This offering is for a stately, two-story, lakefront home on 173 feet of waterfront with soft sand & a gradual bottom perfect for swimming all within 1 acre of private property surrounded by tall pines.
Built in 1911, this charming and stately estate has the original field stone fireplace for a warm romantic and "camp style" atmosphere. The wrap-around flagstone deck fronts the lake as well as the grassed lawn areas; and a front screened porch allows bug-free outdoor relaxing with a magnificent view of the lake.
inside, are natural wood flooring, walls and ceilings throughout. Four bedrooms on the second floor with five full size beds and a full modernized bathroom, offers private and comfortable sleeping arrangements. An exquisite living room and dining room with lake views, accompanied by a large eat-in kitchen and a half-bath on the first floor, provides more than adequate community living.
A wooded lot with tall evergreens and large grassed lawns provide plenty of privacy. 1 rear entrance; 1 side entrance, 2 front entrances allow easy access.
Northeast Pond or "Milton Three Ponds" as it is sometimes called, is a recreational lake with boating and skiing and is quite interesting as it is actually three ponds connected by boat access through channels and rivers. The lake is protected by a lake protection association.

Lake Weekend

We stayed at the cabin for a girls weekend (in celebration of my sister's upcoming wedding). The cabin was perfect for the group. It's right on the lake and there's tons of land on property, so we were able to hang out, play games, and enjoy the water. The cabin is older (thin walls), but if it's among friends, it a perfect setting to pile everyone into one place for a get together. The owners were very responsive, and Ric always returned my emails or phone messages within a day. Thanks for the great weekend - we may be back again soon!

My husband and I wanted a place to just sit and enjoy the view. Also a place where my sister, her husband and 3 kids (6, 12 and 14) could come and relax after their older daughter's wedding. This place was perfect. Close to home but we all felt that we were far away from it all. There were so many games and toys available to use, it was awesome. The lake is very clean. The house's waterfront is quite kid friendly- starts out shallow and sandy. We used the paddle boat and canoe daily. A marina very close by was great for jet ski rentals. The house was so clean when we first entered. That was quite impressive and comforting. The house itself is a beautiful home yet with a camp feel. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, plates, serving ware and utensils. We easily made our five star meals. A gem of a place. The Delislio's were always available, easy to rent from and answered all our questions. The rental representative can really add or detract from the experience but we had no problems. As a matter of fact,Ric took care of the wine bottles we forgot in the fridge. Thanks Ric!

I was looking for a waterfront rental to "unplug" and spend some quality time with my family that included an 8 and 12 year old. Edgewater was exactly what I was hoping for! Very clean, camp style home with plenty of charm. I loved it more and more each day we were there. The water was clear, sandy bottom. We swam, fished and used the supplied canoe and paddleboat daily. We even paddled the short distance to Everett's Cove to rent a pontoon boat for the day our friends came to visit. Drove about one hour to Kittery Outlets for a bit of shopping, went to McKenzie Farm ( 5 minutes away) to pick raspberries and had a fabulous dinner ( and wine) at the Governer's Inn. The rest of the time was spent swimming, boating, fishing or just enjoying the views. Woke each morning with a smile listening to the soothing water and the not so soothing but equally enticing loons. The pond is large, not too busy. Owner quickly responded to all my inquiries. If you are looking for a place for some r and r ,this is the spot!

My family (1 toddler, 2 children, a teenager and 6 adults) and I were very pleased when we arrived at the house. Photos can be misleading as they will often show the most charming angle, but every angle of this house is charming. It is like moving into a families home for a week. But if you have small children, do be aware that what makes this like a home is all the delicate dishes and decorations within reach of curious hands. We had to stash many things up high. We loved the warmth and charm of the old house, the stunning view across the lake, the haunting call of the loons over the water, the refreshing waters, the variety of boats available for our use, and the ice cream at the marina in Maine (just a 10 minute paddle from the house). We wished that we had had a cool enough day so that we would have a good reason to light the magnificent fireplace, but the days were warm and the lake beckoned us to swim and paddle. There were also plenty of games, indoors and outdoors, to keep young and older entertained when not swimming. You can also depend on the lessor's to answer your questions promptly. I had a slew of questions that were all asked by email and answered within a day -- sometimes, within minutes. Overall, an excellent experience.
