Bailey and our crazy island cat, Smokey.
