  Rentors beware! The property was not clean nor was it well maintained. On our arrival, it appeared that the linens had been changed but all other housekeeping was neglected. There were disposable razor parts in the shower, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, food crumbs table and counter as well as in fridge and microwave. In addition, the hot tub water was green and smelled bad. Both owners were unavailable when called; neither responded to my messages.

  Owner response: Rentors arrived at our cabin at 12:30 (check in is not until 2pm per our contract). Our cleaner was in the process of cleaning the cabin and had left for lunch. The cabin was cleaned and ready by 2pm. Our hot tub is professionally cleaned on a regular basis. During our weekly visit no green water or smell was noticed.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Copper Ridge! It is 10 minutes from Boone and ASU. It is about 15 minutes from Blowing Rock. Boone and Blowing Rock are perfect for lots of outdoor activities, shopping and great restaurants (Hob Knob, Melanie's and Black Cat Cafe in Boone... Twigs, Canyons, Story Street Grill and Six Pence Pub in Blowing Rock). The view is spectacular and included grazing cows in the pasture just behind the cabin! The heated tile floors in the bathrooms were greatly appreciated along with the fireplace that warmed the living area on chilly mornings. The Hot Tub was a fun treat. I would recommend this cabin to anyone, especially for fall leaf viewing season!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Very Very Nice, Clean, Well Kept Cabin, It was NICE, and Relaxing, QUITE , so enjoyable...wish we could have stayed longer, we will most definatly be back at this one...Very Very Nice, Updated Decore, and Comfortable and Cozy, the beds even slept great !!! My kids loved their room.

  We were in Boone last week (5-5-11) to attend my son's graduation from Appalachian State University we stayed in the Copper Ridge cabin for 3 days. I have to say what a nice way to closeout my son's stay in NC. The pictures on here are nice but no way give you a feel for how nice it is, comfy, cozy, the gas fireplace starts with a flip of a switch, the hot tub hot, just remove the cover and step in. This was a fantastic price considering the hotels in the area(which aren't real nice)are 150.00 a night and up during season. This cabin is perfect for a couple and their kids or even two couples (it has a double bunk bed). The owner responded right away and the rental transaction as smooth as possible.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  My sister, best friend and I just spent a fantastic weekend at this property! It is not huge, but it was perfect for us! The location was not too far from the downtown area, but still secluded enough that it was a real 'getaway'. The hot tub is conveniently located just a few steps from the front door, the deck wrapped around the building, although there were only 2 chairs, so it made it difficult for the three of us to hang out there. The coffee maker in the kitchen was great, although we would have loved to have had access to some salt and pepper when we were cooking. There were plenty of wine openers so we weren't lacking, and the place was VERY clean and looks like it's brand new! The TV was easy to figure out how to use, although we didn't watch much, we mostly played games. I can imagine it would be just as nice and even more cozy w/the gas fireplace in the winter! Will definitely consider coming back in the future!
