Perfect for large family

Guest: Glen (Houston, Texas)

Compact but roomy, it's located on the first floor (that's the second floor for Americans). Lots of beds for everybody and enough space so you don't trip over each other. Some of the appliances were a bit tricky to use, but you learn quick. Only real problem was door was tricky to use.

A Real Find

Guest: Sandy (Denver, CO USA)
Date of Stay: 06/04/11 Review Submitted: 06/20/11

This apartment is within walking distance of the Collesuem, Palentine Hill and the Forum and a major metro stop. There were 2 very large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. While the living/kitchen space was small, we didn't spend much time in the apartment so that was not a concern. The apartment building opens onto an inner courtyard which kept the street noise level low so we were able to open our windows at night. There are a couple of small stores just outside the apartment building entrance and the children loved to go down in the morning and pick out fruit for snacks or breakfast. We particularly fell in love with the tankless hot water heater which allowed everyone to have a long hot shower in the evening after a day of walking. Paolo was extremely helpful the first day that we arrived. He provided a map to the city and then showed us where are the tourist sights were that we wanted to visit; that saved us a lot of time and frustration. There are several lovely restaurants in the area (try the Royal). I'd recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the ancient Roman section of the city.

Our stay

Guest: Eileeb (San Francisco, CA )
Date of Stay: 11/13/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

This apartment is very comfortable and in an excellent location. Three couples stayed here in November. The bedrooms are comfy and the bathrooms are newly renovated. The kitchen/dining area is very convenient. In addition to being within walking distance of the Forum, San Giovanni in Laterno and two different Metro stops, the neighborhood itself is great. Many good restaurants, a grocery store, an outdoor market, a pharmacy and other shops. Every day walk out the door and see the Colleseum! And, the owner, Paulo Marroccu was very helpful in arranging transportation helping us get oriented. I would highly recommend this rental.

Owner response:Ciao! "grazie mille" for your kind words and I hope to have you as my guest again in the near future! Arrivederci a Roma!!! Paolo & Mother Rosa

Great Place To Stay

Guest: 4 GMs on Pre-cruise Holiday (Alexandria, VA USA)
Date of Stay: 10/16/10 Review Submitted: 11/05/10

My friends and I (4 single guys) stayed at Paolo's apartment on 10/16-18/2010 and found it to be quite nice. It is very well located close to the Coloseum, the Roman Forum, restaurants, and 2 metro stations. We walked to most of the sights, including Vatican City (albeit a long walk). There is a nice grocer next door from which fresh veggies can be purchased if you like to cook. Paolo was great in setting up reasonably priced transport from the airport. Thanks to Paolo (and his Mom) for helping to make our stay enjoyable.

Unforgettable time in an AMAZING location!!

Guest: Lily (Austin, Texas)
Date of Stay: 03/11/10 Review Submitted: 09/07/10

This place is absolutely amazing. There were four of us in our group & we used 2 of the 3 bedrooms. What a gem! So clean, neat and near everything. Minutes from all the sights, but in a quiet area. What a delight to nap with the window open while the sounds of Rome drifted in! We didn't rent a car (who wants to park?) and didn't need it! Paolo helped us with taxi arrangements and met us at the door. So helpful and kind. Other people suggested hotels, but the best way to see Rome is at Paolo's house! You won't be disappointed. Although it took me a long time to get to review his place (sorry, about that!), my friends & I are STILL talking about it. Recommending it to other people, too! Thanks, again, Paolo. You are great!

Our family and extended family stayed in this apartment. It was well equipped, clean and secure and the location was excellent. All you had to do was walk. We also found that you could get some food and drinks on the same block as the apartment. Paulo was very helpful and his mom was very sweet. We would definately recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in this area. It was an amazing place to explore.

Owner response:Dear Anthony, I’m very happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay in Rome and at my apartment. I and my mother always try to do our best and we are pleased to have a review like this, complementing our hard work and enthusiasm to allow people a great stay in the city we love so much. Thank you and hope to meet you again! Paolo&Rosa

Roman Holiday is the best

Guest: Stellish (Pacific Grove, CA USA)
Date of Stay: 05/07/10 Review Submitted: 05/25/10

Working with Paolo and Roman Holiday was the best thing ever for our first time trip to Rome! Paolo paid close attention to details and was a man of his word! You are steps away from the Colosseum and restaurants and sights. The apt was very comfortable and we loved hearing the song birds in the morning that added to our Rome experience. One of the shower heads broke while we were there and Paolo was there immediately to replace it. He arranged for responsible transport for us twice and all his recommendations were superb. We can't wait to return someday!

After our unforgettable stay in Rome I just want to tell that we were extremely satisfied with everything - taxi service was perfect, Paolo very kind and helpful, and the apartment so nice and so clean and supplied with small things that make a difference that we felt immediately at home. All in all, I'll for sure recommend your apartment to all my friends :-) Best regards and once again thanks for everything! Svetlana
