Why the Owner Chose Hayes Valley
We bought this property because of the neighborhood. It has a unique mix of walking convenience to all that a big city has to offer, such as music, theater, museums, restaurants and night life, and yet still retains a homey feeling.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
The shops, restaurants, and nightlife of this neighborhood are exciting, dynamic and diverse. There is easy freeway access, and so many famous San Francisco sites within easy walking distance, including Alamo Square, Hayes Valley shopping, Opera Plaza, Symphony Hall, Theaters, Museums, The Castro District, City Hall and so much more. One ritual we enjoy is walking our dog at Alamo Square early in the evening during "doggie social hour" when the best-behaved dogs play together in the park.
A view made famous by the show "Full House" is a row of beautifully painted Victorians with downtown in the background. Great park for dog walking-off leash area is very social. Children's playground
Unique shops, boutiques, cafes, etc. begin here on Hayes Street. Shoes, clothing for him/her/children, antiques, art galleries and more. Great Restaurants and nightlife.
The famous Castro District with its Gay nightlife, shops and restaurants begins here.
Within 1-2 blocks of this Davis Symphony Hall location are SF Opera and War Memorial Opera House, SF Ballet, SF Asian Art Museum, Main Branch SF Public Library, City Hall and many unique galleries
Bloomingdale's, Nordstroms, Borders Books, Century Theater, Bose stereos and so much more make this a shopper's must-do. Metreon arcade and theater across the street. SF MOMA 1 block away. http://w
Owner's Map of Hayes Valley
I am a special ed teacher who works with non-verbal students and have many hobbies. I love old cars and have a 1963 Lincoln Continental. My dog Girl and I love all the attention we get when we ride out to the beach on Sunday mornings. Coincidentally, Girl's fur matches the car, and she sits in the back as if she where queen of all she surveys. I also love to travel, and to be able to cook for myself while in new places, especially enjoying shopping at new grocery stores and specialty food shops.
