L'appartamento e' veramente confortevole, si trova vicino ai luoghi di ,maggior interesse (il colosseo è a due passi) e non sono necessari mezzi pubblici per visitare la città Le nostre famiglie si sono trovate veramente bene e consiglieremo questo alloggio per chi desidera tranquillità, confort senza rinunciare alle attrattive di Roma che sono tutte molto ben raggiungibili Ritorneremo sicuramenteRecommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed here five nights over Christmas with my wife and four teenage children. We found the apartment clean, modern, and well situated. The two full bathrooms were a plus with four teenagers. Paolo met us (and was very patient as I got a little lost in the last few hundred meters) and was a big help with the baggage and getting us organized. He was also very flexible with the checkout time. I parked on the street right outside the apartment and had no problems at all. The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to get the back two bedroom televisions to work. All told, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hi Paolo... I am so sorry this review is coming so late, life has been crazy since i've been back from Italy. My friends/colleagues and I stayed at Paolo's apartment in October and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Paolo was very helpful to all of us when we arrived. He was very good at explaining things and had a book to highlight all the major attractions in Rome. His apartment is clean and is exactly how it looks in the pictures shown. The apartment is just down the street from the Colosseum. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops along the street of the apartment and anywhere you eat there is really good authentic Italian food. We did a lot of walking when we were there and pretty much walked or took the train to all the major sights. Thank you so much for being such a great host to us. I hope one day to come back to Italy and will most definitely stay in your apartment again.... The apt was very clean, tidy and organized, provided everything we needed, including washing machine, iron, iron board, extra pillows blanket etc.... It's very typical Rome resident apt, made us feel like local. Easy access to blue and red line metro, as well as the heart of Rome's historical point of interests all within walking distance. Even it's close to tourist area, it's very quiet and comfortable stay, not crowded, the building are safe with on-site doorman. Bakery stores, groceries store are just downstairs. We can easily grab a bottle of wine, or get a piece of good quality steak and have good meal at te apt. The kitchen is fully equiped. The living room is very spacious as well. Paolo is very warm and kind, almost too kind! Not only briefly introduce where we should visit, where we can find good foods etc but also helped us on every single little things like booking taxi to airport, even that was last minute request. He also provides us an very details information folder with personal notes, lots of travellers info books on the bookshelf, that makes our trip even easier, especially that's our first visit to Rome. We had a great stay and very memerobale holidays. If we ever go back to Rome again, there won't be another place to stay. It gotta be this apt again!! Thanks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much Karen for your kind review :) I am so very pleased to hear that you and your friends had a wonderful time and enjoyed the apartment :) I hope to see you all again in the future! Ciao from Rome! Paolo

We just stayed at Paolo’s wonderful place for almost two weeks (4 and then 6 adults). The apartment is exactly as depicted in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. There is plenty of hot water. I’m a sensitive sleeper and was delighted that the rooms, all facing the courtyard or an inner well, were quiet during sleeping hours. After 3 terrible experiences renting from Roman Reference in past years, we were overjoyed to find Paolo and his apartment! Unlike other agencies, with Paolo you’re dealing with the owner directly. This is a HUGE plus. Paolo loves what he does and it shows. He is friendly, warm and eager to please. He helped us in so many ways, giving us insider tips on his favorite places to eat around the city, things to see and do, long distance calling, how to get taxis, you name it. After 1 week, he had the apartment cleaned again and all the linens and towels changed. We never had that service with the other agencies. The location is very good. It’s more like living in an Italian neighborhood instead of a tourist ghetto. Numerous buses are available at San Giovanni in Laterano, a short walk. Nearby there is the L’800 Salone da Te where they make fantastic cappuccinos, hot chocolates and brioches and where you can buy bus tickets. It’s very typical Italian, no tourists. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance; we especially enjoyed I Clementini, which Paolo recommended. The Colosseum, Forum and 2 supermarkets are about 10-15 minutes walk. There are 2 convenience stores run by the nicest people right next door to the apartment. We enjoyed talking walks around the neighborhood after dinner. It was a great place to stay. We will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Compact but roomy, it's located on the first floor (that's the second floor for Americans). Lots of beds for everybody and enough space so you don't trip over each other. Some of the appliances were a bit tricky to use, but you learn quick. Only real problem was door was tricky to use.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This apartment is within walking distance of the Collesuem, Palentine Hill and the Forum and a major metro stop. There were 2 very large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. While the living/kitchen space was small, we didn't spend much time in the apartment so that was not a concern. The apartment building opens onto an inner courtyard which kept the street noise level low so we were able to open our windows at night. There are a couple of small stores just outside the apartment building entrance and the children loved to go down in the morning and pick out fruit for snacks or breakfast. We particularly fell in love with the tankless hot water heater which allowed everyone to have a long hot shower in the evening after a day of walking. Paolo was extremely helpful the first day that we arrived. He provided a map to the city and then showed us where are the tourist sights were that we wanted to visit; that saved us a lot of time and frustration. There are several lovely restaurants in the area (try the Royal). I'd recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the ancient Roman section of the city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

This apartment is very comfortable and in an excellent location. Three couples stayed here in November. The bedrooms are comfy and the bathrooms are newly renovated. The kitchen/dining area is very convenient. In addition to being within walking distance of the Forum, San Giovanni in Laterno and two different Metro stops, the neighborhood itself is great. Many good restaurants, a grocery store, an outdoor market, a pharmacy and other shops. Every day walk out the door and see the Colleseum! And, the owner, Paulo Marroccu was very helpful in arranging transportation helping us get oriented. I would highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Ciao! "grazie mille" for your kind words and I hope to have you as my guest again in the near future! Arrivederci a Roma!!! Paolo & Mother Rosa

My friends and I (4 single guys) stayed at Paolo's apartment on 10/16-18/2010 and found it to be quite nice. It is very well located close to the Coloseum, the Roman Forum, restaurants, and 2 metro stations. We walked to most of the sights, including Vatican City (albeit a long walk). There is a nice grocer next door from which fresh veggies can be purchased if you like to cook. Paolo was great in setting up reasonably priced transport from the airport. Thanks to Paolo (and his Mom) for helping to make our stay enjoyable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers.
